It'd been awhile since he had last been to the palace, though Conner had always stayed close by. He couldn't be sure if there would be a time where he would be needed, or if he simply had to be there. Since neither time had come in such a long time, Conner decided to pay a visit to the palace, hoping to catch up with Kora. Instead of just warping in, like last time, he decided to take the much longer way. The guards, who had remembered him from last time, allowed him entrance to the palace. After walking to the throne room, he saw that guards were posted, but Kora was nowhere to be found. After going back into the hallway, he bumped into one of the queen's handmaidens, who had been rushing around the palace. When he asked about Kora, she quickly told him that the queen had requested to be alone several hours ago in her room and hadn't came out since then.
For a moment, he thought that it would have been best to leave her alone. But he just couldn't. Instead, he hastened his steps and quickly made his way to the door of her room. Seeing that it was shut, he merely stood outside, trying to see if she was awake, perhaps moving about. After hearing a few noises, he tapped on the door lightly. Hoping to get her attention initially before speaking up. "Kora? It's Conner. I know you're in there... come on out. Let me take to you get some fresh air. Staying indoors on such a beautiful day is almost wasteful..."

Conner? That name ringed in her head. Why is he here? The last person she should see is him. He is after all partly caused all this. Just because she told him... Srin was angry on her. "Go away... please." She responded, almost forgetting adding the please. She knows she'll sound trouble if she doesn't act her usual way. The door is lock, so there's no way he can come in.

Once he heard a voice speak up, he looked up at the door. Though he was surprised that he hadn't been greeted in person... or greeted at all, what really made him think something was wrong was the fact that she wanted him to go away. On almost all occasions, she welcomed his presence. He had even thought that after their last conversation, it had cleared a lot of things. Yet... she wanted him to go away? Well, even if he wanted to stay and talk to her, he couldn't even get trhough the door without causing damage to it. "Kora... open the door, please. Something's wrong, right? Is it something I can take care of?" Something felt different, almost like she had meant what she said. Fo him to go away. It wasn't as if he wasn't used to cold voices, but when Kora spoke, it was the coldest voice he had ever heard.

Kora stayed there on her bed, unmoved. "I just... I just want to be left alone." Her voice now weak as she faintly responded. She grab a pillow and wrap her arms around it tours her chest. Needing something to hug.

Perhaps on any other occasion, he'd let her achieve the loneliness she wanted. But not this time. "You've been in your room for hours, I think that by now, you know that running from your problems won't get you anywhere." Maybe his brief pep talk wasn't doing the job. Either way, his voice became softer after realizing that no one else was around. "Kora... will you please let me in? I can't help you unless you let me... and I want to help you. Just open the door for me, and then you can lock us both away. Just let me be there for you this time." He had even moved back from the door, dropping all of his equipment, save for a sentimental firearm given to him by his father which he kept strapped on his hip.

Kora was silent, deep in thoughts. She just want to be left alone, that's all she wanted. She's willing to stay in her room for days if she must. Just till she feel a little better and must do some paper works.
As much she want's to push Conner away... her heart was not that deep in despair as she thought about him, the pass event with him. It's a good enough motivated thought to have her moved. Leaving the pillow behind, she approached the her door. Unlocking it, she slowly open it. Kora had her usall clothes before, everything neat with her gold cross resting on her chest. But what's really different is her eyes... they lost their warmth, their glow, their brightly colored joy to match with her smile. Her face was blank, stale, expressionless as her eyes is like an empty shell. Her happy personality is gone. "What do you want?" She said softly to the first thought came to her mind.

When he finally heard her shuffle around, his body stiffened. Conner was surprised to see that everything looked like it was fine. Just about everything... except for Kora. Her eyes had been reddened, as if she were crying. Conner honestly hadn't seen her like this since Silver's funeral. It was a time that he dared not interfere, which may have been a mistake on his part. Perhaps if he had been there for Kora last time, it would have lessened her pain. It was a mistake he would not allow to happen again. His placed his hand on the door and slowly pushed it open even further. "You were crying..." It wasn't a question. He knew it already. He slowly moved into the threshold, into the room and closing the distance between he and Kora. It only took a few seconds to do so, and he found himself staring directly into her cold eyes. He knew that expression. Kora shut off her emotions in an attempt to stop the pain; something that he did a long time ago.
There were very few people in this world that were pure hearted, and Kora was one of them. To see the Queen in a state of emotional shock was almost heart wrenching. "Stop that... that look. Once you try to avoid the pain, it just builds up until you just can't take it anymore. It all crashes down on you. I want you to tell me what happened."

