He saw something in the corner of his eye, and his head snapped in the direction of the hedges, but didn't see anything. He stared for a second, then shrugged and continued walking, wondering what the think he just saw was. He kept his eye on the bushes, hoping to see something.

Nearly sobbing in frustration that the boy looked right at her and didn't see her, Elisabeth let out a strangled little cry as she tried desperately to be more visible. Succeeding just barely, she stepped around the bush and hoped he'd see her.

Ad was startled at the cry, and stared at the bushes even longer. He saw something; but it wasn't solid. It was see through it. He saw everything about it, just transperant. He walked over and stared in amazment, and childlishly tried poking what he saw.

Blinking at the poke, she poked back lightly. "I'll be very dissapointed if you didn't feel anything when you poked at me," she whispered shyly.

Ad was startled and kinda jerked backwards. He stared at her wide-eyed. It was as if he was seeing a ghost! [ xd ]
"Err.." He poked her again. "Sorry..didn't feel anything.."
He was still staring at her. He had never seen a ghost before...Who had?

Pouting, she rested her arms over her chest. "I could have sworn I did it that time..." Sighing wistfully, she smiled shyly, "I'm Elisabeth." Holding out a hand, she frowned at it before returning it to it's original spot on her arm. Hand shakes were futile now, she had to remember that.

He kinda chuckled. "Sorry..?" He stuck his hand out, too, but as she brought her hand back in, he also remembered. "I'm Adao. You can call me Ad though."

She smiled warmly, "It's nice to meet you, Adao." Running her hands over her arms as if cold, she looked up at the sky. "What brings you to the gardens?"

"Nice to meet you as well." He nodded.
Ad really didn't know why he was at the gardens. "I dunno. I just didn't wanna go home. What about you?" He smiled. "Are you cold?"

Startled, Elisabeth looked at her hands and laughed softly. "No, I'm not cold... I think it's just a habit I didn't kick when I died." Looking down at the ground shyly, she blushed as best a ghost could, "I just wanted to be away from the dreary graveyard for a little while." Thinking about it, and shuffling about a little, she looked up into Ad's eyes, "Why don't you want to go home?"

"You're dead?" It didn't really dawn on him that ghosts happened to be dead people. "I don't know. I just kinda wanna be out, I guess. I love nature, and hate being stuffed up in a house."

Giggling lightly, Elisabeth nodded, "Yes, I'm dead." Thinking about it, she remembered when she once hadn't realised what ghosts really were. "I used to be that way," she said quietly, "Come to think of it, I still am." Looking down the trail, she spotted some late blooming flowers and grinned, "Would you like to walk with me?"

"How'd you die?" He blurted it out. Ad had no idea why, but he was curious. Ad also looked down the trail and nodded. "Yea, sure!" He started forward, going slowly.

Elisabeth smiled genuinely at Ad, his curiosity was nice. "For now, I'll just say it was a broken heart." Clasping her hands in front of her, she floated to keep beside him as they made their way down the trail. "It was a long time ago."
((Sorry, I'm gonna cut out for now. I'll be back on tomorrow, but for now I'm going to let my fiance have the computer.))

Ad frowned. This wasn't exactly what he was thinking, but whatever. "Oh, I'd hate to die. What's it like?" He smiled and chuckled at his childish sounding questions. Ad stopped by where the flowers were and bent over to smell one.
