Inanise was surprised, and was just sitting down on her cot when Shania started talking to her. Nobody had taken much notice of her when she was at the table and she preferred that, but now there was no escape. "I suppose.." she said, her voice a barely audible whisper. She was still wearing her cloak, even now and felt a little hot. Determined not to take it off, she went over to the window that was beside the small table in the corner. She peered her head out in the night air, loving the coolness that it brought. Her grey eyes scanned the room, at the bouncing "stranger" and Shania and Ki. She bowed to them all and then went back to her cot on the floor. "I'll take my rest now." she told them all, excusing herself before lying down. However, she could not immediately sleep but pretended to, not really knowing how to interact with these people. -o0o- "It's been a while Aoi, it's good to have you back." Zipan told the one-armed elemental as they sat around the dining room table. Their mother had already retired from bed, but the brothers were still eager to spend some more time. "And your arm has healed wonderfully." he added. "Heh. It has. Glad that it has. Being a water elemental helped." he said, looking at the glass of water before him. Kanta shifted in his chair. "How long will you be staying this time? We have to celebrate you beoming a Seer, you know." he chuckled. Aoi looked away sadly. "I know... it's been a long while since I stayed here for long... I'm still thinking about it." Zipan looked at his older brother with observant eyes. "Still... it's been a while, you should forget about it." "You're not going to help youself." Added Kanta. Then, after sighing, he stands up. "Besides, you elementals have new things to worry about you know." Aoi looked at him and nodded, understanding. "The world grows unkind. That's why I'm striving so hard to master my skills. I don't want to be the one who looses conrol...." Zipan stood as well. "Don't make mom worry. You should rest. Your room is clean, so don't worry." he smiled. With that, Aoi stood as well. "Yeah, you're right." And the night silenced in the house, with the three brothers retreating to their respective rooms.

Shania gave the girl her peace. She hoped that Inanise might eventually warm up to her. But then, she didn't know how much she'd see of the pair after tonight. Leaning back in the cot Shania pondered the reaction about her lack of presence at the meeting that evening. On one hand, it would not be anything new. The other Gurus were used to her not showing up. More then once drops had been hinted to her about this 'problem'. But Shania never let it get to her. In fact, people usually forgot until the next meeting. She just rarely felt their meetings were productive and could generally find better things to do with her time. But she knew that tonight she had no good excuse, yet she found herself not caring. Shania was still postive that the meeting would've done very little. And with the panic that all the gurus were in she doubted her lack of presance was noted, or even others who may have shared her opinion. If it was missed, she'd no doubt hear about it in the morning. Shania decided to get a heads start and consider her excuse now.

Alex watched as Seth dug into the food as if it was the finest cooked meal in the world. He was one of the few people who apparently liked her cooking.
Alex finally dug into her own meal, starting with the scrambled eggs with cheese. After a bit, she answered Seth's question.
"Emotions have some part in controlling one's abilities." she started off. "Like, being able to be calm on the inside, will cause you to have better control of what goes on on the outside. Being angry causes your abilities to come in unpredictable spurts. Like it did with Selene."
Alex then went back to eating. "I'm sure Shania will be able to teach you more about it than I, though."

Seth ate another piece of bacon and finished.
"When will we go to Shanias?" Seth asked Alex
He was eager to go and now fueled up on a great breakfest. He had not eaten for a while and was happy to get some food in him.

Marra awoke the next morning with the sun shining in her thought the small window in her apartment. She squinted, rubbing still tired eyes.
I really need to buy a curtain for that window.
Sitting up, she looked to her bedside table. Her notes were still there, right where she left them, open and waiting for her. She had spent half the night going over them, trying to find something, anything that she could make sense of. Alas, there was nothing that she could discern from her notes, and she wasn't brave enough to ask an Elemental, not matter how curious she was. Perhaps she would visit the library later in the day. That may give her some insight into the matter. With a nod and a swift motion, she left her bed, taking a moment to make it neatly before dressing herself in a likewise fashion. Within a matter of moments she was ready for the day and though the door, her notebook packed neatly away in her satchel.
The streets were fairly busy now, but no where near as crowded as they were at the end of the day, and Marra appreciated the extra room as she walked along. First things first, breakfast was in order.
She knew the way to the center of town by heart now, and her feet took her to the same small bakery she had been visiting since she had relocated to Laista over a year and a half ago. Strangely enough, it was one of the few placed in town she didn't feel she stood out. Perhaps it was that the Elementals couldn't bake with strange powers, and that baked goods still had to be made by hand. Hand done work always reminded her of home. Whatever it was, she was always most grateful to purchase a small kettle of hot water and a flaky roll with honey and butter each morning before work, and today was no exception. With a greeting to the kindly woman behind the counter, and no need for her to place an order anymore, she took her modest breakfast to a small table outside, placing a home made tea packet in the kettle, and letting the morning sun wake her while she reviewed her notes again. Today was a new day, and perhaps she would discover something new with a fresh eye.
((Could someone possibly send me a PM is anyone is able to interact directly with Marra? I seem to keep missing everyone when I'm online.))

