Lily looked on in terror as Darius came straight towards her. She had no feeling as she stared on. What could she do after all? Make things explode- but that would only happen if she was in extreme anger, plus what would explosions do in this situation anyway?

Then Lily was hit full on- but not by the monster, but rather a human body. She looked up from the postion she was laying in, to find it was Jessi. She jumped to her feet and stood tentatively next to Jessi.

Lily gave Jess and annoyed look as she said that about Darius. "Hate to break it to ya, but the monster is Darius, thanks to the little creaton over there who calls himseld Kirik." Lily was impressed by Jessi's magic skills, and secretly envyed them, but there were bigger things to think about right now.

"Thanks for comming."

Jess looked at Lily in shock. Then she looked at the monster. "No way- your pulling my leg, Darius- he...he's so kind and sweet, this monster, he....no way."

Jess threw her hand at the little elf, wrapping him in vines and sending him up to eye level with Jess. "You explain EXACTLY what is going on. NOW!" Jess didn't say it directly, but if the monster truly was Darius....then maybe she should be fighting on the other side?

Kirik laughed a loud maniacal laugh, "Oh it's him allright, oh and to answer a simple question, you wonder why Darius is a half demon, that was my master, the man who could be innocent one moment...and if you get him angry...he'll turn into a killing machine...oh and you'll be his first victims on a long run of deaths. Enjoy!"

And with that Kirik teleported out of the vines.

The vines holding the demon suddenly snapped, leaving the thing formally known as Darius began to charge at Lily but his eyes looked into Lily's. There was a flash inside the body of the demon. Darius had started to stir inside of it. The demon slowed but it's face showed a look of something that was struggling with something inside.

Lily smiled and nodded along with Jess. this could work. she looked at the demon Darius with sadness in her eyes.

"Please Darius. I know your there.....please......"

Lily didn't really know what else to say. Could Jess and Lily reach the inner Darius? She hoped so, but there were no garantees and they were playing for their lives....

Lily smiled wickedly at Kirik. "Come on Darius. Jess and I can't go on without you. We both love you. Tell you what, if you'll come back to us, Jess and I promise we will never fight again. We love Darius with his little quirks and accident-prone personality and are willing to do anything to get him back."

She nodded to Darius then looked at Kirik with a very serious look on her face "Anything." She'd ment for Kirik to get the message that they wouldn't give up, but she also realized she'd sort of just asked him if there was any way to change him back, besides the tactic she was using now- like if he didn't come out this way, was there a trade she could make with Kirik to save Darius?

She shook it off, feeling confident in the tactic she and Jess were using now, and figured that she wouldn't even have to worry about her last little comment to Kirik.

There was a sudden blue flash of light. The was another loud yell from the demon.

"No it's impossible!!!! It can't be!!!" the demon screamed out loud.

"Damn..." Kirik said with a large look of frustration and with that he was gone...teleporting away from the scene.

The blue light began to fade. Darius body had once again revealed itself. He looked at the two girls and frowned. Lily showed signs of a brutal beating and Jess looked like she was sweating.

"Please tell me it didn't happen..."

Jess beamed as she saw Darius was back to himself again. She'd never fought with her words before, or atleast not like she just had. "Darius, you have no idea how great it is to see you. I was so worried." She felt Lily's arm slip around her neck. What now? They'd fought to save Darius and suddenly they were big buds? No way. Jess still despized Lily with every fiber of her being. but she knew that Lily was vertually useless- after all what kind of powers did she have? None, except a forcefeild, and ya, whats that gonna do in real intense combat like what'd just happened? NOTHING.

Suddenly Jess felt a burning hate for Lily. Darius loved this pathetic waste of life mass? No way. Quick as lightning she reached for the large knife that lay against her left hip, and pinned Lily to a tree, knife at her throat.

"You are so sad Lily. If it weren't for all these other people you'd be dead. In fact, you probably should have been dead a long time ago. Your so useless it's pathetic. Just a simple waste of human. Well I am here to do what someone should have done a long time ago.......Get rid of that little useless girl."

She smiled wickedly before turning to Darius. "Don't you dare take a step closer or I'll slit her throat right here, right now, if front of you....." Jess didn't know what was going on, but she didn't care, the only thought that was going through her mind was how she'd had to fight her whole life, and how she hated people who skated through life on other peoples strengths.

Lily felt herself suddenly thrust upon the tree as she saw a knife being raised to her throat. Panic filled her eyes as she looked at Darius. He though she was strong? She wasn't strong, if she'd been strong she'd would have broken away from her first master and lived a better life, but she didn't, and that made her weak and pathetic.

"Darius, Maybe she's right......I mean, it's me....you've had to save me from death 2ce since we've known each other......." Lily wanted to shake her head, but she stopped herself before she did so, realizing that, that would make her slit her own throat.