Kora let Conner scan her, not fazed of him staring down on her. It sounded like he knew what she was going threw. But how could he? This is a very new experience she is having that felt like it can last forever. He doesn't know anything. ".... I had a fight with Srin." She turn away and slowly made her way to her bed. "He... over heard what I said to you.... I said a few things... he got angry, and it went down hill from there...." Sitting on her bed, she tried telling him. Kinda hard to get the details when she tilling it so bluntly. She grabbed her pillow and hugged it, the only way to express her expression through body.

When Conner heard that Srin was involved, almost instinctively, his hand reached for his semi automatic. The man should have stayed dead, but Kora felt the need to resurrect him for reasons that Conner could not fathom. Kora brought him back to life. What did she get in return? Disrespect and ungratefulness. The man remained in his position as he drew his firearm. "I don't care who he is. He could be your best friend or whatever. But he's crossed a line, and I don't intend on letting that go by without any consequences." He sighed, knowing full well that he'd probably get back into the same predicament as with Sutami. "This isn't a request, Kora. It's going to happen."

"Fighting him would not salve anything..." She faintly said, staring at her cabbnit. "What he said is true.... I don't know everyone. I can not dodge them. I don't know anything... I've been nice to everyone. People through themselves to me, I'm generous but I turn them down. I can not accept. I only hurt people.... I only hurt them to even like me in the first place..." Kora started to mumble to herself.

Conner gritted his teeth. Why was Kora giving up so easily? Because her feelings were hurt? The queen had been through much more than this before, and she recovered instantly. She'd been tormented by Fenrir for years, used by everyone, and hurt by everything. But she was still around, and passionate about helping everyone she met. "After everything you've been through, you're allowing the opinions of one person change how you see everything? You've known Srin for a few years. I've known you longer. I can honestly tell you that you are purer than anyone I know. Purer than any Paladin, God or whatever. You are you. You have nothing to regret. If someone is angry at you because you hurt their feelings, than that too bad for them. They just threw away the chances of being friends with a great person."

Kora raised her head, her gazed over to Conner. She was touched, looking at him it seam like his words was getting to her. Though her expression is still the same. "... Thank you... " She cold only said to him. "... I... need to talk to him. To make things right at least... I wonder were he could be now." She said out her thoughts, at least she still have that feeling, the feeling not leave things undone.

Conner was surprised that his talk had even done anything. He wasn't much of the 'comforting' type. This was probably his first attempt ever to try and cheer anyone up. Though the effect wasn't exactly what he wanted. His intentions were only to make Kora see that she didn't need to care about what others thought of her. But perhaps closure with Srin would help her. "I'm not much of a tracker. If he's left the city, then your guards should know about it. Perhaps we should start there... and yes. I'll be going with you this time. There's no telling what he might if given a second chance to harm you."

 Kumori The Shadow Magistrate ╔══════════════╗ Kumori climbed up the tree as much as he could to get to the palace area. He broke through the palace doors, getting the guards and vines alert to his presence as he stumbled through and landed on his left hand and knees. He was covered in a faint dark aura before it vanished as he stood up to meet the others. "Where is the master of this place?!" He questioned in anger as he glared at the guards and the vines. Kora didn't thought of asking Conner to join her. She wouldn't want to drag him along to this drama/trouble or what ever you can call this. As nice it is that he joining to only watch over for her, Kora thought back of the mentioning of Srin harming here. "... Srin would never harm me, he said so himself.... You should of seen it. He had the opportunity to release his anger on me, but he didn't..." He may not harm her physically but she did mentally. The only thing that soften his furry was burning the trees from the lake.
At the entrants, the guards indeed gotten Kumori's attention from braking in unannounced. Spears and swords at ready, they held it close to the mans kneeling down before them. "What business you have here? You have no right to barge in here" the guards said to him, ready to restrain him right away.
