Dark scratches the back of his head.
"Better offer. I get benefits and great pay here. Archie works me hard but he's easier to tolerate than Maxie."
He takes a mouthful of coffee.
"Archie has a better chance of achieving his goals than Maxie does, as well."

Allen snorted at the pay comment, great reasoning. It's actually what drew Allen in all the way from Kalos. Everywhere he turned there was only crap for pay. Of course, it didn't help that he had a bad record. He shook his head from the memories and tuned back into the conversation. "Well, I mean, from what I heard up on Mt. Chimney, anything would be more achievable than Maxie's plan." He shrugged and took another swig from the now nearly empty bottle.

Allen's eyebrows knitted together. Similar goal? What finding a legendary Pokemon, that seemed a bit farfetched. Especially since Team Magma was looking inland rather than under the sea. Considering Team Aqua only had one submarine high tech enough. Maybe the scientists were working on replicating the submarine? He chuckled and shook from it, standing to toss the empty soda bottle in a bin. "At least the pay is good." He checked the time, "Welp, I've got to go. You know, beat up the little kids for their lunch money and such." He thumbed toward the exit, "See ya, guys." And with that he headed out.

Cody tuned into what Dark had said about having the same goals as Magma. "I don't exactly remember the conversation, but I heard something about that back at Mt. Chimney. Kinda threw me for a loop, but I guess I just kinda repressed it." He tried to think back to who had said it. Was it Archie who had mentioned it? "What exactly can you say about what's going on?

"I can say that at the end of the mission, if Maxie doesn't beat us to it, we're going to be very rich people." Dark's brow furls. "Even that might've been too much. Anyway you didn't hear it from me." He chuckles.

Poochyena, Corphish and Reaper were still out in the water splashing each other and having fun. After a while, Reaper and them started getting thirsty. "Poochyena, run inside and get some drinks for us." He said and with that Poochyena bolted into the headquarters and shook off the water as he got near Cody and Dark, covering them in water before he bolted off into the kitchen and grabbed a six pack of Soda Pop and dragged them outside, close to where Reaper was. Torchic finished his meal and was lucky enough to not have gotten drenched by Poochyena. He held the plate in it's beak and took it back into the kitchen and set it in the sink before sitting back down where Cody and Dark were at, still talking about something Torchic could not understand. Reaper and his two Pokemon got out of the water and quenched their thirst before going back to playing in the water.

"Heard what?" Cody replied with a laugh, pulling some papers out of his bag. "I still can't imagine that Archie's plan would be good for anybody if his plan is similar to Maxie's. Maybe that's just me." And with that, the boy lowered his head and focused on his work.

"When do Aqua Members like the fuzz?" Reaper said as he came back into headquarters along with Corphish and Poochyena, who were all drenched from head to toe. "Only time we like them is when they grab Magma." He chuckled.

"I wasn't around for that. What exactly happened? All I know is we now have a fancy new submarine." Reaper asked before sitting down on a towel next to his Corphish and Poochyena. Torchic also seemed interested in what happened and sat down by Poochyena.

Me: We went to the harbor, fought some sailors, fought the fuzz, and took care of some cops. though my personal method was to hide in a barrel.
