Kozue was bored because she didn't have a choice. She looked over at William as she thought about her own boredom. He could leave when ever he wanted. When she thought of that, she decided to bring up one of her pervious thoughts.
"Just wondering, how come you've stayed here so long?"

"A number of ressons. One to keep you company so you don't loose your mind as quickly in here. Two because I did have some school work to do but the teachers let me off and i talked them into leting me just take the tests. Three you seam to keep Mellony away."he said with a smile on his face.
Norah was starting to pull on the bed covers as he picked her up and pulled off his shoes. "Im going to regreat this." He mumbled to himself as he pulled of a socka nd made a not at one end and teased Norah with it until they ahd a game of tug of war.

"It sounds like your forcing youself because of the circumstances." Kozue didn't know what she was expecting, but she thought there would be an "I want to be here," some where on his list. She felt like she was keeping him prisoner. She felt guilty.

"Not realy. I had to bribe two teachers to be here." he said allmost braging. "Teachers here have veary good taist in wine... Mrs. Sakura will kill me when she sees the bill." He said inrelization of what he did. he sent four botles of soem veary exspensive wines to the teachers with his emergency creadit card. "she's going to smack for this one."

"It still sounds forced to me." Kozue turned away from William, feeling bad about starting the conversation in the first place. Kozue still couldn't understand William. Everytime she felt she had figured something out, she was lefted feeling foolish.

He chuckled some as he drug Norah acrossed the floor with the sock. She wasn't going to let go any time soon and more he pulled back more she was encoureged to hold on. She woudl ocationly let out a small litle growl.

Kozue didn't understand why he laughed, but she didn't feel like questioning him. She turned back to watch the tug of war between Norah and William. She suddenly felt sad, but she didn't know why.

"You ok Kozue?" He said looking up. Norah took the opertoonity to finaly break his grasp of the sock and ran under the bed with it to the other side struting around in a sorta victory dance.

Kozue heard the question, but for some reason, she wasn't sure how to respond. For a minute or two, she just looked at him before she decided it would be best to look away. It wouldn't be right of her to just look at him and not say anything.

"Kozue?" He siad all amusement from Norah gone in hsi voise. he stood up and walking over to to ehr bed he asked again. "Whats wrong Kozue?" he reached ove rand took ehr hand when he sat down on the side of the bed trying to get atention.

Kozue looked down at her hand and his and then looked back at him. She turned away from him again. Her vision suddenly became clouded with tears. She removed her hand from his and removed the tears before they could reach her cheek. She tired to think of a reason for her actions as she continued to remove stray tears.

"Was it some thing I said?" he asked taken back not shure what he did wrong. "Kozue, please tell me whats wrong?" He put a hand on her shoulder and tried to lok her in the eyes. "Kozue?" he said more and more woried. What did I do? Why is she so said now?

Kozue was able to keep her eyes from looking at his, but she wasn't as sucessful at keeping the tears back. The tears had managed to escape her eyes and travel all they way her cheek. Kozue gave up at trying to kee them back and let her hands fall in her lap as she cried.

Willaim looked down at the bed and said quietly, "if its me I'll leave if you want.." he slowly moved off the bed and picked up Norah aobut to leave the room. Norah spat out the sock into his hands and became more solem as if she understood that she was sad.

"It's not...it's not you." The words that came out were mumbled at best. She had managed to say them between sobs. She didn't want him to leave, but she didn't want him to feel like he had to stay either. What she really wanted was someone to tell her why she was acting the way she was.
