Bill frowns "hmmm, well that t'aint very lady-like, dont reckon her mama never taught her no good manners like ah got" he walks over to his truck, hangs his coat on the set of longhorns attached to the front, and climbs up on the hood. He stretches out, his back against the windshield and legs crossed at the ankels, his cowboy boots pointing out at odd directions and pulls his hat down over his eyes and rests his back against his arms. "i reckon *long deep yawn* this is good a place as any ta catch a few winks." His chest slowly begins rising and falling in deep, long rythmic breaths. oddly enough, even in sleep a humans breathing would never be so deep or so long between breaths. eventually snoring can be heard for quite a distance in every direction as the cowboy drifts off into, apparently, deep sleep.

Having left Los Naches, she decided to explore a bit more before getting somemore rest. When entering the docks, she would tell that the place was not run by any uptight vampire. She knew that she would need to soon get back to the Hotel to take a long shower after going through this place.

The gravel beneath her feet which was at first an annoyance had faded quickly from her mind. She didn't know why she chose a place like this to look around, though it was as good as any other place.

Spotting an old pick-up truck not far ahead of her, she moved off to the left. More or less the move was to keep anything which might be hiding in/on the truck from jumping out and directly hitting her.

She remained walking at a slow place, her eyes on the sparkling water. If she would have chose to walk on the other side of the truck, she never would have seen the guy snoozing on the hood of the Ford, though she did. Smirking at her first thought that he was misplaced, it was not hard to tell that he did not belong in this part of New York, hell, some would say that by his looks, he didn't belong in New York at all.

*Rogue followed Ciara here from quite a distance as to not be known using tricks that her species had picked up over the centuries. It was then that she spoke into Ciara's mind.

If you wanted answers, all you need do was ask...we are here to protect you and the rest of our species...we are either bound together, or not at all... The words were like whispers for some reason tonight.

Rogue had been thinking a large deal about the species as of late...of the war that was rising, duties to her species as an Elder, her businesses that needed to stay on the downlow, but also some of the hottest places in New York...

Her thoughts drifted for a moment to Cady...but she pushed the away as she knew how much he would have loved to see the sun..*

She thought for a moment that Rouge's voice was just another of those running through her mind. It took her a minute to be hit by the words, and actually part them from the others.

Ciara didn't stop walking, she figured that if Rouge wasn't to far behind, unless she was skilled tapping enough to tap into the minds of others from such a distance.

Taking a moment to allow her mind to fallow the path which the message seemed to have come in, she responded in the same method, though her own voice within Rouge's head would sound a bit harsh, as if broken.

"Protecting is not what I need. This is a new place for me, and I do not do well with kindly, as some would say, finding out things. I prefer to use the word quiet. That does not matter. My focus now is to know who is in charge of what, and who to stay clear of.

Her words, no matter how they were taken, were not meant to be mean, rude, or apathetic. She really wanted these answers, and she would get them some way. Yes, she prefered them from her own race, but that was for Rouge to decide.

*Rogue sat perched and watched her continue walking.

We all do not want protection by any means, but the means I speak of is that of family. By nature we are alone, but we stand together so the race as a whole survives...By your age you should know this.

*Rogue leapt to another rooftop near the docks.*
You do not need protection directly at all, and by means I am not here to give it to you, but as a loyalty and service of the race, I welcome you. Our home is yours, unless you prove yourself otherwise.

*Rogue noted this, as a means more to state that there were traitors to the race...some that hunted their own kind.*
I do not know if you have stumbled upon the coven, but it is a place of residence to a good deal of your bretheren in the city. She flashed an image of its location to Ciara's mind if she hadn't already found it.

There are four Elders here and I am one of them. We are best not to be made enemies of, and if you must know, a war is brewing across the bloodlines...
PostPosted: Sat Mar 10, 2007 12:55 pm

She had indeed not come across the coven and allowed the image to stay within her mind. That image was much better than those which she has stumbled across recently.

Stoping at the waters edge, she crotched in a near kneeling postion. Her left hand lowering into the calm liquid.

"I see."

Her head slowly lowered to look at where her hand had entered the water. She was careful for what she said, more so now than before. The Elder was talking, and that's what she wanted.

