Nolen laughed at her statement. Teasingly, he smirked and said in a most playful tone, "Well I don't exactly go around carrying gifts in my pockets now." With a wink from his green eye, he chuckled again. He smiled as he turned his stare into the fire. "Your home seems nice. But it must be a bother to have to travel all the time. Does it ever leave you wanting to just stay put in one spot? I mean you must have traveled pretty far to get to this place. Have you ever missed somewhere you've been?" A loaded question but a serious one. He took a piece of fish and popped it in his mouth as he turned his head to look at her for the answer.

Sayuri smiled brightly and giggled, running a hand through her neck fur again. She tilted her head a little, chittering softly as he stared into the fire. "It is.... And that is also true. But I've known no other home or life to this so... I make due. I adjust..." She sighed, staring into the fire now herself. "Sometimes it does." She murmured, looking down to the stones before she glanced in the direction of her friends caravan. "I know Tsuki would prefer to stay in one place even if she knows that we need her. For myself, I have... I've missed a few places. I know I'll miss it here when we leave for wherever it is we will go." She answered in a quiet voice, smiling softly to him, not seeming too bothered in the least.

Nolen noticed how calm and boring the conversation got. This was no good. He smiled and jumped to his feet. "Well then, better to make the most of what time you got here, huh?" He smirked, hands on his hips. "So, Sayuri. Have you been exploring in the forest yet?" His tail was whipping behind him. A small show of his boost in energy. "I've seen too many rabbits around here for my liking. What have you seen the most off?" He wanted to distract her and make her think of the land, rather then leaving the land.

Sayuri blinked a little as he jumped up, tilting her head as her ears twitched just a little, pushing herself up as well. "Definitely." She grinned, chirruping in a happy sort of way. "Only a little, I haven't gone that far since they always call me back before I go too far. I have a habit of straying." She chuckled a little, had she seen any? "I've seen lots of birds. I've seen barely any rabbits." She murmured, seeming thoughtful then, her tail twitching a little before it suddenly whipped around in a few curls and twists, straightening again after a moment. "Granted... I keep falling asleep since it's so comfy here." She scratched the back of her head in embarrassment, a wide smile on her features.

((*blinks at your sig* Stones from the river??))

Nolen linked arms with Sayuri. "Well I'm sure they wouldn't mind me borrowing you for a little while." Without finding out if it was okay or not he grinned at the lemur. "Wanna help me put out the fire?" He had no idea how he was going to do that, but he was going to try any method he could! The golden lion was not into letting the forest burn down. Releasing her, the lion looked at the fire, then looked back at the lake then back the fire. It seemed that thinking was not his strong point as he looked stumped. "Any ideas?" He asked shyly.

(( A really bad summer reading book. >< ))

Sayuri giggled a little, striking a pose as they linked arms, her sleeves ruffling a little. "Not at all." She winked, nodding with a smile. "Of course." Then she noticed the distance between the lake and the fire. She seemed to ponder a bit, then snapped her fingers, grinning brightly. "Yeppers! I'll be right back." She looked around at the trees, looking for something.... There! She dashed over to one and vanished from sight among the leaves, soon a cracking sound heard. "Forgive me tree... But I don't think you'll be using this dead branch anymore..." Then she heard another crack that was beneath her right when she got the hollowed out branch free. Letting out a shriek, she fell while clutching the branch, catching herself on the lowest bough so that she landed on her feet, wincing since she had hit her back against the trunk. Then she showed him what she had gone to get. It was a a semi circle shaped branch that should hold water, it was just a matter of making sure it didn't go out the ends.

Dashing back over to the fire, she moved the rocks aside a bit, digging up some of the earth, carefully pouring it over the flames which sputtered a little. Repeating this, she stopped once the fire was out completely, grinning to him. "There! Done." She put down the part of the branch she had used as a shovel, her ears twitching happily.

((Ooo! Ouch that sounds like a really bad book. How many more do you have to read?))

Nolen looked at her curiously. Where was she going? Hearing the cracking sound, his green eyes widened. Uh oh. He didn't think that this would end well at all! The shriek scared him enough to go running towards the outcry but he could hardly find her. She was far too nimble for him to even guess where she was among the trees.

After she came back and showed him exactly what she had to do to get the branch and exactly how it was going to work, he sighed. "You should have told me! I would have helped you!" Well... at least he would have tried to help her if nothing else. But he wasn't going to tell her that he was actually not a fan of heights nor did he know how to climb trees. Nah, lets leave that out. He watched her curiously and smiled. "Sayuri you're so clever!" He ran to her and carefully gave her a hug, watching out for her back. He then knelt down and held out his arms, facing his back to her. "Care for a ride for all your hard work?" He winked over his shoulder at her.

(( Yeahz... I'm not even going to go into it... so boring. Two. crying And after this I go sleep. xP ))

Sayuri gave a nervous chuckle, smiling softly to him, scratching her neck fur again. "I know... But I wanted to get it." She told him, tilting her head a little. She giggled, hugging him back, then blinking a little while she watched him kneel down with his back to her. Brightening, she started to leap, but realized that would probably be a bad idea, so walked over and climbed on. "I'd love one." She chittered happily, nuzzling his head a little in thanks.

