"It's okay." Miyuki's tension left with the contact. "Um, how are your studies?" She asked for lack of topic.

"Ah, that's right. You're a scholarship student. You must be incredibly smart." No matter how much Miyuki studied she could only get A's and B's. Something she was working on desperately in hopes of impressing her father.

he blused slightly at being called smart," yeah that is what i'm told" he said looking away from her and down to his books" actually the principle, or is it head master, well who ever it is actually wants me to be a tutor for some of the kids who think they may need help on certain subjects"

"Eh?" Miyuki was puzzled. "Don't the families here just hire their own private tutors?" Miyuki actually had a couple of them but she still wasn't getting what they tried to teach her. She scowled slightly at her physics book, full of complicated things she needed to, but couldn't, understand.

"yeah they do but some kids can relate more to someone their own age compared to someone their partents age or older" he smirked tapping his temple" it's all a matter of psychology" he grinned, he loved to show his smarts but for some reasons never liked to be called smart.

"Ah, I see." Miyuki smiled and pretended to understand what he'd said. She wasn't too bright on things like phsycology. She'd lived a sheltered life and didn't need to know about human phsycology to run a clothing and modeling business. Er, businesses... "Have you tutored anyone?"

"You like teaching people?" Miyuki asked. "Ah, sorry. I've asked too many questions. I'm so tiring! I should probably go anyway." She gathered her books nervously. She couldn't beleive she'd interrogated him like she had.

With out even thinking Chiba had stood up and took Miyuki by the wrist and turned her around to look at him" Your not tiring Miyuki, I actually don't mind answering questions, to tell you the truth that's why I love toutoring" he smiled slightly looking to her" don't every think your bothering me by ask questions, for I'd rather you get to know me"

"Ah!" She almost dropped all of her books when he grabbed her. "A-Are you sure? I know I'm tiring! It's okay to be honest with me! I can handle that sort of thing. That is," Miyuki looked down and her voice dropped to a whisper. "I know I'm bad. I know I'm tiring. You don't have to fuss over it and be polite. I all ready know what people think of me." Her shoulders slouched slightly as she said it, she looked away at the carpet in front of her. She gently tugged her hand away from Chiba. "You shouldn't worry yourself over such things, Yoshitoki-san." She turned and ran through the bookshelves that turned the library into a maze. She got lost again and just sat down in one of the reading chairs. She didn't bother to get her map out. She wanted to be alone any way. She wouldn't cause any trouble if she were alone, if she were gone. Her father wouldn't have to look at her with such pain in his eyes, with disdain even. The maid's wouldn't have to tire themselves with her or play with her if she were gone. The entire world would be able to just step over it, like a pebble they wanted to avoid. She only caused trouble. She was such a bad person! She even killed her mother because of it. The best thing she could do was die, as she'd heard many times before.

Chiba followed after her, this is madness is this what her father had done to her maker her into this self hating young women. If it wasn't for her he would of never found his true father, if it wasn't for her he still have his nose in a book trying to forget about the world around him and how diffrent he is to them. most of all though she was the first person in this school to treat him like everyone else and not some puppet to gock at for he was one of the "special students". " Miyuki, where did you go" he called out going in and out of the books shelves trying to find her" Miyuki listen to me screw what the others think for that's all it is thinking they don't get to know the real you, the polite happy you, all they see is what your father has made you." He stopped seeing her at one of the chairs" Miyuki i wasn't being polite back there I was being honest," he slowly moved towards her, keeping him self ready just incase she tried to run away again, " Miyuki your an amazing girl you aren't bad, you aren't tiring" he smiled now as he placed his hand gently on her shoulder" What you are is a sweet girl who's father has put you in a place where it makes you feel as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders"

Miyuki was curled into a ball on the chair, looking down at her scattered books. "You're wrong." She whispered. "I'm a monster. I do nothing but cause trouble. I can't even do enough to make father glance at me. Not once, ever. I'm useless, I'm nothing." Tears ran down her cheeks as she went over the mantra she'd had her whole life. The mantra she'd grown up and tried the over come. The very words she'd pressed upon herself as she strived to become an entirely different person. She'd tried to be the person her father would approve of but he'd never even looked at her, rarely even spoke to her. Never said her name or called her daughter, once. "I'm useless, nothing." She said again in an even quieter whisper, so quiet it almost wasn't even there.
((Ha! More longevity.))

Chiba shook his head, he couldn't belive that her father hadturn her into this self hatting girl. He wraped his arms around the ball that was miyuki holding her close. Chiba breathed slowly trying to calm her down before he spoke," Your not a monster at all don't every think you are, your a young women, a beautiful one at that, who's father has done wrong by not acknowledging her." he told her slightly rocking with her now" I don't think that and i have to say i don't think that maid would think it ether" he paused to listen to see if she was going to say anything." also your father doesn't get one thing, women are much better at telling fashion the men" he joked.

Miyuki, clearly, missed the joke. She just shook her head and kept quiet. She'd heard what her father had said to the maids and heard them agree with him. She done her best to change such opinions but it never worked. She even tried to be tom boyish, going as far as to address herself as 'boku' instead of 'watashi'. But when the head maid and her governess had told her it was ridiculous and to 'for god's sakes, let that hair down already,' she'd stopped. It was difficult anyway. Miyuki just sat there, memories such as these running loose in her head, tears stinging her eyes and rolling down her hidden face.
