Lt. Brookman Yup, with no warranty left. Just nine more days though until the release of the 360 Elite slim. gonk I was planning on getting one anyway and giving my old Elite to my nephews and niece, who are a bit poor. is it a full ring of all four lights or just three? if its three the warranty doesnt matter, after the scandal microsoft had a few years back with the 360's release and how many "3 red lights of death" (3RLoD) kept cropping up, they issued a thingy saying that they would fix or replace ANY 360 that had the 3RLoD. just remove your harddrive from the top and send it to them. they will fix it and send it back to you with NO maintanence fee, regardless of warranty. honestly, im kinda suprised you didnt know already...

The site stated that I couldn't get it done free of charge, though my brother is giving them a call tomorrow to check and see. Here's hoping they can do it free of charge.

Dead again, I guess it got too hot or something. its probably the heat sync. look at the vent on the back of the xbox, is it really dusty? if it is try to clear out the dust (not blowing, that just circulates it inwards). if this doesnt help send it off. as i said, if its 3 ringed microsoft will take it, i did it for a mates xbox just a couple weeks ago.

Getting a 360 Elite Slim with data transfer kit next week luv. If it does as the box says then I should have a quieter and cooler console. If not, at the very least a new brick for the next three years.
And if the old Elite is fixed, well then I'll just give it away.

I sent my Xbox 360 Premium off a month or so ago, due to red ring of death, but they didn't do that type of console any more.
So they sent me an elite, along with another controller, 120gb hard drive and new cables.
Lucky me eh?

I wouldn't know either way I have a play station XD never bricked on me. where I use my Wii...( I still groan every time I say that name) for a paper weight door stop and my xbawks is too young to brick....now that I said that 5$ says it will.
