Hayate nodded "Oh yeah, just don't give him a bouncy ball or he'll cry for hours about not being able to catch or pass it back properly. Though I'm sure some nu mou would mind where their money is going. Considering how much they hate anything to do with water I can't imagine a fish cemetary being a nice thought on any of their minds" he chuckled recalling one group of nu nou travellers making their journey 2 days longer just for the sake of finding a brige crossing.
Felina paused uncertain as she picked up on the sound of frying coming from the direction of Hayate's kitchen "Maybe so but if the egg hatched on the way to give it to her I bet nobody could say no to the face of a cute little chicobo and the idea of keeping it at home with you as a pet. Though can't see him getting a chicobo, more like a rat or an owl as a pet"

Oassu chuckled thinking it would sound cute watching Tuilinn chase a bouncy ball listening to Tuilinn emit high pitched kwehs "You musta been really happy getting this little one safe after the battle specially since it's so fragile" he said "Though why do you think an owl or a rat would be a good pet?" he asked.
Zadina frowned not wanting to mess up the airship map as he reached out with one hand to cast a quick drying spell on Merric before picking up the cheese "Err thank you little Merric" he said holding onto the cheese as he gripped the steering wheel again "You see you are here Merric and we are flying over here" he said pointing to the mechanical dots on the map one of which was moving to the other "Hmm you reckon some chocobos understand geography to an extent....like the golden ones that can just fly everywhere?" he asked.

Amane laughed seeing Merric place himself down somewhere on the map very near to Tricasia "Don't think he likes that part of the world much" she joked watching him start to clean his feathers. Though I would think that chocobos would need to be trained to get a sense of where everything is in the world as nobody is born with a good sense of geography, we learn it in school" she suggested.

Felina shrugged "Well you see he's a lad for starters and lots of elven boys his age keep small rodents as pets as they are easy to smuggle about into school and home away from parents and all that. As for owls, those are really popular pets amongst mages because of their intelligence and grace" she explained.
Hayate smirked thinking there was no chance Zadina would want a rat for a pet "You never know, Zadina's not exactly like the average kid. Though I was pleasently surprised that the egg and all the other birds got evacuated safely though may the gods help any soldier that tried to hurt the egg when Adohand was carrying it about"

Oassu nodded "Well I guess but maybe Zadina's just not interested in pets right now" he said finishing his drink "Still yeah its nice seeing your little Chicobo got out ok" he said watching Cid's head follow Tuilinn pushing the ball around the chair "Cid's doing really well with him" he said petting the bunny.
Zadina sighed giving up seeing Merric wasn't at all interested "Well maybe Chocobos in the wild learn it as they travel" he suggested "Geography isn't really taught properly to elves as often it changes over our life span" he said petting Merric gently "Well I hope he doesn't mind where we're going too much, should be fun" he said.

Amane nodded resisting the urge to help Merric with cleaning the tail feathers "He probably just doesn't understant the pretty picture is a map, he's only little afterall" she guessed petting his beak "Even if the land changes over your life span some things must stay the same. Like trees live for centuries and mountains have been there since the beginning of time along with oceans and volcanoes and rivers. And the continents all look the same right?"

Felina smiled and nodded her head "Well of course Cid would be great with little people or anyone really not attacking him. I think its because I taught him well or I'm just that good a role model unlike his dad who is teaching him to be more ninja sneaky like" she teased giving both the animals a pet.
Hayate paused checking at the clock "You two are pretty good with him too, he's not usually a fan of strangers and so... fancy a go at feeding? The bottles in the bag beside the chair" he offered pointing to the little blue bag. "Though you never know, Zadina might surprise us all and convince Alpha to get hin a pet for the dragon festival now he's not being supervised by family"

Oassu frowned "Hey I'm not that bad, not teaching him anything bad" he said looking over at the bag "Though sure I'll gladly take a shot feeding Tuilinn, not everyone can claim they've bottlefed a chicobo." he said happily
Zadina giggled "Don't know why he's still cleaning he just had a bath" he said "Though sure mountains stay the same but elves at their oldest can live for like 3000 years I think" he said "So there's plenty of things we're familiar with" he said.

Amane laughed "well maybe chocobos are like viera, we like to look good and getting wet isnt enough to keep us looking food cause we go all puffy and funny looking" she guessed giving her ear a good rub. "what I mean is that theres totally no point in missing out on geography study cause even when stuff happens the overall way of the land stays the same"

Felina squeaked head already in the bag reaching for the bottle "Got it, are you wanting the first turn?" she asked Oassu secretly hoping that he would allow her to go first "I think we're probably the only ones in the group that have never done it except for Mari and Gilgamesh despite it being a rare thing. Though I thought the milk would have been colder"
Hayate raised an eyebrow noticing just how tightly Felina was holding the bottle. Well babies are different to adults in any species and tend to prefer it warm since they need to be kept warm and don't like getting headaches after drinking ridiculous amounts of it. Anyway just hold the bottle at an angle not vertically and don't squeeze on it. Don't want the little guy choking after all" he instructed.

Oassu looked from the bottle to the chicobo "Err it's ok you can have the first go" he said picking up Tuilinn and handing him gently to Felina "There you go dear be careful with him" he said.
Zadina giggled rubbing Amane's other ear "Well sure I guess chocobos can look puffy but he's a blue one so he'll be fine with water I should imagine" he said glancing at the map while Merric kwehhed up at them "Still you're probably right about geography do you know much about it?" he asked.

Amane sighed relieved to finally have her itchy ear scratched again "I think a bug bit me or something back home again cause my ear is really itchy today. And nope I don't know very much about geography and I'm not sure most of the people in my village do beyond where some of the other villages nearby. Not exactly an adventurous bunch of people but I am trying really hard to learn as much as I can all by myself and maybe impress mum and grandma. Now how about you? You must know alot about the way of the world now"

Felina paused concentrating on getting a safe yet comfortable grip on Tuilinn "I'll be very careful, when Cid was younger I had to be very careful with him. Our little bunny is growing up really fast now" she remarked waving the bottle in the pets face untul he eventually accepted the drink with a small kweh "Such a well behaved boy" she muttered moving closer to Oassu.
Hayate on the otherhand picked up Cid for a cuddle of his own "Cid is getting stronger too so one day may come up with some powerful spell better than what we've already seen" he chuckled tickling the rabbit's belly "I'll keep this guy entertained while you feed Tuilinn"

Oassu nodded watching Tuilinn suckle on the bottle "well isn't he adorable" he chuckled "Yeah though Cid is getting better on his own, he's certainly a strange kind of bunny no wonder the dwarves thought he was interesting, they must find all kinds of unusual creatures underground" he said.
Zadina frowned looking at Amane's ear "Well I'll take a look at it when I'm not driving might be able to heal it or at least make it not itch" he said seeing if he could spot anything quickly "Though I'm afraid I don't know all that much, for the first 180 or so years of my life I was growing up either in my house or the palace or at the magic academy, then I don't remember much till this last year or so" he said "I'm still only about 12 in human years after all" he said

Amane slowly nodded trying to work out how old zadina really was "Well thats still kinda odd that your memories arent there. Maybe something bad happened that made you want to forget or you took a bump on the head ot something cause everyone I know can remember their childhood more than that. In human years.... I think I'm 10 or might be 11. Can't remember which cause it was mum who did the maths" she added glancing over at Hebal singing to herself while she painted one of her gauntlets
