Kinomi looked around the class and then at the Chuunin. A second Chuunin was in the room aswell. As Kinomi found a seat, the other Chuunin walked over to Kinomi and told him to stand up. Kinomi did so and Haze, who'd just layn down, stood up and barked. The Chuunin toold Kinomi that the next training would be outside. Kinomi nodded and began walking towards the door.
The Chuunin led Kinomi to a feild about a hundred yards away from the Academy. "Ok, Kinomi. Today you'll be working on the substitution jutsu. get ready. I'll throw kunai at you and you'll have to substitute them with...A log." the Chuunin said. Kinomi nodded and began running around the feild. He would never allow the attack to be fast. Plus, if he was running, the instructer's accuracy would be worse.

The Chuunin took three kunai out of his pouch. He began to chase after Kinomi. Kinomi jumped into a tree and hid there. The Chuunin didn't seem to notice, but then found him. He threw one Kunai but Kinomi cought it. Kinomi threw it back. It was four inches away from the Chuunin before he used the same jutsu and turned into a log. The real Chuunin was a few yards behind the log.
"Cheeter!" Kinomi shouted. Kinomi jumped out of the tree and began running around again. He tried to focus some chakra. It was slowly building up. Kinomi spun around only to see a kunai coming right for him. He focused his chakra even more and tried the jutsu.

The kunai was right infront of Kinomi's neck. Suddenly, there was a poof of smoke. When the smoke cleared there was a log with a kunai sticking in it. Kinomi was behind the Chuunin.
"HI!" He said with a big grin on his face. The Chuunin nodded and shoved the last kunai in his pocket. "Very good. Unless you want to practice more, you can leave." he said calmly. Kinomi thought for a moment. Before he could respond, Hazre ran over to him and attacked him. He started licking his face. Kinomi laughed a bit, but pulled the dog off his face. "No...Lick after I graduate." he said with a chuckle. Kinomi eyed the log. It looked sturdy. He liked the new ability.

Kinomi looked up at the Chuunin. "Actually....Can you teach me how to walk on water?" he asked. For a while he'd longed to be able to walk on water. If he could master it, he'd be extremely happy. The Chuunin nodded. "Follow me." he said beginning to walk forward. Kinomi stood up and put Haze on his head. Haze yipped and looked around.
Kinomi followed the Chuunin to a lake in the middle of the woods somewhere near the Academy. A few squirrels ran by when they approached. Haze barked at them and Kinomi laughed a bit. The Chuunin wasn't paying much attention. He seemed to be drawing chakra. Kinomi waited to see what would happen.

The Chuunin took a step towards the water. Instantly, a small ring of water moved off his foot. He placed his other foot on the water and stood there. The Chuunin was actually standing on water. Kinomi was amazed.
"Woah! I wanna try!" he said in amazement. His dog, Haze, yipped and nudged Kinomi's leg. Kinomi ignored his dog and began focusing chakra on the soles of his feet. He felt the steady chakra flow. His dog stopped bothering him and took a few steps back to watch. The Chuunin took a few steps back in the water to give Kinomi some room. Kinomi took a deep breath and focused a bit more chakra.

"Come on, Kinomi. Just build up your chakra." the Chuunin said walking around on the water. Kinomi sighed and opened his eyes. He placed one foot on the water and his foot sank two inches in. The same happened when he put his next foot in. Almost instantly, Kinomi sank straight into the water.
"AAAAGH!! COLD!!!!" Kinomi shouted flailing his arms and trying to find the surface. The Chuunin laughed. "Did I forget to mention something? Ah..Yes. Water is not steady. You need to keep putting out some more chakra every so often. That way you will be able to keep up with the flow of the water." the Chuunin said. Kinomi hissed.

Kinomi got out of the water and pulled his jacket off. He also took his shoes and net-top off. "Ok....I'll try again." he said calmly. Kinomi walked towards the water and began building up chakra. The Chunin stopped laughing and actually sat down on the water. Haze yipped and Kinomi felt like his chakra messed up. He hushed the dog and focused again.
Kinomi put a decent amount of chakra in his feet and kept it going. Haze stopped yipping and went over to drink the water. Kinomi began walking towards the water. Slowly, he placed one foot on the water.

