Aura sighed and started where she remembered. "The home I grew up in was all business. My father was married to my mother for procreation purposes only and I was born solely for the purpose of running his temple. But my father hated me...he was told he would get a son and he ended up with a daughter. He also blamed me for the misfortune of my mother, after I was born she was unable to bear children any longer, and thus I prevented my father from having the son he wanted. If it wouldn't of looked bad for his reputation I'm sure he would of just had a son by another woman, but that's getting off track."

"So in order to try and correct my apparently foul existance my father focused on training me mercilessly since the day I could make complete sentences. And my father was a harsh man. If I did something right my reward was being hit and told to do it better the next time. If I did something wrong I was beathen nearly to death. So I grew up, knowing that in my parent's eys I was nothing to them, only another mouth to feed and someone to deal with their business. I became detached, feeding off my own anger. I took over the temple when I was tweleve. And I ran it as he had, learned to be just a cruel as he had been."

"When the kingdom collapsed my "family" was forced from the temple. They attempted to take care of themselves and told me I should do the same. Just another scrap of evidence that the thing called love didnt' exist in my little world. I turned into a thief and eventually worked my way from mere pickpocket to skilled tomb robber. And thus acquired the bracelet that keeps me here."
