Nyl sighed. She could tell Drake wasn't so hysterical now.
She knew something else, too. Even if Seph was no longer practicing elements, even if Fuji had been a coward in the end, even if Hwen didn't return...and if she never saw Sakiyn again...there were still people who needed her here. And she needed them, too.
She sighed again, reaching out with the thread of her power that remained.

Surely enough, with her panting and the pressure from within, he started to see a buldgey thingamabob, moments later, the babe was out and into his arms.

As Sage saw what was happening, he crept away as silently as he could, and sat down outside, to stare at the sky as he thought well, this could be worse, but at least it seems that the sad drunk will be ok.....and if nothing else, I can take solace that he probably distracted the lady nyl from tearing me limb from limb. so....huzzah!

Moon stared at the ceiling, fealing empty as a part of her as gone, she felt as if something was missing, but at the same time she was exhausted. She closed her eyes, her breathing unsteady as she tried to calm down.

Nyl got up from the floor, gently letting go of Drake, and walked out the door onto the porch, staring at the back of Sage's head.

*Drake stood carefully up to his feet and turned to face the door. He decided to go out into the forest, and to rethink some things. Nyl had sparked hope in him that used to be ever so abundant in his soul. Drake started walking out the door, but turned and whispered in a heartfelt voice to Nyl*

*he knew it wasn't the most extravagant way of saying thanks... but he couldn't find the words he wanted. What mattered is that it came from his heart and with that thought he slowly treaded out into the forest*

Feeling a bit woosy himself, wondering how the hell he or any other person could be born, he looked around, a cloud bringing him a damnp and dry towel which he then cleaned the babe off with. Using a medical knife, he quickly cut the cord from the babe's navel and from inside Moon once ha had placed their son into her hands.

Moon looked at the child that was now in her arms. She stared at it as if mystified, making sure to keep support of the back of his head, she did not want any necks snaping. "He's so... beautiful..." She couldn't beilve such and adorable baby boy could have come from her.

Sage blinked at nyl, " you think I didn't spend any time learning my abilities? well, that's nice, but wrong. I spent a good deal of time learning how to channel my mental energies into a useful form, and more after that gaining mental stamina. another block of time was spent seeking out the otherworldly realm of ectoplasm, and under the guidance of another I learned how to call it from that realm and to this one. the drawbacks being of course that it requires a mental charge to remain here, and whatever is made from it never lasts more than a day at most. however, throwing abilities around? I figured it would bring the attention of someone who could either teach me the practices of this place, or at least inform me of laws, customs and the like." after spouting all of this forth, Sage takes a deep breath and relaxes.
