((If any of the descriptions I give are terribly wrong, please tell me, and I'll fix them. But I'm in a descriptive mood this evening! biggrin I'll try to keep it short, though, since I'm not totally sure about the village. Hope you guys don't mind.))

A smile lit Marael's face as she caught sight of the elven settelment. Unconsiously, she relaxed a bit, feeing the protections around the village.

The city was full of trees, in which the Bredia elves lived, and rope bridges spanned here and there to connect houses and rooms. Elves walked all over, chatting and examining wares in an open marketplace. Witchlights hovered here and there, giving off a warm, welcoming glow.

Behind her, Jeni exclaimed in surprise and she half-turned to watch the expressions on the newcomers. "Bredia Village." She murmured to Jeni with a smile. "The largest village in this country." She glanced at Emmia then her eyes flicked back to the splendid sight of the city. She had been away from elves for nearly a week, and it felt good to be with her own kind again.

((Sounds good to me ^.^))

She stepped forward wearing a brilliant smile and held out open arms towards the wonderous veiw that was Bredia, as if to embrace the very place she called home. For a moment she was a child again, walking in quiet awe at her mother's side as they entered the gleaming city for the first time. Her eyes were big, orange, and glassy as she'd tried to take it all in at once. The memory was as fluid as the present, and she too turned from the sight as Marael had to watch the display across the new faces. It only added to her joy to hear Jeni's exclaimation.

A cloud of sparkling dust was wafted towards them as a cluster of curious faes and fairies zoomed passed, over their heads, then back again. Though as one would usually expect to be choked by the tiny particles, quite the opposite took effect. The shower of dust almost tickled when it made contact with the skin. The nymph's clever songs drifted over them as well, something about 'flat-eared freaks' but Emmia tried her best to talk over this as to not let the group hear the obvious insults.

"Yes, well let's carry on. It's getting later by the minute, you all must be exhausted. Come along, my home is around the heart of central square. Do try not to get seperated. Not all elves will be accepting of you." And even as she said this, a wrinkled gray-skinned elf with particularly bulging eyes started to stare at them.

As the cloud of faes and fairies went by, Luke's cape flutters softly. He reaches up and slowly waves a hand in the dust left behind.
...Hm...
This whole scene makes him think of Peter Pan. As if he could just jump up and fly...he doesn't try, however. He's already made himself feel like an idiot for trying to ignite his hand. He does stick close to Marael and Gabe. His light golden-brown eyes shimmer in the light of the city as he takes it in...
"This is amazing..."
Comes his comment under a breath. It's naught but a whisper as he looks around. While they begin to gather attention, one in particular grabs Luke's eye; an old weaponsmith seems to be admiring their equipment.

Jeni suddenly felf very self concious, she was no elf, and the whole group were starting to attract attention.
As Emmia led them to her house, she found her pace quickening, she wanted to be away from the stares as soon as possible.
She also needed to talk to Luke and Valerye, hopefully she could do that at Emmia's house.

((Hello everyone, I'm now back.....finally meaning I can do my job here. If you are wondering I have decided (after accepting a few profiles that I really liked) to re-PM the people with the best profiles to ask them if they are still interested. This will weed out the ones who gave up already. I'll ask them all to read all thats going on then, then I'll post their profile. I have to accept some people due to the fact we still need a few more charaters. If any one here is totally agaist this please tell me ASAP. I really do want your thoughts on this. If you think I should not add anyone. To let you know of the problem I have...its due to the fact I have about 20 profiles in my PM inbox, and thats just way to much....to not be fair.

Also, to everyone worried about discriptions and any other part of the RP that you have to make up as you go. This is the whole point, I really encourage that you do this due to the fact this is what I wanted from the begining. I decided that I was only to give you what you needed to go on and you all were to make up the rest. The fact being all of you are doing amazing! I could have never expected it to evolve into this interesting plot already.

Now, about my charaters.....because of me being gone I have decided that Haylin is going to have to just jump in. Theres really no other way for her to have made it to Bredia along with the other group. Along with my Elf charater I'm going to just make it that she stayed in Bredia the whole time. Anyone against this please let me know and I will re-write my posts.

Alrighty now that I think I have said everything....wait...no...also I'm going to comfirm that Iesumi is a best friend in RL and I did tell her about it before i left.^^ I happy I did...lol
(By the way sorry for the long message...I needed to get everything in.)))

