((I'm not saying you're completely wrong. I agree with most of what you're saying. I'm just saying don't underestimate my character either or cut into my territory. K? ^_^
And yes, that was a slight get-back-at for all the times you said I was unreasonable and never listened to my reasoning in the first place. To me, writing out a huge-a** reason for everything I post is unnecessary, but I'd be happy to provide it. Don't tell others not to do it when both of you do it too! ))
Laura jumped to the side and while Bubba was still leaning forward, Laura slashed at his side and ran through the door he just busted down. She ran back down the hall and took a right.

((Yeah... it's only hard to envision your character as a powerhouse, explicitly because of the reason that she's so innocent. That's the way you write her. I particularly hate that type of character--too much Japanese schoolgirl-in-a-skirt-wielding-a-samurai-sword cliché-ish for me.))
Ignoring the cut, which went somewhat deep, Bubba turned and followed. He wielded the sledgehammer in a way that he could easily swing it at half-force, almost like a sword in the way which he held it against his uninjured thigh. This was tedious.

((No. I don't think of Japanese schoolgirl. I think of more of Jeanne de Arc (Joan of Arc) and St. George. You know the holy, logical, innocent, yet strong types. ))
Laura braced herself behind another door. She heard the sirens again and looked out the window. Several cop cars were coming down the road. It would only be a couple of minutes until the place was filled with cops. 'Damn it Lawliet! Get out her!' Laura yelled in her mind.

Bubba proceeded to force his way inside with a shoulder. Except it was braced, which he hadn't expected. Shrugging, he hefted the sledgehammer, before swinging it at the door.

((Yep. The dalphin of France sold her to the British, and the British accused her for being a witch for wearing man's armor and burned her at the stake. Her army attempted to rescue her, but they were too late. As she was burned, she requested to be faced with a cross, and when she was burned, the only thing remaining was her heart, which remained un-scorched. ))
As Bubba opened the door, Laura threw a small, wood and tile table at him. Even if it had little to no effect, it would still throw him off.

Bubba fell back a step, dropping the sledgehammer. It rolled down the now-sloped incline of the table's surface, clattering to the floor in Laura's direction, actually. Bubba shook his head, began to push, and shoved the table back into the next room, pushing it off to the side.
Sirens were omnipresent, now. Right outside. Bubba had one chance to end this, before things became complicated. With an emphasized growl, he whipped the handgun out of the small of his back, aiming directly at Laura. Bubba had precious little reaction time, between dropping the hammer and moving the table, though. He was likely too late to be able to fire.

While Bubba was distracted, she grabbed his heavy sledge hammer. As he pulled out his gun, Laura's eyes widened slightly and she ran behind a thick, metal rod recliner, barely making it. She gave a small sigh of relief as Bubba fired shots that were blocked by the chair.

Bubba hadn't fired.
He glanced down. Blood soaked his abdomen. Behind him, no doubt, were policemen. With a grin in Laura's direction, Bubba crumpled down, on his knees. In one smooth motion, without looking, Bubba whipped the pistol around his body, blind-firing. Another shot was fired--this time, hitting him in the back, near the right shoulder. Bubba stood up then, turned, and noted with satisfaction that two officers were dead. (He had blind-fired until the clip was empty.)
More officers would be responding--doubly soon, now. Bubba dropped the spent clip, and replaced it with a new one, stepping toward Laura all the while. Save for the gun, which was in the process of being loaded, he was unarmed.

The car carrying Rose and Anthony was headed back home. The agents would order out. It was safer than visiting a place to eat.
Tony smiled at Sami. "Oh yeah. Well I've been good. I don't know what Danave was doing after I crashed at the hotel, but up until then we were good boys" he said. He also faked a pout of innocence at Sami just for fun.

Laura heard as the clip hit the ground and recognized the sound. Laura jumped out while he was loading to throw him off again, faking to kick him in the head.

Bubba jumped back, reflexively, although he only landed a step backward--having hardly moved. A hand had raised up to catch the nonexistent kick.

"Isn't there something beautiful about the way blood runs down pure white skin?" ((The idea that Laura is a powerhouse is absurdly funny, in my personal opinion.
I agree with Fatal's idea of clicheness. Characters like that simply shouldn't exist.
And no fatal, it's not you. Most of the fighting has come from me and is my fault, because I'm just that awesome and no one else has the courage to admit it. biggrin heart
