That makes Ephraim's scars look like nothing and it IS nothign LOL!!! Arashe can go around showing off the talons scars and be all
"HEY LOOK BICHES!! I GOT ATTACKED BY THE HAWK KING AND LIVED!!!"

It WOULD make him look more manly.
And scars are attractive to some ladies. It'd prove that he's STRONG and can handle himself in battle; at the least, prove that he can survive battle. XD

Wait, what's my what on a scarred bishie? xDd Ephraim's scars are war scars that he got during battle lol.
Scars depend in my opinion, if its something lame then its unattractive. But if its something liek war scars (Ephraim and Arashe in this case) or tryign to save someone or just doing something brave for someone you care then its considered good.
