Everyone dreams every night; it's a scientific fact. However, some people are simply unable to recall those dreams. I won't say that people "forget" their dreams, because it's literally impossible to forget something: once you learn something, it is forever stored in your memory. As time passes, and dependant upon the importance of the memory, your brain synapses lose their ability to access the memory, but it's still there, just unreachable.
That's my theory anyway. :3 Is it not obvious what I want to study when I grow up? xD

Like, nightmares of monsters and such that you've never seen before, or like for instance that one time I had a dream that an entire town was chasing after me, and when they finally had me cornered, they broke out into an extremely well performed song and dance, the likes of which I have never seen/heard before. Where's that sorta crap come from?

Dreams are kinda like your mind's subconscious way of sorting through recent events. So it's natural to dream about stuff that you've seen or done recently. When people I know are in my dreams they're usually wearing the same clothing I saw them in last.
My dreams are also heavily influenced by stuff I've been watching... so I end up dreaming about House or Heroes or Grey's Anatomy or Charmed or whatever. They're usually fun dreams though so I'm not gonna complain. blaugh
Mmmm.... McDreamy... 4laugh

Happy Birthday Willow!! *super hugs*
I had a horrid nightmare last night. Which is saying something because I so very rarely have bad dreams. They are so few and far between I can count on my hand the amount i've had in the last three years. and it's like three. *laughs* But yeah. Scary.

Thank you everyone. heart Lee and Max, thank you for the panda. ^__^
Now, as for my theory on weird dreams? Well... to be perfectly honest, I'm not certain. Dreams aren't exactly my specialty; it's more of the mind itself that I've been focusing on lately. If I had to make an educated guess, however, I would say that that's just your imagination's way of heavily manifesting itself as you dream.
