Savage went on with why he'd asked her to show up. "So, you're trying to get information from the Penguin. You probably on't want to get busted again." A sly smile crept up on his face. "How is your back. by the way?"

There was a bit of a pause from Emlly. He wouldn't be able to tell it, but she was giving him a dirty look. "It was fine until you shoved me against the wall." she replied. Even the modified voice carrying a bit of a growl in the tone.

"My apologies," Vandal said, bowing slightly, ignoring the growl, "But I was sure that you wanted to actually get out of the room, and my frame made for the perfect screen. Anyways, I was wondering if you wanted some better tech for your purposes."

"Better tech? You mean the equipment you said you were going to leave for me to plant in Cobblepot's room? Or is that no longer the plan now that you're taking Natalia out of Cobblepot's employ?" she asked.

"Oh, good, you remembered," Vandal said, "I was worried you'd have forgotten in the beating. And I will need you more than ever, with Natalia out of here. All I ask, is that if I need something from his database, and I ask you, you deliver." He never lied to Cobblepot; all he had said to him was that he'd never go to the Calculator again.

"That's going to be slightly harder with her out of here." Emily replied. "Cobblepot isn't going to have anyone perched in his room or outside his room other than me for a while. No distractions other than whoever wants to meet with him outside his room. Getting in isn't nearly as hard as getting back out. As... I'm sure you're aware of now."

"I've stolen some of Oracle's technology," the immortal said, clearly expecting her to have at least heard of the Oracle; most people thought she was some kind of hacker myth, though, like the Bat was to small-time crooks still.

Emily, unfortunately, had only heard Penguin mention something called Oracle once or twice. "Oracle? Some tech organization I take it?" she replied.

"A tech organization of one," Savage said, deciding that this was not the best time to go into detail; another time. "Anyway, Oracle uses highly specialized technology, of his, or her, own design, just for computerized data collection. What makes it so effective, is that it doesn't require a physical connection, and you can remotely activate and target it onto the computer of your choice."
He stepped closer to where he has last seen the glassy figure (since she was no longer moving, her suit had caught up and perfected its invisibility), stopping just a few feet away. "Interested?"

"That would help out a great deal." Emily said, crossing her arms. The movement just discernible by the hazy clear ovals that moved and vanished. "But... don't nice big, smart tech people security-ize the hell out of their equipment?" She knew she did. Or... at least she had her tech guru safeguard and back up everything she had that was electronic. And the NSHU could track down stolen equipment the minute it was turned on. "I'm interested, but I don't want to have some one make a surprise appearance just because they found out where their stuff went to the minute it's turned on."

Vandal smiled; it was a much friendlier, more appealing smile than before. "An advantage of being as connected as I am, is knowing who to turn to for what. The only thing that traces back to Oracle is her digital signature. If Cobblepot discovers it, he'll assume its placement there was her doing, leaving her blameless. Its output signal relay has been completely retooled, now working on a different frequency, and a different amplitude. Oracle would have to learn both of those in order to track it."
The faint glimmer of Emily crossing her arms told him exactly where she was, so he turned and leaned against the wall just next to her. He turned his head towards her, and his smile got a little more sinister; not as obviously so as when he had her cornered inside the Lounge, and obviously not truly directed at her, but more for the benefit of her understanding as she said, "And as for the security system, well, twenty-four people were rendered vegetables as a result of making sure its defenses were exhausted. I think it's safe to assume that Oracle graduated from the Batman School of Insane Security Defenses." He'd managed to scan the Justice League security systems used to protect the families of the do-gooders, in the aftermath of Sue Dinby's murder. He'd discovered three things: that the Batman designed them, that he had incorporated Kryptonian, Thanagarnian, Martian, and Apokoliptian technology, and that despite these incredibly powerful and potentially fatal technologies, the truly scary stuff was what Batman himself had built.

For a moment, Emily was glad that she was wearing her helmet still. The main reason she was still wearing it was because she didn't want to risk being seen anywhere near the Lounge. She listened to Vandal as he explained the technology She mostly understood the explanation, but... she was afraid she still had a bit of a blank stare on her face. Chance was usually the one to do all the tech talk, and he had to dumb it down for her to understand.
Her head turned towards Vandal as he moved to stand against the wall beside her. Again, she was glad her helmet was on. She doubted her security would vegetable anyone if they broke in. It was more designed to prevent people from gaining or stealing information and technology at all costs. That meant destroying itself if anyone got too far into the building.
".... I suppose you wouldn't have me use it if you weren't positive that it wouldn't be found out."

"That would be a most accurate assumption," Savage said, "You'd be no good to anybody in a coma. You'd be the prettiest vegetable in the country, but you'd do nobody any good." Vandal then looked around, trying to spot any cameras. Remembering who he was speaking to, he asked, "Is there any video surveillance out here?"

"You've had your back to the main one for most of the time now." she replied. "One in the corner over there that watches the door. One to the outer corner there that watches the other half of the alley, and several on the roof. One directed to this alley, the roof of the building beside us, and... well, the alleys on the other sides of these buildings are pretty much the only blind spot close to the Lounge." she said, then gave a small gesture towards the building next to them. When she did any spying, as she had done earlier, it was usually with her Spyders and remotely controlling them from a few rooftops away.

"Noted," the immortal said, nodding thoughtfully. After a short pause, he said, "So, where should I have the equipment delivered to? I'm sure to draw quite a bit of heat from Cobblepot if I try to ask him."
