Omny took the book from her hands and the pen. Omny wrote something in Russian. : Never' Neboysya ne prosie: Don't belive, Don't fear, Don't ask: This was something her grandmother tought her. It was a spell for happyness. If you don't belive in evil, if you dont fear the feauture, and if you dont ask, you will be happy. Omny smiled and translated the meaning of what she wrote in Russian and gave the book back to Tora " You didnt fail yet."

Tora sat up and proped herself on her arm. She read the translation and looked back at Omny. Her eyes darted back and fourth: from the book to Omny, from the book to Omny. Tora realized she had been clueless this whole time. But she tried asking an no one tells. So how could she know? Then she realized something else, it wasn't her fault because she did try and no one would tell her. She sighed. "I'm sorry. I don't know what came over me." Tora closed the book and held is close. "I'm clueless and have no right to help." She dried her tears and regained her composure, only this time she was a little less nieve. "There are things I'll never know about and I need to accept that." She put the book in the box and before sitting down, held up and crystal tiger and rubbed it. She placed it amung her other treasures. Simple.

" You have every right to help, but don't hurry and try to find the answear, it will come to you." Omny smiled and hugged Tora. " You helped me learn japanese, and you helped me.... well not drown." She giggled and pokes Tora to see her giggle.

Tora half giggles and half cries. "Oh what a day," she says with a heavy sigh. She laid across her futon and pulled a panda she made from under it. She held it close to her chest and burries her face in it. "If mother could see me now. Reduced to a wreck and cuddling a stuffed animal. GAH," she shouts, "Why'd I have to be born with my personality? I hate being scared of having someone mad at me! I walk around on egg shells trying not to step on someones toes... and look what it got me." She sighed and flung her wraped hand in the air.

Omny thought for a litle while and said " How about we say a catfight happened here and when you came inside your room the cats were fighting and ran out!'' SHe suggestead and kiked a window so it looked like it was broken though " See, you will get a new room!"

Tora blinked, wide-eyed. "Where-" she stoped- she was through asking questions. 'Where did you learn such things?' But she answered that for herself. "I guess I should start cleaning." Tora stood and began to remake her futon and gather the shattered mirror into a pile on the floor.

Omnys eyes widden " You cant do that!! Omny carfully put the shareds where they layed and she took a litle razor and cutted up Toras furon. " If you clean up it will be obvious you did it. Remember when mother comes she needs to think there was a cat fight now that you brought a guy h ome and he beat you up and kiked the window! Which reminds me" Omny quickly took Toras arm and put it over her shoulder " We need to get you ... and me looked by a doctor. Now lean your weight onto me" She said as she began to walk tora to her room " You should sleep in the maiko quarters today."

"Mother would kill me if she thought I had a guy over!" Tora thought, then and idea struck her. "He broke in, hit me a few times, I hit him with the mirror. You came in and helped me push him out of the window. I was scared and couldn't sleep alone. That explains the bed, the window, the mirror, and the cuts and bruises" she nodded, it sounded good. "Tall, chubby, black eyes, and long greasy hair. He has very bad teeth!"
