Elnara laughed. "The way you and I use sign language with Skye, or the way she speaks to us using it sometimes, is nothing compared to Gion. He uses sign language to communicate more quickly than some people think at times."

Which reminded her, she hadn't told anyone about her children yet, and she was certain that they would be eager to know about them ... but, she reminded herself, not in the middle of a conversation.

Gion just shrugged from where he was sitting next to his daughter, but he was grinning smugly.

Seeker giggled. "Galdor's just like Mama is," she told Lore and Elnara. "He doesn't talk very much and when he does he always talks slow."

"That's because he thinks about what he says before he says it," Nadya interrupted her daughter with a smile. "Something that I think you should also learn to do."

She put one hand on Seeker's head and looked at Lore and Elnara apologetically. "I'm sorry, but I should probably warn you, she has a tendancy to talk about things that haven't happened yet as if they're set in stone ... she probably called you by name before you introduced yourselves, as well."

She sighed softly. "She knows better, but she gets excited so quickly."

Suddenly the beginning made sense to him now. So she already knew about them, at least that's what he assumed. The uncle part didn't click in, but that was only fair.

"So that introduction makes much more sense now."

Gion frowned slightly and reached over and flicked the point of Seeker's ear.

"Ow!" she exclaimed, somewhat dramatically, turning to glare at her father. "What was that for?"

Gion just glared and folded his arms across his chest, and after a moment, Seeker stuck her tongue out at him.

"Come on, I told them who I was!" she pouted. "And I already knew who they were, so they didn't have to introduce themselves!"

Laer laughed, but Nadya just sighed.

Elnara giggled a bit, then put her hand to her mouth to stop.

"It must be interesting to live here," she commented amusedly.

Daemon couldn't help but chuckle even though he knew she shouldn't have done so. She was young though, she would learn in time.

Quite an imp....

Lore chewed the bottom of his lip trying not to laugh at this. It was so close, warm and just down right funny really. They were a normal father and daughter pair that was for certain.

Nadya looked at Elnara and Lore. "I'm afraid I have to take it upon myself to apologize for Lothiriel," she said apologetically. "She ... doesn't really understand the responsibility of her gift yet."

Hopefully she wouldn't have to learn the same way her mother had.

Seeker ran and grabbed a tray of snacks from her grandmother and brought them over to the table.

"Here," she said brightly, placing it in front of Lore and Elnara. "Fresh waybread, it's good! Nako makes the best waybread of anyone I know! Try some!"

Gion chuckled inwardly at Daemon. She's a handful at times, that much is for sure, he agreed. But she's a good girl, and she'll be just fine once she grows up a bit.

Elnara smiled reassuringly at Nadya. "She's a child, it's all right," she assured her friend. "My own are no different, trust me."

She smiled at Seeker and took one of the pieces of waybread, then took a small bite. It was indeed quite delicious, and brought back memories of growing up with having it for snacks quite often.

Lore chuckled at Elnara's comment, for the comment brought Storm and Starr to mind. More Storm than Starr really, but still, that is what it reminded him of.

"Thank you," he murmured as he took a piece and took a small bite.

It was very good, he never had anything like that before.

"Elnara is right," Lore murmured, "It is okay."

She will be.

Daemon agreed in turn.

Any ability is something that is still being explored. Both my girls explored their abilities... though... I do wish Long had not tried to convince Kara it was a good idea to learn fire magic.

Not that Kara had been reckless, she just wasn't very good at it and it was a dangerous magick.

I take it Kara's not so good with fire? Gion chuckled inwardly. It's always good to explore, though, and test your limits. After all, things happen unexpectedly, don't they? That's how you ended up in that sword after all.

Nadya brightened immediately. "You have to tell us all about your family," she said, taking a seat at the end of the table, next to Gion. "Last we heard, you had six children ... but that was a long time ago, I'm I'm sure I've seen more. Who are they all?"

Elnara took a drink and smiled. "Well ... there's Celebor, Serenity, Skye, Storm, Starr and Idhril," she began, "though since they're the oldest six, I'm sure they're the ones you were told about. Since then I've also adopted Silvrendir, an angel ... though he sort of dropped in, rather unexpectedly."
PostPosted: Thu Jan 17, 2008 7:07 pm

"So I've been told," Lore murmured, "Silvrendir is as small as any of the other children, it's like having another Second around. He's quite quiet though.. not shy... I don't think."

It just seemed like Slivrendir did like to keep his words though.

She got as far as summoning it, she tended though to burn everything but the thing she was burning.

Daemon commented in an almost innocent manner, like the time when Kara had accidently set fire to the book, fortunately the book she was learning from wasn't badly damaged. In fact it was quite durable considering it all.
