Apex moved over to Oracle and held the locket out; for a moment, he seemed very hesitant about parting with it, which would have been quite understandable. In the end, however, Apex gave her the locket.

Gar held Kesshou a little bit longer he smiled a little when he heard her start purring. He smiled showing his sharp teeth and then let go of her slowly.
"Kesshou, how bout we go around these guys and get something to eat."
Despite not getting much sleep that night Gar felt as though he didn't need the sleep. Kesshou made him feel better just by giving him that attention.
"And thanks Kess I feel a little better having you here at the base too."
Kurt stood and watched and when he heard the mention of food he perked up looking towards the wing covered couple. He thought to himself that they must totally be making out in there, seeing as he was a little bit less mature than Gar being younger than he was.
"Totally, you to can stop making out for a bit zho zhat we can get some food."
his tail wagged as he looked around the corner where they were talking in the kitchen.

[Enter THE BLUE LANTERN from LATVERIA]
A flash of light appeared outside the ruined mansion, and Elasa found herself back in front of the Xavier Institute; and then she remembered her promise to Kesshou that she would return, and smiled. Well, she had returned...
Elasa's levity was short-lived, however, as she could sense several people that had inner pain that she was driven to soothe-- one stood out from all the others at the moment, though, and Elasa, wanting to do her duty and make those feeling bad feel better, fast-walked into the base, her high-heeled boots clacking on the ground before she approached the cafeteria and blinked; her primary focus was on Oracle, as she had never seen someone in a wheelchair before, and therefore didn't know what such a thing was.

Oracle sighed taking a closer look at the locket, "As I said, I'll see what I can find out for you."
Songbird still had her arms crossed glaring at Apex, "Well, since you're here.... Do you want some breakfast, since it hasn't been destroyed by your appearance? Personally, I'd like to finish my waffles... So, grab a plate, if you'd like."

Apex said nothing to Songbird; he wasn't hungry, hunger could wait. Everything else could wait now, as far as he was concerned. He glanced around at Elasa, taking in her appearance and recognizing her from Latveria. Elasa likewise recognized Apex, though they had not spoken to each other.
Elasa cleared her throat. "Excuse me," she said in her soft voice. "I am Elasa Atu'me, Blue Lantern of Sector 0005. May I ask... why does your seat have wheels, ma'am?" she asked to Oracle, and she lifted herself up in the air a few inches, floating closer to Oracle and Apex to get a closer look at the wheelchair.

Still holding Apex's locket, Babs' eyebrows shot upward in surprise, "That would be because it's a wheelchair, and who might you be?" This place has a bigger revolving door than Arkham does.

Elasa blinked. "A... wheelchair? I do not understand; why put wheels on a chair?" she asked, but then she shook her head. "Forgive me. I am from a planet that is far more primitive than this one. But as I said, my name is Elasa Atu'me, Blue Lantern of Sector 0005." she said to Babs, giving a stiff bow in greeting.

Songbird tilted her head toward Penance whispering, "Do you have a clue what a 'Blue Lantern' is?"
Oracle nodded, a little surprised by Elasa's appearance, "A wheelchair is for those who can't walk. I suffered an injury to my spine from a bullet nicking my third lumbar."

Elasa blinked, and frowned. Her people had not identified and named many of the bones in the ven'ari skeletal structure (which was identical to humans' in nearly all respects), so she did not know what a "lumbar" was. However, she understood quite clearly that not being able to walk was not good.
"Would you like me to heal you?" she asked, as if it were a simple matter.

"I appreciate the sentiment, although I don't think it's quite that simple. I've been examined by some of the best doctors, and....," Babs voice trailed off for a moment, "This is my life now." There was a trace of depair in Oracle's voice.

Elasa frowned. "I can do it," she said resolutely. "If Saint Walker and Brother Warth could reverse the age of a dying star, I should be able to heal your legs. I cannot allow this despair you feel to persist."
Without another word, she lifted her ring and pointed it at Babs. Then a softly shining stream of blue light moved out of the ring itself, seeming to wrap itself like a cloth around Oracle's midsection and then both of her legs; the sensation would likely feel like gentle, cool water on her skin.
After a few long moments, the light subsided, and Elasa smiled.
"Stand, please," she said encouragingly, holding out a hand for Oracle to take.

Oracle found herself gripping her wheelchair as if for dear life, as all of the nerves came to life, "Eeeeeaaaaaahhhooooo..... Wow, it.... feels like my legs and rump have been ..... nevermind. I can feel them, but they feel asleep."
Songbird turned toward Nightshade, "Is this normal around here?"
Nightshade shook his head, "No, the circus clowns are on strike this week."
Melissa facepalmed and groaned.

Elasa continued to smile, her attention still on Oracle. "The odd feeling should pass soon," she said. "When you are ready, please try to stand. I shall wait."

All of a sudden, an odd look came over Babs face, and she began to furiously wheel herself to the nearest bathroom.
Songbird blinked, "Well... when you gotta go...."

Elasa frowned. Where was the woman going?
X23, however, followed Oracle to the bathroom and waited for her.