Haylin was taking everything in with as much curiosity as fear. Folding her arms over her clearly shown upper chest. She followed the others stiffly and quietly. It seemed to her that everything that came from this village of Bredia seemed to have come from a book and out into real life. Looking around with wonder she looked up and saw the commotion up in the air and thought

Faes and fairies....showers of beautiful dust?! Where in the world were they?

Watching the golden dust slowly fall onto her, she simply had the urge to twist and twirl under the falling halo. Smiling, Haylin slowly twisted herself into a smooth turn gazing up at the dust as it fell onto her skin. It left her pale skin coated with the shiny gold dust. Realizing her stupid mistake she thought

Crap! I didn't want to bring more attention to myself than needed, but now it seemes I just made matters worse!

Looking from the Bredia elf on-lookers to her pale skin, Haylin started to try to brush off any tiny particle that may have made its way to her skin. Noticing it wasn't helping any, she gave up and continued her exhausted strut after the graceful elf. Brightly glowing from the golden dust that now covered her skimpy clad body, she clearly was the on-lookers center of attention.

((Hmm... Destiny, your post just reminded me that I never did describe what Emmia was wearing. Now I feel all excited to go do that. So I'm going to find a picture that matches what's in my head and I'll ask to have it added to my pro. Please go look at it so you all can have an idea of what my chara looks like! xd ))

While walking down from the main North West trail Lae smiled at her accomplishment for the day. Two perfect Tanner tree branches that would make amazing bows after her talented father got ahold of them.

To be sure to make it to Bredia by sundown Lae took off in a graceful run down the tail. Upon entering the large village Lae slowed down to normal jog. By now time had slowed and the Fae and Fairies had begun their normal ritual of celebrating the start of dark by bothering the elfs with their on going shower of golden dust that covered anything in their path. Not to mention it took weeks to get the dust off of your clothes and body. Most elves liked it and loved when they felt the dust almost tickle their skin.

But gezz for weeks they tended to look like living golden works of art....I dont know how they stand it.....

Smiling as she dodged the incoming clouds, Lae made her way to her fathers shop. She knew he would be proud to see that she had made away with two lovely Tanner tree branches today. Almost to her fathers place in the market she heard curious bits and pieces from neighboring Elves.

".....can you believe.....have you seen them....?!"
"Round ears!"
"Did you see their weapons......plainly not normal!"

Confused and greatly interested she followed the voices until she saw what they were talking about. Under bothering Faes and Fairies was a group of young round eared well...somethings. They were being quickly shuffled by of course the re-nouned Emmia and and elf that didn't quite look from around here.
Emmia just so happened to be her best friend....and one that alot of the time got herself into alot of trouble. This by far would be one of her biggest stunts that Lae could ever recall.

Dear lord....what has Emmia done now, she thought with a sigh.

Her father would just have to wait for these braches. Emmia looked like she may need her. Running to catch up with the group Lae was wondering what she was suposed to say when she met up with her friend.

(( rofl Holy Crapizoli, that's so great!!))

It was all getting very annoying very fast. The shimmering dust that now littered pretty much everything in sight was now sticking in her hair and making all of her exposed body shimmer in her armor as if crystals were hidden beneath her very skin. Sure, it only added to the beauty but it had pricked a hole in her joy. Not only that but all of these elves, most of whom she recognized and knew, were staring without shame at her and the rest of them as if they'd never seen anything like it before... which was true... but that wasn't the point! She tried to get them through the square as quickly as possible, but of course this was the most crowded place in all of the city. There were fingers pointing at them and huddles of gossip groups and eyes that were all changing to a curious coral or surprised violet. But then there was one set of eyes that remained a steady green that was staring straight on at Emmia with a softer non-judging look. She knew those eyes.

