Excuse me.. but does anyone know how many elven nations there are? *is counting* High, dark, drow, jehkai, wood, plains, aquatic, would each have at least one... if not more... moon elves, sun elves... help?

The main divisions ^^

Here's the full list of divisions/names:

Avari
Calaquendi
Dark Elves (Avari, Nandor and Sindar, mostly)
Deep Elves (Another name for the Noldor)
Edhil (Sindarin name for all of the Eldar)
Eldalie (Quenya form of Eldar)
Eldar
Elves of the Light (The Calaquendi)
Elves of the Twilight (A name for the Sindar)
Fair Elves (A name for the Vanyar)
Falmari (The Teleri of Aman)
Golodhrim (Sindarin name for Deep-Elves)
Golug (Orkish name for the Noldor)
Grey-elves (Sindar)
High Elves (Elves of Valinor: Vanyar, Noldor and some Teleri)
Light-elves (Vanyar)
Moriquendi (A name for Dark Elves)
Nandor
Noldor
Sea-elves (Teleri of Aman)
Silvan Elves
Sindar
Teleri
Third Clan (A name for the Teleri)
Umanyar (Elves whom have never been to Aman)
Unwilling (A name for the Avari)
Vanyar

The Drow also known as Dark Elves are also known as Night Elves

The Drow also known as Dark Elves are also known as Night Elves

There is no mention of 'Drow' in Tolkien's work either. The only other name for Dark Elves is Moriquendi.
