Cassandra Sandsmark Dante looked over at Danielle and smiled as he looked around the room." Wow.. they even have karaoke set up."It was a good thing to know in case the night seemed like it was going to tank. But could Cassie even sing using Dante's voice. Suddenly he got a bit of a headache and put his right hand over his head... some dark energy coming from his body and he grunted slightly. It lasted only about two minutes and then went away... he looked over at Dani smiling slightly." Sorry about that."Dante was trying not to show it but he was slightly concerned... after all Lucifer did warn him about mixing the magic from two different religions. Hopefully he wouldn't turn into the Easter bunny or something from this. He then noticed Chris walking up to him, holding out his hand..."Hi I'm Dante Morningstar... an old friend of Dani's"Dante shook Chris's hand...it wasn't a complete lie. "Uh Dante? You ok?" She patted his arm soothingly. He must have had a headache from all these lights. That happened to her when she was on stage. "I have aspirin in my purse... if you want." She said softly. He looked fine soon enough, and gave an unnecessary apology, so Dani didn't ask again. "It's okay. No big deal." She shrugged. As long as he was fine. Then at the table the introductions happened... It wasn't so bad. Chris shook Dante's hand and Dani gulped a little. "Oh Look! Linda's here... With... Kid Flash?" She looked a little confused. sweatdrop

Wally took a deep breath.
"Truth is...I'm nervous that this night's going to end badly. The dances here don't generally go well anyways, and this whole year..." Wally paused, trying to think of the right words. "It's been the worst, best, most amazing, awful, incredible and terrible year in my life. I've done things that most people can't even IMAGINE....not in their wildest dreams, or their worst nightmares."
Wally looked at Linda. Was she following this? Or was she just annoyed?
"I've sort of been dreading this night. Prom's such a big deal, you know? It's THE event of the school year. And I didn't even go around looking for a date. If Chris hadn't offered to find someone willing to go with me, I probably wouldn't have even showed up. I mean...it's Prom at Hero High. What if everything goes wrong? What if you..."
Wally took off his mask.
"What if you don't like me?"

Karen ducked under the table to hiss at Powell.
" I'm always nice!" And shoved another Moz Stick in his mouth to help him from laughing.
"What the hell is this!? MJ! Devil May Cry! Now Kid Flash! If this was supposed to be a costume party then they shouldn't have named it after me!"
She huffed crossing her hands aver her chest irritated.
"If that's the case I'm going to have to find a different dress."

Linda listened trying to understand what her date was saying... but all that went out the window when he took off his mask and revealed who he really was. Her eyes went wide in shock, then anger made it's way into every part of her veins. No, she wasn't angry that Wally was Kid Flash, but more at the fact that Wally acted as 'Wally the player' whereas Kid Flash was actually a kind and nice guy who would never play around with girls hearts. Which one was his real personality?
Linda felt hurt and betrayed... For the first time all year she was willing to actually put her heart on the line, but 'Wally West the player ' wouldn't care... he didn't care about anyone else but himself. Why was he one person one day and another person the next? What as Linda to him...? Some sort of game? No, Linda wouldn't go off crying... she wouldn't be a victim...
" Why...?... You JERK!!!!"
Linda ball up her hand in a fist aimed directly towards Wally's face. Of course, that was nothing considering the girl always did carry some sort of weapon on her. She looked over at Powell... he would pay for this embarrassment... Oh boy would he ever pay! Linda then turned around in a huff and walked out on prom night... She was hoping that it would be a fun night, that she could be with a nice guy and enjoy dancing with him... maybe even hang out with Lois and Clark a bit, but learning that Kid Flash was actually Wally West just spoiled it.
Linda was fuming as she was walking across campus, still in her prom dress... Despite Linda's best efforts not to cry, a single tear rolled down her cheek. She liked Kid Flash... at one point in time she even liked Wally West... but she wasn't going to date a player. Linda learned her lesson a long time ago... having feelings for someone only resulted in heartbreak... and heartbreak sucks out loud. This was all Powell's fault, Linda was happier when she didn't know the truth.

