He knew Leo would catch on. Asher set his burrito down before daring to speak. "I noticed you seemed nervous when Gramps talked about Raki," he said and then he looked straight into Leo's eyes. "Is it because he's my biological brother?" If his brother's behavior as of late was anything to go by, Asher could only conclude that Leo thought he was going to forget about him. "You know me better than that..."

His heart skipped a beat, he knew he shouldn't have asked. Leo could feel Asher's eyes on him and lowered his head to the table, partially covered by his arms surrounding his chin and covering his mouth. Leo's cheeks grew a little pink, he never could hide from him. "I....I know......I do know you better than that...." Still, Raki was determined to take Ash away from him but could Leo really blame him? From the sound of it, growing up Raki only had Daniel. Leo had his whole family up until recently. "I'm sorry....I'm trying really hard to be happy that you're out of the hospital......I guess I'm just scared." Scared of not knowing what the future would hold for the two of them.

Asher could somewhat understand. It was a lot for Leo's age. Even in fiction, someone going through this might be just a bit older. "Well, you don't have to be. You got me, right?" he said, taking and squeezing Leo's hand. "Remember, we'll stick together no matter what. Even Raki can't do anything about it. Okay?"

It was strange how just words could change a person's feelings so quickly. When Raki talked about taking Asher away from him, Leo felt like it was the end of the world. But when Asher spoke of always staying by his side, Leo felt like his world was just beginning. His cheeks grew to a slightly darker shade of pink as he felt Asher's hand over his own and smiled. "Yeah you're right! I think my mind was just being silly." he said with a small sigh of relief.The Crazy Tomboy ((Thank you for the pretty dress! smile ))

"Devil Eggs! We should have some of those! I miss them, mom used to make them with mustard. You remember the one year she made them with Ranch dressing?" he said with a small smile. "They weren't half bad though!" Leo was starting to have fun planning Thanksgiving dinner but he didn't want to ask for too many things to eat, knowing that between Ash and the neighbors they only had a little money to make so much.

"Okay, deviled eggs. Maybe some ingredients for stuffing will be good, too," Asher made a mental list, and then he made a fake grimace. "I preferred the mustard eggs. The ranch dressing was... weird." There didn't seem much, but their feast as only for six, anyways. It would be enough for all of them. "What drink do you suppose we should have?"

Leo smiled. "You never were a fan of the Ranch ones." he said softly as he sat up straight in his chair. "What kind of drinks do people normally have for Thanksgiving?" he wondered out loud, usually during Christmas time there was eggnog. "Maybe soda would be okay?"

"Yeah, a soda can work," Asher said, finishing up his burrito. "Maybe we can plan with the neighbors and see what they want to include." If there were going to be six of them, they needed everyone's suggestion.

Leo smiled and continued to sip his slushy. "I told you it would be a great Thanksgiving." he said softly, though when he finished his drink he found himself a little tired from the long day. It was the afternoon anyways, a nap seemed appropriate right about now. "I don't know about you but I'm kind of tired. I think I might take a nap. It'll be nice to sleep in our own beds again."

Asher gulped his soda for a while before he spoke. "What? You don't want to sleep with me?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. He himself probably wouldn't fall asleep in a while, but he did remember Leo talk excitedly about them sleeping together again. Maybe he was referring to same room.

Leo gave a small smile and looked down at the floor rather bashfully. "I-I didn't say that..." he said quietly, though inside he was excited to be sleeping with his brother again. "If you're not tired though...you don't have to come up with me."

"I'll come up. It would be boring to be awake by myself," Asher said with a smile of his own. "Besides, knowing you, you would want a nice cuddling or two right now, wouldn't you?" With that, he ruffled his brother's hair as he usually did.

Leo pouted and straightened his hair once again. "You know me too well." he said softly, already making his way up the stairs to their bedrooms, straightening Asher's bed a little once he got to it since it was probably a little messy from when Sasha had slept in it.

Asher followed Leo upstairs and saw him straightening out his bed. "I'm guessing that's where Sasha slept when she spent the night," he observed as he set the remainder of the bed before laying on it. The straightening would prove to be futile.