"I thank you. Now what of this war, and whose land am I on?"

She would keep her questions simple, for now was not the time to get complecated.

This area is hunter controlled, though I must admit, they have been a bit lax lately.
*Her tone mocked the hunters somehow, as if she had done a bit of damage here recently without being caught. She smiled slightly from the far off distance and then continued.*

I own a few places throughout the city...Las Noches being one of them. The Subway entrance is controlled by our race as well...

If you are more for intruding, the junk yard is controlled by Tainted...naturally, they belong there. Lycans control the sewars...though the bloodlines seem to be overrunning many places in New York these days....

*She leapt down and landed quietly next to the street, then walked closer to the water and closer to Ciara while lighting a cigarette.*

And this war...it is mainly...them vs. us.

"Sounds fun." Her voice ended with the same sigh her body released. Her left hand had moved out of the water to allow her arms to cross in a relaxed fashion on her theighs. Her head was still lowered, her blue-gray eyes on the water.

"Who do you believe poses the biggest threat?" Smelling the fumes from both Rouge's lighter and cigeratte caused her to turn her a bit. The question seemed to be out of concern, that of which she had little to spare. Some how, she looked at everything differntly. The small things mattered more to her than the bigger things. It was hard for her to explain.

"Us, naturally." She spoke the words out loud, her voice smooth, somewhat arrogant, but moreso strong and confident.

"What brings you to New York?"
PostPosted: Sat Mar 10, 2007 7:32 pm

She had to think on that one for a moment. It was more or less a spontaneous action, moving to New York.

"I suppose you could say to get away and try something new."

Her own voiced sounded as a strangers, to soft to be hers. Possibly her thoughts caused this, she did not know. What she did know though came from a tight pulling sensation on her lower abdominals. She was hungery, to put it plain and simple. She had been in New York a week or so already and had found no food. She hated her digestive system, yet it was her own fought, she had trained it, some how. She didn't know much else to add in, her mind had now went into some sort of defence mood agasint herself, finding ways to fight off the hunger. Ciara gazed out at the water taking in the beauty that sparkled over it, her head staying lowered.

*Rogue took a drag on her cigarette noticing that Ciara needed to feed.*

"If you need anything, let me know. Its best you don't stay a stranger...at least with the times coming to be a bit hecktic. I can go so you can catch some dinner..."
*Rogue lifted an eyebrow slightly and gestured a thumb to the right.

Ciara looked up towards Rouge as she spoke this time. Her eyes fallowing her gesture.

She couldn't help but laugh at the sight of the human. Offering Rouge a gentle smile before speaking calmly.

"He would probably do more damage to me than I would him."

She cursed herself not long after recieving the curse which made her do it. It sucked, to put it simply. She couldn't feed on humans, females made her gag, and she had never tried any other demonic force's blood. She didn't know if it was for the best or worst that she had not, though, she never really thought of it.

"And why is that...dirty conscience, or physical problem..?"
PostPosted: Sun Mar 11, 2007 1:38 pm

Ciara paused. She was to make friends, not enemies. Trust. There is no harm in sharing, She thought to herself.

"Human blood has never really.. Settled well with my system. When it comes down to it all though, I will drink a human dry. My preferences, are male vampires and male angels."

She stoped there. It wasn't much of a sercret, though only a few really knew that about her. It wasn't a betrayal to her race, but she didn't like what they were. What they did. Turning her back on them would cause her to look hypocritical though, so she accepted it for them.

Pushing her palms into her knees, she brought herself to a stand. She knew the rising sun would bring pain to her body, more so her eyes, due to lack of nutrients. Not that this would bother her. She has delt with worse, expecially in her younger years with being arrogant and nearly killing herself just because she wanted to watch the morning sunrise. Most of the time she would, though she wasn't so sure if she would at the moment. She had a feeling in her that she had been found. And with this thought, she was glad Rouge droped the subject of moving here when she did.

((technically none of the vampires in DNY can walk in the sunlight...only the elders and vampires who have drank from the elders....and its ONLY for the current storyline....not a permanent thing.))

*Rogue studied her for a moment then spoke in a soft voice.*
"So you are in the practice of killing your own kind...?"