"Lae!?" she exclaimed, about to rush forward to meet her before remembering she had to stay with the group. Like Marael, Emmia was starting to have this weird sense of needing to protect them.
But the sight of her dear friend was washing away her slight worry and annoyance. Her eyes were even getting a bit lighter.
"Lae, I need your help, these... um... well, they need somewhere to stay and my tree is a bit... small for all of them." she said, knowing what course Lae's thoughts must be taking right about now. They knew each other all too well. "We can go through names later, we just really have to get out of the open. All these nosey elves--" she glared at a particular elven girl that was just saying something awfully nasty about Emmia and 'the foreign freaks'. Needless to say, at Emmiadora's glance she was immediately silenced. "--shouldn't so be tempted to stare at us all."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 07, 2007 7:00 pm

((Hehe....I'm sorry I couldn't resist! whee ))
Panting from her unacustomed sprint through the ever growing crowd Lae had to catch her breath before answering. Her friend was certainly freaked out with not knowing what she was going to do. Lae knew it was up to her to help her friend. She was the only one who would.... Trying to stay calm for her clearly worried and annoyed friend she stated with calm indiffrence,

"You do know that my house will be big enough....but your going to have to explain as soon as we get there!"

Giving her friend a clear scarlet red glare that said, I'm going to kill you for dumping them on me! Lae gathered herself which caused her eyes to turn back to their normal calm green and took command. Taking her voice out of its normal small edged tone she called out to the small group of.....somethings.

"Everyone in Emmia's group you will now need to follow me! I would take the highest risk for her and anyone that she has decided to protect. Meaning each and everyone of you can trust me to get you to a safe place."

Looking around she noticed that she had ruffled alot of Bredia Elves feathers. She knew they really disliked not being courteous but they couldn't help it. She knew they had fear in their curiosity.

Also thinking about food she silently cursed herself.
Shoot...I'm almost out of food! I was going to collect tomorrow.....hopefully Emmia's got enough for them at her tree. Knowing her though, that may be unlikley! .....GREAT something else I have to deal with now.

Watching them with what hopefully looked like a calm face. Lae waited for their trust and responce before she would motion for them to come into the dark passage between trees that lead to her house.

((If I'm overstepping my bounds, please say something, and I'll edit this.))

Marael gave a cold stare to some nearby elves who were pointing, and they immediately stopped. She saw Emmia and another elf, apparently a friend, doing the same...but it was a crowded square, and there wasn't much they could do. Still, she walked on, furious at the elves and herself. I knew this would happen. She thought angrily. Fools, stand and stare!

Marael turned back to Emmia and her friend, Lae, who was vowing their safety. With a hint of dark satisfaction, she noticed the other Bredia elves looked very affronted at the Lae's declaration. She hid a smile and looked around at her rag-taggle group, most of whom looked slightly awed, lost, or hesitant. After a moment's scrutiny of this new elf, Marael nodded.

"We would be honored to share your...house." Marael fumbled slightly and gave a small bow to hide her embarassment. She was not good with people, and was unsure if Bredia customs differed from her homeland. She glanced around at the goggling elves again and a disapproving look crossed her swiftly darkening blue eyes. "I think introductions will have to wait for a quieter time." She murmured to Emmia and Lae.

She straightened and gave a cold look to the gathered elves, causing some to shiver.
"I was unaware that it is Bredia custom to oggle at visitors." She said loudly, her words sharp and piercing. Her voice echoed slightly around the nearly silent crowd. "Apparently the tales of Bredia's acceptance and kindness were exaggerated for its residents to act thus." Marael looked around at the gathered elves, her eyes so dark blue they looked almost black. The gathered elves slowly backed off, some turning away, and others leaving. The sky started to grow prematurely dark as clouds blew in from nowhere. The remaining elves looked up at the sky and then at Marael, then suddenly found something more interesting to do than stand about.

But no sooner had the clouds appeared, they disappeared and the sky resumed the soft hues of early night. Marael relaxed and glanced around at the group, slightly embarassed, her eyes back to their customary turquoise shade.

Jeni watched the meeting with surprise, another friendly elf, she found it odd compared to the others, all staring and making comments.
She heard Marael say they would be honoured to share the newcomers house. It was odd for to hear people talk that way.
The situation meant she had another name to remember, Lae.
As the group moved on, she went with them silently.

((It's cool Destiny. As long as the RP Master is in, I've no problem with new peeps. And about Haylin jumping in, that's pretty much how any new student char will have to go about it. Since we've been speaking of a bigger group following the elves other than just who's been playing, I think we've done a pretty good job of leaving that open as well. So, it's all good.))

