Crawleymang~ Well... when I first started rp-ing a "free" character (not confined to an actual plot or advancing story rp)... People hated my character.. (who was actually more anti-hero than antagonist.. but I did attack the place and its people on different occasions.. causing them to "ally" against me. With two bounties being placed on my head for "dead" ) .. and that hatred carried over into OOC. And everyone hated me OOC because my IC character's atitude. See... just because Ertai is hated OOC doesn't make him a good antagonist. There are people I know who are nice OOC, who are great antagonists IC.
But I don't think you've ever talked to Ertai OOC.
Mostly because he's IC almost all the time.
He built a reputation IC, and he lives up to it.

Unless you're not counting the times where he says racist stuff to me and tells me I suck at roleplaying despite the fact that everytime he says he can kick my a**.. then we fought IC (we've done so twice), and he never proved to me anything except... well that's irrlevant.

Even if he talks to you in private doesn't mean that he's OOC. Most of the time he's still Ertai, not the person who plays the RP chara Ertai.
