Shar held the woman's gaze, unflinching and steady. The genuine apology that she gave helped her ruffled feathers just a bit and she conceded the argument was done with before it even started, glad at least that she had gotten a 'sorry'. Although Shar knew the names and faces of the higher ups, she understood that she was one of hundreds of Candidates and for now as just another face in the crowd.
The sudden urgent tone to Nim's voice made Shar pause, her eyes glancing out to the sands. She still couldn't see what was going on but clearly something had made her want to get Riz back out there. She turned and pulled the spare robes across the sand before pushing them towards the pair. She sure as wherry s**t wasn't going to sit around here if Rizdax was going back to the sands.
"Up and at 'em, Riz," she urged, pushing herself up with a grimace. Her leg hurt but not as badly as it once did thanks to the numbweed. She did get a few disapproving glares from the healers but she paid them no mind - the bleeding had stopped and her wounds were properly bandaged so they wouldn't get infected. She'd be there to support him back out to the sands, unsure if Nim could advance with them as she wasn't a Candidate. She held out her hand, a determined look on her face.

Tarnaria
When the second gold Impressed, Tarnaria smiled. Well, that just made her socialising with the male candidates all the easier, now she didn't have to worry about corraling in with JUST the girls. Greens and blues didn't care about one's born or identified gender, after all! She looked up at Halvor, noticing just a hint of sadness as the smaller bronze twin Impressed. She didn't address it, though. "Not too long, only about two Turns. I was attending a festival with my family in Tillek, showing off my bread dragons, when a Rider picked me up." She suddenly wondered if she still smelled like bread right now. As subtly as she could, she tugged on her robes to sniff.

Nashwa - NPC Candidate Nashwa nodded quiet approval with each match that was made: greens, blues, bronzes, and finally the gold (there had never been a thought in her head that she might be anything like the little Queen would want, not a mere servant like her!). Good, good...all was well, and hopefully there would be no more antics for the remainder of the Hatching. There had been some poor choices made by her fellow candidates, but hopefully they had all learned their lessons. She couldn't say she had faith in that, but she could hope, for everyone's sakes, that all the misbehaving and innapropriate thoughts were behind them.
As Fianth and Krahsujunth each worked to help an egg hatch, she watched with interest and a touch of concern. The one in Fianth's grasp had had a rough time of it, to say the least. Would it be alright?

Finnisa For just a moment as the gold wandered towards her, Finnisa felt a flicker of raw, vindictive, jealous pleasure. Let her sister have a green, she could, would impress too. Of course, a beat later she realized what she was feeling, and horror crept in on its heels. How could she ever...The little gold's kindness was sweet. But she didn't deserve to be a candidate. At least, that was certainly how she felt.
Theo He watched in awe as the twin bronzes impressed almost back to back—clearly they'd not wanted to be parted long!—and another blue, the green, and the gold. Wondrous, wondrous sights. That the green had chosen from the stands (and so had one or two others before!) was of interest to him...but he let those strands of thought slip past without pausing to grasp at them. He'd been to plenty of hatchings after all. If it happened to them, it could have happened to him. But it hadn't, and he'd spent his tears on that fact long ago. Now he would simply be happy for them all. And dream. Just a little dream never hurt, right?