"Now where are we going?" Calib asked Alyssa as they tried their best to navigate their way through the town square. Again. "I want to take a look during the day." Alyssa said, smiling and leading her younger brother by the hand. They had barely made it home before moon rise last night, and Calib found it nearly impossible to be up so early in the morning.
Rubbing his bleary eyes, he let his sister pull him along. "Besides," his sister reasoned. "We're going to get some breakfast, and then we have to stock up on our food supply. Especially since someone," Alyssa took this time to glare at Calib. "eats it all before the week's over." Calib gave his sister a sheepish grin. "Well, anyways," Calib said as he tried to avert Alyssa's attention. "Let's grab some breakfast over there."
The twins squeezed their way to the store, and ordered tea with a ridiculous amount of bread, jam, and fruit. Alyssa watched Calib devour his breakfast, then turned her gaze to other people. She spotted someone looking over a sheaf of papers, with her own breakfast. "Do you think she could help us Cal?" Calib shrugged, still intent on eating his food. "Thank you for your help." She added a tad sarcastically.

Marra finished the last of her roll, wiping off a few errant crumbs with the back of her hand. While she was chewing, she looked around, her gaze locking momentarily with another woman sitting nearby with a young boy. Feeling awkward, as one usually does in those types of situations, she offered a small smile, being careful to keep her still full mouth shut. She noticed the fervor with which the boy was eating, and her smile deepened. Marra quickly realized she was staring, and allowed her gaze to drop back to her papers, her cheeks a bit red.

Alyssa also dropped her gaze, and went back to munching on her toast. "Do you happen to know her, Aka?" Calib asked as he paused from inhaling all the food that they ordered. "No, I don't." Alyssa replied. "But maybe she could help?" Calib stopped. "With what?" Alyssa smiled. "My fire problem? Do you suppose she's an Elemental like me?"
Calib rolled his eyes. "Aka, she might be a non-Elementa like me, you know. Don't assume things." He resumed consuming food, but at a slower rate then he had before. Alyssa's mouth formed into a pout, but she let it go. "I still think we should ask..." At her brother's glare, she grinned. "Or we could just stop by and greet her, seeing how you're done..." Alyssa snagged the last bread roll from Calib's plate, and headed over to the stranger. "Good morning."

A man walks down a road, approaching a city. A shriek can be heard as a hawk lands on his shoulder. The man nods to the bird as it flaps its wings and takes of into the sky, heading towards the city. The man goes through the opens gates as he reaches into his pocket and unfolds a piece of paper.
The paper read, "Laista - A city of wonder. Elementals and non-elementals both live together. However, disturbing tales come from the city. Unpredictable weather and natural disasters are happening and no one can guess why..." The rest had been scratched out or unreadable.
Will placed it back in his pocket and kept going, watching the citizens and people around. He put his shades on to see a little more clearly and walked a little slowly. His chains rattled on his left arm and his swords bounced on his sides the faster he walked which annoyed him. He realized this was a big city. He thought to himself, "I am going to need a guide."

Mei Mahou Alyssa snagged the last bread roll from Calib's plate, and headed over to the stranger. "Good morning." Marra looked up quickly from her notes, and into the eyes of the young woman she had been staring at only moments earlier. "Oh...uh...good morning to you." Marra fumbled with the notebook in her hands, quickly trying to shuffle the pages into some semblance of order before stuffing the entire mess into her bag. "I hope I didn't bother you earlier. I hadn't meant to stare." She realized she was babbling and closed her mouth, trying to look calm. Please...please let her not have seen what I was reading. Please! She prayed silently to herself as she looked up at the woman, tying to look confident.

Will walked a bit farther before pulling out another piece of paper from his pocket. After unfolding it a map of the city appeared. Will frowned a bit, Ugh, I hate maps. Why do they have to be so complicated? Maybe it really is a guy thing. I don't even remember what I'm supposed to be looking for.. Will stuffed the map back into his pocket, not bothering to fold it back up neatly. He then kept walking, flashing his eyes toward the sky to make sure Sarrow was doing ok. Well I have to start somewhere.

Alex finished her breakfast.
"We will head out as soon as I get the dishes cleaned up. Go ahead and bathe if youlike while I take care of them."
With that being said, Alex began gathering the dirty, and now empty, food plates up and hauled them into the kitchen. Once all were there, she began to wash them.

Alyssa looked at the woman and smiled. She was suspicious as to why the stranger had put all the papers away hastily. Calib came over, wondering what in the world his sister was up to now. "Hi! I'm Alyssa, and this is Cal, er Calib. I was wondering if you might happen to know a Fire guru... or something like that." Calib had his doubts at asking a total stranger, but his sister had whispered in his ear earlier that this stranger was trustworthy.

Walking a bit nervously into a city she had no recollection of, Selene clutched the piece of paper with the name Soreno written on it. Knowing that the city would be busy with life soon, Selene took to walking around the edges of the city. This was supposed to be the place of her birth, where her life began... but nothing ... nothing looked familiar to her. With a heavy sigh she sits on bench and continues to read the name over and over trying to recognize the name as her own.

As she was doing dishes, Alex heard her plants call out to her. She frowned at what they told her. 'There is someone in your garden. Come, hurry.'
Curious, she left her dishes as they were. She'd just get back to them after she took care of this small problem. Drying her hands on her towel, she verified Seth was still bathing then walked quickly out her back door.
When she got to her garden a moment later, she saw the back of the person, sitting on the bench on the far edge of the flower section. This stranger had dark red hair, and was wearing a simple shirt and slacks, both in varying shades of green.
Alex walked up to her, and put a smile on her face. "Are you lost?" she asked brightly. She didn't know why, but she had an odd feeling about this.
