Miranda squirmed in the bag, not thrilled as she was swung around in a small bag. The man shot at Merem again, this time aiming for his legs. He wanted to at least slow Merem down so he could get away.

Merem grit his teeth and spread one of his arms out away from him. It gave off a glow, "Come forth! Ray of Death!" He yelled.
Suddenly a large blue creature that looked like a cross between a sting ray and a butterfly emerged from behind him. It flew straight towards the man. Once it reached him it would explode.

The man yelled, trying to outrun the creature. He didnt know what it could do, but that didnt mean he wanted to find out. He swung the bag with Miranda at the creature, if it hit her, there wouldnt be too much of a loss. He hoped that Merem would hold off if he threatened the little dragon. The man pointed the gun at the sack, pressing it into Miranda and making her squirm as she was prodded. "Stay back"

"Back!" Merem commanded. The summoned creature flew upwards and landed on the ground before the man, exploding.

The man lowered the bag, using Miranda as a sheild and closing his eyes as the creature exploded. He opened his eyes, holding the gun against the bag. "I'll shoot!"

"No you wouldn't. You wouldn't have taken her if you were going to kill her," Merem said.

"Who said she would have to die from a gun shot? If I shoot her in a nonvital place it will hurt just as much." He said. "A wounded dragon is still likely to bring in alot of money."

"Dragon huh?" Merem said. So that's what Miranda is... "A young animal like her will probably die from any large wound. Give her over before you get hurt."
While he was talking, a small white rat managed to climb into the bag without the man's knowledge.

"She'll live, what will you do? Attack me and I'll shoot her, if she does die it will be on your head." The man gave Merem a look. "Do you take in every young creature without knowing what it is first?"
Miranda wiggled in the bag, wanting to get out before her attention was taken by the rat. She snapped at it, wanting the animal that had joined her in the bag.

Merem usually travels alone. He was only talking to him just to distract him so he could get his rat summon in the bag with Miranda, "Give her back and no one dies or gets hurt," He stated.
The rat kept its distance from the dragon. It held a clawed hand up as if trying to reassure her that it was a good creature.

The man laughed and started to back up, ready to leave. "If she dies young with who ever buys her I'll tell them to send you the body."
Miranda looked at the rat, wondering what it was doing. She watched it, ready to get it if the rat bit her.

The man shook his head, "Thats an over used line, I get away with alot of things."

"You never encountered me before," Merem said. His eyes turned crimson. If the man looked into Merem's eyes, he would be frozen in place.

The man continued to back away, determined to get away with his prize. Helooked at Merem, not wanting to be caught off guard before being frozen. He got nervous, wanting to know what Merem was doing.