Theo Altman Teddy marked off the meatiest meat option for dinner, and followed Billy over to the appetizers. He glanced over his shoulder at Chris, pointing to the suit. He then sent him a questioning look, obviously wondering why he would ever own a suit that hideous and let his date wear it. Billy Kaplan *Billy was picking through the appetizers and chatting at his date.*
Chris is acting weird. A 'Thriller' to see me in it? That's not proper grammar. But, Teddy, you were totally right about Karen. Do you think she beat Cassie up to take her place?
*He placed some stuffed mushrooms next to the wonton tacos.*
First, slow dance, mister, we're on the dance floor. If that's okay with you.

Dante rolled his eyes towards Chris's comments... and to think he was actually dating this guy? Well at least it looked like Chris didn't recognize him, even if he was here with Karen Starr who had boobs so large that they even rivaled the gods themselves. He saw the whole Linda and Wally thing and looked at Danielle.
" Well that didn't go well... I wonder whose brilliant idea it was to hook those two up?"
He looked at the menu and marked off for the pasta option for dinner but wasn't really feeling the appetizers as he drank some water... He had a feeling that this dance would go badly... all dances at Hero High seemed to go badly.

Wally enjoyed the feeling of everyone staring and laughing at him for a good minute before glumly shrugging at Chris and Karen. This was pretty much his worst fear about the night come true.
"I should have known. I'm taking off, you guys. Thanks for at least trying, Chris."

*Chris's face turned red with anger. He pushed Wally into a chair and looked up at Karen.*
Do not let him leave. I will be back.
*Chris stalked by Dani and her date, Donnie and Linda, and everyone else. He armored up outside and took the air. It didn't take him long to find Linda. He streaked down and slammed into the dirt several feet in front of her.*
What the hell, Linda!? You promised a date!

Teddy was indiscriminately adding items to his plate, but not heaping them because he didn't want to look like a total slob. He had manners yo.
"Probably not. Cassie kind of seemed to be ...distancing herself from Chris, you know? Maybe she likes girls now. Sometimes people do that."
Right?
Teddy shrugged, turning his attention back to the food while Billy said something about grammar or whatever. Soon he was distracted though by the dramatic cries of Linda. What the heck was going on now? Frowning, he turned to look over his shoulder, then at Billy. "That suddenly escalated."

Linda looked at Powell...
"Yeah... and I told you it better NOT be with Wally West! This is all YOUR fault!"
Linda crossed her arms.
" Did you honestly think before you came along I couldn't get a date for prom?! I had plenty of guys ask me but I turned them down... I always turn them down.. Do you know why? Because getting close to someone, caring about them.... only means that eventually they'll hurt you. If I don't get close to anyone then I can't get hurt... I'm not going to let West hurt me, I won't fall for him... though lord knows I've been close before. Wally's a player, he only intends on hurting me. I won't be part of your guys' sick joke."
Linda turned around and continued to walk away from Chris... this time she took her handgun out of her purse and showed it to Chris... as a warning not to mess with her. Typically she would have her machine gun with her but she couldn't bring that thing to prom.

Lois frowned. Something went down here and she missed it. She was going to get to the bottom of it. She scanned the room to find the saddest looking person
"oh, Wally!"
she waved a gloved hand at him and then crossed the room to join him

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME WITH THIS!?
*Chris followed right after Linda.*
Quit waving it or shoot me, Linda. But do me a favor and PULL YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR RUMP! Not everything is about YOU! I promised you TWO things: that you would be going with Kid Flash and Wally West the Player would not appear. I delivered.
Do you think I cared if you could get a date? NO! I asked you to go with Wally FOR HIM. He couldn't get a date because of all that 'Player' BS and he knew it! Did you even ask him to explain about the Player thing? Where it came from? He got hurt by a girl badly. He thought he something her and she dumped him to run back her ex. The player persona was to protect his heart.
*Chris wasn't gonna explain the Cassie in detail. The needed information was there.*
Tonight, no one was playing with you. There was no sick joke. There was just a lonely guy with his heart on his sleeve asking you to spend time with him. Not date him or makeout with him or marry him. Just a nice night at the prom and hoping you'd like the real him. And what did you do? Made it all about you and crushed him without even talking to him. You know what? Wally West deserves better than that. He deserves better than you.
*Chris stopped short.*
Now shoot me if it's going to make you feel better. It's worth it for sticking up my friend.