((Aww poor NayNay! *luffles* Maybe you can burn it after you're done in celebration? @_@ two more.. eek. ^^ okays Night night <3))

Nolen smiled at her from over his shoulder. "Ready?" His arms locked around her legs before he rose up. "If not, too bad!" He spoke not harshly but truthfully. The golden lion male began walking off towards the forest. "Now if anyone sees us leaving, you can tell them I kidnapped you." He smiled. They passed through the trees and it was not long before sure enough, a brown bunny was hopping along a few feet away from where they were. Nolen rolled his eyes. "There is ANOTHER one of those rabbits. Man they're everywhere! If you see anything that's NOT a rabbit, let me know?"
PostPosted: Thu Aug 21, 2008 11:30 am

(( *luffles back* I very well might. xP Yeah.. At least one is small! <3 ))

Sayuri wrapped her arms around his neck, careful not to choke him when she did though, her chin resting on his shoulder. She giggled, nodding, "Alright, I'll tell them that." She chuckled, imagining the reactions that she would receive. She'd probably have a play fight with someone if that were the case. Looking around, she spotted the rabbit, her tail twitching, having a sudden urge to chase after it, but she withheld it, laughing softly at his reaction. "I will- Oo! Shiny!" She pointed to a tree, seeing a blue jay in the branches, again wanting to jump from his shoulders and give chase. So easily distracted.... "Rabbits do have a lot of children after mating.." She noted, tilting her head a little to look at him. She started looking round again, appearing quite content where she was. Blinking a little, she tilted her head, "Wow.. A cardinal..." She pointed out a red crested bird in a tree, it's red feathers shimmering in the sun.

((What are the titles of your next two? And when do you start school?))

Well that didn't take long. Nolen smiled as he looked in the direction she pointed. "Oh wow, I've never seen a bird that color before." It was true, they didn't have blue jays in the city. He sighed at her comment. "I wish they didn't all LIVE together though. Huh? Cardinal?" He wasn't sure what he was supposed to see but following where she pointed, the golden lion was happy to see a red bird. "Oh wow that's a nice one!" Nolen started to walk further on to try and see what else was around. "You're good at spotting this stuff. I've been out here for a while now and I've never seen those birds before."

(( Siddhartha and The Kite Runner. Sept. 4th. >< ))

Sayuri blinked, he hadn't? "Really? I'm shocked, I see them around randomly." She smiled, giggling a little. Rabbits would be rabbits. Then she paused again, he didn't know what a cardinal was either? "Isn't it? I love Cardinals, it's such a pretty red!" She looked around some more, her magenta eyes resting on him when he spoke. "Thanks. I'm used to having to watch out a lot. It's harder to jump from tree to tree and stuff than it may seem. Really? You really haven't? I'm shocked!" She then gave him a hug, again careful not to choke him. "Well, we'll just have to look around some more. Hey, a hawk!" She had looked up to the sky, pointing with a slight bounce, blushing as she realized that may put him off balance. "Sorry."

((Sept 3rd I'll be down at the Bourse. Think we could hang out once I'm done there? I get done around noon. Its a wednesday))

"Hey, I imagine its very hard to do! You just make it look easy!" He winked at her from over his shoulder. Nolen smiled. "Nope but then again I don't look in trees too often." The lion's attention was drawn the hawk and without a thought, he jilted a little but hardly stopped or swayed. He smiled back at her over his shoulder. "Takes a lot more then that to knock me down! Feel free to bounce around all you like!" He didn't mind. However his eyes went back tot he hawk. "I like those birds. They are great hunters!"

((O_O Uh oh *hides* my neighbors family from the South are in and they're scary crying And I'll have to respond back later @_@ *has to eat lunch before work* Bye))
PostPosted: Thu Aug 21, 2008 12:41 pm

(( Sure. I think I should be free then. ^^ kk. ))

Sayuri blushed once more, grinning as she remembered all the times she would climb around when she was a child. "Thankies. It is in my nature, since I'm a leemur and all." She giggled a little, picturing him trying to climb a tree and was promptly very amused. She breathed a small sigh of relief, nodding once with a warm smile. "Alright!" She was distracted as he looked up, following his gaze to the hawk, her expression softening. "They are. I wonder if thats one of the guys' friends." She murmured, voice a little distant in thought.

(( Oh dear... O_O alright, bye! ))

((Awesome! I just gotta figure out to get to your house from there. Shouldn't be too hard or far ^^))

Nolen chuckled. "Still much better climber then I could hope to be. Nope I think I like just sitting under them." He did not care for heights one bit! He grinned. How cute, she was worried! He smiled up at the hawk before blinking. "Huh? What do you mean one of the guys' friends?" He looked up at the hawk with a little confusion. Could that be a scout from her caravan? He was far too cautious to take that risk. He was quick to dash under the brush of the trees, green eyes looking up at it. Of course, how could he be so careless? People owned hawks all the time! It was his instinct to hide from it from his old way of living before. Too bad he didn't realize how Sayuri might take to suddenly being moved from the sight of the hawk.
