Caleidah Jinalee Shining Spears, huh? Are they good? Oh, and by the way, Jason, <3 your signature!
They're all packing Str6 Lances, as I recall it. And they have S6 Power Weapons in CC when they charge. Also, they pick up the spiffehness that is a 3+ save.D: That's... Alot. They can pwn another Eldar or Guardsman if they pass AS. I think. Wait, S6 vs T3, no AS allowed, PWNED. I think...

I just went through the GW site looking at what I'd need to buy to have a pool of models from which I can make my favored lists from 500 to 2500 points, and it'd cost some $700.
That includes:
30 Dire Avengers
30 Striking Scorpions
10 Fire Dragons
Autarch on Jetbike
3 Jetbikes (I already have several)
3 Shrieker Jetbikes (w/shuriken cannon)
8 Warwalkers (got one for Christmas)
Thankfully, I have a paycheck, but regretfully, I don't have the -time- to work on all these, so I'm not sure when I'll get around to putting together this pile.

Word is they're saving the model to release a combined kit for the Dark Eldar release.

The closest I have to actual news is from a recent GW podcast - I think Jes Goodwin said something to the effect of the DE plastcs range being about halfway done.

That jetbike prototype does look good though, has a better sense of speed and sleekness, something that the current jetbike lacks. Seeing as Jes is behind this one, the kit could easily be sold for both eldar and dark eldar, with a separate sprue for each army with its own rider, weapon and random bits such as spiked hooks and small banners.

Parts of it I can see coinciding, but the Dark Eldar always had more chitinous hull patterns, so I at least predict the front portion to have a separate piece, though the seat/engine may be similar or the same.

You've got a definite point, DE. Eldar jetbikes are all pretty sleek looking, whereas Dark Eldar jetbikes are more jagged and pointy. This is likely for the sake that the Dark Eldar use their vehicles as weapons very actively.

As I said before, Jes is the master and he could easily make two separate sprues for the new jetbike, one with eldar and one with dark eldar parts on it. We're talking about the man who is the father of the current generation of multi-functional marine plastics. wink
