I play the Black Templars I have a full compliment of units; armoured, fast attack and troops as well as a champion (required) Termie chaplain and Marshal. 3 assault squads 3 tactical squads 2 devastator squads and 3 dreadnaughts one with twin lascannon the others melee (one having a flamer). I also have a bike squad 2 predators and a land raider crusader land speeders (one tornado) two whirlwinds a rhino and a vindicator. That and my 3 teminator squads ( 1 assault) make a pretty versital group that I can play as a whole or in small selected units. They had a basic colour scheme but now that I have all the units I want for now I am moving up to a much better paint job. That and I finally got shoulder pads for all of them to make 'em more pro looking (though not nearly as good just better than now). I just did up my assault squad and I'll upload a pic or two this weekend when I am done. Oh and about 1/3 of my army is neophytes. Once I finish the work and paint on them (will take several months cause of work) I can take up my next army. Some Dark Eldar twisted .

I've never understood how space wolves have a "13th company" - Space marine chapters are 1,000 men. They each have companies within them of 100 men. Thus, there can only be TEN companies... sweatdrop

Mat they where sent out preheresy and did not emerge from the warp for like a thousand years and yet they have no surviving techmarines who know how to repair or recreate the old tech, none of the old tech, and even have access to MK8 armor. sweatdrop They really should make pre-heresy armies match their fluff with models.

Cagalli Yura Attha I've never understood how space wolves have a "13th company" - Space marine chapters are 1,000 men. They each have companies within them of 100 men. Thus, there can only be TEN companies... sweatdrop Space Wolves don't follow the Codex astartes. They have 12 "Great companies" each of wich is fully self susstained.Read Space Wolf to get a good look how they set up. Alot of the original legions don't follow the Codex,Blood angels and Dark angels are good examples. Also there are more Black Templars than anyother chapter. They number about 3000-4000.This is because they are all over the imperium and can't monitor each others inducting rates.

Ok class let us begin. Before the Heresy the 13th co. was Russ's soloution to the wulfen effect as they needed all the numbers they could muster.when the Wolves were sent to destroy the Thousand Sons the 13th co led the assult. When Russ struck down Magnus the remaining Thousand sons fled through a strange portal(belived to be part of the webway.)Russ sent the 13th to track and kill them. They never returned untill over 10,000 years later during thee 13th black crusade.
They are still loyal to the Emporer and Russ. They only use chaos armour because thats whats available. They have no tanks because all the tech's and drivers have either dided or sucumed to the curse of the wulfen.
After they dissappeared Russ didn't refound the 13th co as a sign of respect.

Curious, does anyone play Space Wolves now currently in 4th edition successfully?
My old wolves were kings in 3rd edition but with the slow down of rhino power I'm edgy on what to do with them. I tested out a drop pod concept.. it worked that one time but I really wonder if any one has come to the same trouble as I.
Some of you no doubt wonder why it is only know I ask, well I play between 4 armies and since my Tau and Speed Freakz took the least amount of change to 4th edition they quickly became my favoured armies to play especially because my Eldar Swordwind is just too fragile now and I mean compared to before [that's bad] to function all to well despite the strong support I have and my wolves I just can't seem to feild enough to feel I can stand a fight.
So please, any one willing to offer this stressed out Wolf Lord a few tips, I'd be more than happy to get a pm from you about it.
Thanks for your time.

In the easiest terms regarding the 13th company:
Near the end of the Horus Heresy; the 13th company was ordered to follow the traitor legions into the Eye Terror and eliminate them. They were believe to be lost to the warp entities for the past 10,000 years. Only to re-emerge during Abbadons 13th Black Crusade, change, and having the entirety of hte company have skills equal to that of Wolf Guard. They have salvaged weapons from Chaos marines, and many have fallan to the Curse of the Wulfen. Despite being tainted by Chaos they are still fiercely loyal tot he Imperium and still follow the order given them 10,000 years ago.
I hope that is simple enough. Reminder this is what I have read and heard.

This all happened on the homeworld of the 1K Sons, Prospero if not mistaken.
