Whats the Serietie, and what the purpose of having different numbered squad thingies? Are there people from the anime/manga actually being played in this guild, or do we make our own characters? What do the people actually do? Fight monsters? Fight humans? Clean toilets? Although my username may sound like Ichigo, its completely by accident, and its actually named after a type of Tamagotchi, and misspelled.

Itchigotchi scott the true ice prince The Seireitei is basically the squadron place where all the squads are.. I think Ahahaha. So basically the point of the different numbered squads is because each squad has a different ability or are able to do different things like squad 12 is the research and development squad and the fourth squad is the medical healing and cleaning squad. I think it's Original Characters only. Yes there might be arc where they fight things and such and yes the fourth squadron will clean toilets and all. I know about the Tamagotchi thing, they're so cute though too. Hope this helps!

Well, fellow, I'm going to start from the beginning because I don't know how much you know, but Seireitei is a place where Shinigami (literally meaning Death Gods, however in the English dub of the anime they're called "Soul Reapers") reside. Shinigami are black-garbed beings who are most literally "balancers", as their purpose is to pass the souls of the dead on to the next life and also to defeat evil souls--known as hollows--and pass their souls on either to Hell or the same place other souls of the dead go (which happens to also be Seireitei).
Honestly, there is no real purpose to having number squads--initially, it stemmed from the common tradition in army units of having squadrons lead by Captains with Vice-Captains second-in-command and several seated officers. This helps both in Bleach and in real life so that duties can be divided up evenly and everyone given different missions, duties, etc. No one squad has any specific assigned duty, however many Captains over the years took it upon themselves to have assigned duties for the squads. In iiLittle Lamb's example, for instance, Squad 12 was not Research and Development until Urahara Kisuke wanted it to be, and that actually caused quite a bit of controversy among those in Soul Society. So yeah, mostly the squads are just for division of labor and organisation, though some do have duties they've taken upon themselves. I think the duties in the anime that we know are that fourth division is medical aid, eleventh division is combat corps, and twelfth division is R&D, though fans often assign "roles" to other squads based on traits that the Captain and Vice-Captain of the Squad share and duties they have been seen doing in the anime or manga, for example people often call division nine "Internal Affairs", as they were the ones who investigated the disappearing souls crisis in the Turn Back the Pendulum arc.
Character from the anime/manga are not being played in the guild--as mentioned in the guild story, the plot of the guild takes place about 200 years after a war in the plot of the anime, therefore all the humans in the series are dead and most of the characters from the anime/manga are dead/retired as well.
As for what we do, well, Shinigami fight hollows and Arrancar (Arrancar are hollows who have obtained Shinigami powers), Arrancar (the only playable type of hollow in the guild) fight Shinigami, Quincy (a race of humans who wield bows made of their Spiritual Energy) fight Shinigami AND Arrancar because they're kinda moody, and Fullbring don't really do anything. If you want to clean toilets, though, be my guest because I've never heard of anyone in an RP cleaning toilets before, so they must be pretty dirty and disgusting *makes mental note to avoid said toilets from now on*

Wow i learned allot from that thaks! blaugh twisted tomogochi is food right, oh and just read what the girls said, they know ALLOT!!!! and yes we fight all kinds of things even the toilets, in fact if u become a shinigami join my squad ill make u our squad's official toilet cleaner, trust me its a very ...... unique job wink 3nodding true so r u evil in this one or somewhere in the middle?

i have more questions though...
I heard something about magical transforming swords with souls of dead people inside them? Whats up with that? Are we dividing up the squads by duties? Is everyone a captain or vice? Can you get promoted? How?
Do quincys and arrancar have squads? Do they all live in the same city? Are humans involved? Do soul reapers have the ability to reproduce, or are all the families related souls from earth that all died and went to the Serieti together? Or are they all adopted? Or can shinigami only breed with other shinigami?
Do they sometimes accidentally kill the wrong thing? Can hollows be good?