Luke, still in nothing but awe, watches as the elves scatter. He looks to Marael and smiles.
Not bad.
He's just about to continue on when he feels a tug on his cape. Turning his head, he finds a little elven youngling tugging at his cape. He stops in his tracks. With one hand behind her back, and the other holding his cape, she's just too cute not to stop. After turning to face her, he smiles. When he smiles, so does she. Pulling her hand from behind her, she produces a lae ((ok, I know that's not spelled right, but with the new elf named Lae, I can't think of how to spell it. >.< You know, flower necklace like Hawaii.)) made of bright firey red flowers. She holds it up proudly with both hands. As her eyes change colors, Luke kneels and lowers his head, just enough for the little elf to drape it around his neck. He sits up, still on a knee, and lets it hang loosely from his neck. Handling it gently, he can't keep from smiling.
"Thank you."
The little one smiles at him as someone calls to her from the dispursing croud.
"Sailacel! Come along."
The little elven girl smiles and turns to run along, stopping only to turn back and wave at the group, then turning and running along playfully. Luke stands back up and rejoins the group.
"Well, it appears the Bredian younglings have the hospitality concept well in line."
He elbows Marael lightly as he catches up to her.
"I've always said children are the best teachers."
He smiles as the lae sways ever so slightly against his doublet with each step.

Ichnel had been standing at the outskirts of the crowd that had gathered around the knew arrivals. With his hieght, he hadn't need worry about not seeing them. He watched as Lae vowed to accept them into her home. Ichnel then noticed another new arrival, an elf with beautiful eyes might he add, disperse the crowd by reminding them of the village's reputation.

"Oh, if only..." Ichnel thought ruefully.

But then he noticed a little one, Sailacel, he recalled, come forth to give one of newcomers a lei of fire's heart flowers. He'd given them to her earlier that day from his garden. Ichnel smiled, thanking whichever deity who was listening for the acceptance of children. Wait, speaking of gardens and knowing Lae....

"Lae!" he called out. He knew she only stocked up on food every now and then and probably didn't have enough for her guests.

"I have some Moonsquashes and Ice Lettuce that just ripened. There's more than enough for me, but would you like to stop by and pick some for your guests?" Ichnel asked.

He hoped she wouldn't reject his offer. Many of the elves of Bredia still were wary of him, him being a dark elf and all. Suddenly, Ichnel was conscious of how he must appear to the new arrivals.
Ichnel was almost a foot taller than most other elves, his skin was almost as black as the night sky and his hair was pure white. His eyes breifly flickered a deep yellow and a light blue, conveying his nervousness and a little sorrow.

((I hope you don't mind I'm makeing up flora off the fly. Moonsquash tastes like squash and butter and Ice Lettuce tastes like regular lettuce with a slightly smokey after taste. Since Ichnel has an almost divine green thumb, could someone send me a list of plants in the world, or can I make up some? {both are fine and fun} ))

Haylin was grateful to Marael for taking it upon herself to stop all the cold and curious glares they were recieving from all the Elves of Bredia. However, when the skys suddanly darkened and cleared Haylins mind was only filled with fear. How could she do that? Was it normal to be able to control the clouds as she did? I guess I still have alot to learn about this world.....I just wish it wasn't so diffrent.

Watching the young Elven girl get Lukes attention by pulling on his cape made Haylin giggle. She wasn't used to see anthing of the sort because back where they were from most young girls would be afraid to go up to any stranger, let alone an older guy. Smiling as she watched Luke bend down to accept the bright red flowered necklace, she thought that maybe just maybe things here could turn out alright.
When the young girl ran to her mothers side after being called away Haylin turned to Luke and slowly wispered,

"So cute....things like that just seem to counter balance alot of the cold glares we seemed to have been recieving."

She leaned in to lightly touch the beautiful red lei, and wasn't surprised to see that it felt just as silky smooth as it looked. She looked curiously up at Luke wondering what he thought on all this. Happy about her simple discovery of the silky lae, Haylin turned her attention back to the new Elf that seemed to be friends with Emmia.

She seemed to be the most calm of the group but she was unsure.
Why were they not going to Emmia's house? Wasn't that where they were headed in the first place?
Sighing, Haylin decided that she would find out later. All she wanted was her bed back at home and her mom calling on her to come downstairs for dinner. She wasn't used to being so far from home without even knowing if she could go back. Shaking her head to getting those thoughts out of her mind, Haylin watched the leading elfs to see what would happen next.
