Kusargi decided that until the sky turned back to normal, there wasn't anything she could do.
W..what happened to me? I...I'm not the same person I was. I never fight, now I want two people dead? Ugh; this whole scenario has messed with my head.

 Leiot's tail turned into a mist and reformed, he flapped his wings to stay afloat while looking at the shadow dragon. '...Marishka....I feel I know you..' Only Kai and Marishka could hear Leiot's voice.

Kusargi tried calling out names again, trying to find someone to help her.
"Kai? Devon? Anyone? This whole being blind thing sucks."

Debido sensed the on coming attacks and transformed into a cat to dodge them. He then extinguished the fire, taking advantage of the darkness and his fur. He ran out of Kai's eye sight and began bombarding him with blasts of water.

Kusargi accidently walked into Debido, getting her pants wet due to the blast of water.
"Sorry." she said quietly. "Y'know, you're cute as a cat."

Debido meowed at Kusargi's comment, but it slurred to a vicious yowel as he remembered she was the enemy and he jumped and slashed at her.

She created an ice shield at the right time to stop Debido.
"Look; I don't like fighting. It's just, when I get going, I can't stop. I really am a good person, we just got off on the wrong foot. I guess you can say I'm a peacemaker." She lowered her shield to look at Debido in his eyes. "I...I don't wanna fight anymore Debido. Nothing good can come from fighting like this."

Debido transformed back with a sigh. "There's no point in hunting if your pray doesn't play along. Plus Kai healed the fatal wounds that damned prince gave me." his ears perked up. In the chaos of battle he didn't see Kuroi, the real target, run away. He groaned "Melody, retreat for now, continuing to fight will favor them strategicly! If you don't understand I'll explain back at camp." he said before transforming and running off to his campsite.

He..He spared me. That's not what I was expecting.
Kusargi saw a vision of Kuroi and Shina and ran to catch up to them, hoping she didn't trip over anything. She caught up to where they were and ran under them, keeping up with them with no effort at all

Kuroi saw Kusargi run up and Korosu dissapeared, Kuroi and Shina falling to the ground. "I take it....the battle's over?" he said through heavy breathing.

"Yea" she said out of breath. "I tried making peace with Debido but he ran away with Melody. I haven't seen Kai, Diana, or Devon since the fight started." She paused quickly. "Do you think they're okay Kuroi?"

Kuroi paused for a second. "If Kai was killed those two could've easily chased me down and finish me off. And Diana and Devon are both part cat, so their 6th sense should tell them to scram if they're in mortal danger....Shina however." he looked at her unconciouss body. "She injured herself restoring life to my shell so to say. It's odd, neither her body nor her mana stream, but more her self that's damaged. Like her soul or something."

Kusargi nodded with what he said.
"You bring up some good points. Kai isn't dead; that I'm pretty sure about. And I hope our cat friends come back." She looked at Shina with sad eyes. "She'll be fine Kuroi. Damage to the soul is a hard thing to fix, but I've seen people with torn souls make full recoveries." She put her hand on his shoulder. "We should get back to the Inn. I'll leave something for Devon, Diana, and Kai so that they can find us again."
She put frost on trees leading to the Inn, but she stayed in the same spot, hoping for some sign of the cat siblings. After a few minutes, she ran towards the Inn, hoping for some good news.

Devon sat at the dining room table of the Inn, playing a quick game of cards by himself, sighing gently as he did so.
Diana sat on the roof in a crouched position, staring out to the forest, trying to find the others. Her tail flicked back and forth happily as she sighed as well, getting tired.

Kusargi walked into the Inn, not bothering to wait for Kuroi or Shina; she figured they could take care of themselves. She saw Devon and sighed contently.
Thank heaven for that. He survived.