Kinomi immedietly felt the cold water on his foot. He kept his focus on his feet and kept the chakra flowing. He placed his other foot on the water and only sank in a few centimeters. The water was still very cold, but Kinomi was braving it. He took a few stepps forward.
"LOOK! I GOT IT!" Kinomi shouted. Immedietly after that, he lost control and fel right back into the water. The Chuunin began laughing more, and Haze was splashed with water. Kinomi quickly darted to the edge and pulled himself back onto the grass. "Put forth more chakra. You had enough to last you a few minutes but you wouldn't be able to move during those few minutes. Try again." the Chuunin said. Kinomi groaned.

Haze ran over to Kinomi and began licking the water off his feet. Kinomi shoed Haze away and stood up. He shook the water out of his brown hair and it almost covered his eyes when he was done. (About the length and style as Riku's from KH) He began to focus more. The chakra seemed to come much easier to him. He knew he had been using a lot over the past few days. After a good meal and some rest, it'd come back, though.
Kinomi looked up and placed one foot on the cold water. Followed by the next foot. He didn't sink in at all. Kinomi took three steps and expected to fall. He didn't. Kinomi jumped and landed on the water. He still didn't sink. "WOOOOO!!!! I GOT IT!!! YEAH!!" Kinomi shouted. The Chuunin laughed a bit and congradulated Kinomi. Haze yipped a few times too.

Kinomi jumped out of the water and shook all the water from his body. Haze did the same becasue Kinomi splashed him. "Ok, sensei. Can you teach me to run up trees?" he asked putting his shoes back on. He left his net and jacket off, though. The Chuunin nodded and jumped out of the water. He looked around the forest and then at Kinomi, "Lets go find a good tree. Grab your things." the Chuunin said. Kinomi ran over and grabbed his net and jacket. He put the net shirt on, but tied the jacket around his waist. "Lets go!" Kionmi shouted running forward. He stopped hwen he realized he had no idea where to go.

The Chuunin began running infront of Kinomi. Kinomi blinked, grabbed Haze, and began dashing after the Chuunin. He sped through the trees and bushes until he almost rammed into a tree. He chuckled and began chasing his sensei again. The sensei taunted Kinomi and it only made Kinomi run faster. He hissed and sped up more. "I'll get you!" he shouted.
Finally, Kinomi and the Chuunin approached a large tree in the center of the forest. It was a huge tree. Easily fifty feet tall. Kinomi gazed up at it."This should be easier, because you already did the water one." the Chuunin said.

Kinomi began to gather chakra. He made sure he had the chakra moving a bit. Just like he did when he walked on water. Haze yipped and jumped at the tree. The Chuunin sat on a rock and watched Kinomi.
Kinomi opened his eyes and began dashing at full speed twards the tree. He ran up with two steps and fell back. "OW! What did I do wrong?" Kinomi grumbled. The Chuunin laughed and almost fell back, "You don't need to keep flowing different amounts of chakra. Thats only on water. Pick a precise amount of chakra and keep it steady." he said calmly. Kinomi took a deep breath and stood back up.

The Chuunin stood up and began walking towards the tree. He placed one foot on it and began walking up it. He walked up a branch and stood up-sidown on it. "Try it..Its fun as hell!" the Chuunin shouted. He waved at Kinomi.
Kinomi nodded and focused a nice amount of chakra to his feet. He felt it flow down there and began walking towards the tree. The burst into a run and kept running. He went ten feet up the fifty foot tree and before falling back on a branch. He clenched his teeth in the pain of hitting a branch. When Kinomi thudded against the ground, he grumbled. The Chuunin laughed and Haze licked Kinomi's face.

Haze barked at the Chuunin as Kinomi stood up. He spat loose leaves out of his mouth and cursed under his breath. Kinomi looked at the tree and saw a deep feetmark that had been made in it. He saw that he'd used too much chakra. Kinomi coughed a few times and made the proper handsign.
Kinomi began building chakra in his feet. The surge of it was far to strong, so Kinomi let quit a bit go back around. He felt like he had a good amount of chakra in his feet. He looked up at the Chuunin and took a deep breath. Kinomi began running towards the tree. He placed one foot on the tree and stuck...

Kinomi placed his other foot on the tree and began dashign at full speed up the tree. After every step, he felt better and better. After this jutsu, he didn't want to do any others, because he was a below half the chakra he'd started with. Kinomi was exactly four feet away from the top of the tree. He kept running. Kinomi jumped into the air over the tree. After getting a good glimpse of everything, Kinomi landed on the top branch.
"HOW'S THAT!" he shouted jumping down branch to branch. The Chuunin didn't answer before Kinomi touched the ground, "Very good. That is all I'm going to teach you for today. Feel free to work a bit more." the Chuunin said. He jumped off the tree and led Kinomi out of the forest.
