With another loud and violent grunt, Tenma stabbed one of the lizard-men right off of Fisk's back, tossing it at another a few feet away. That one got back up and crawled over his dead comrade toward Tenma, who met it with the spear's tip.

The moment the spear-tip made contact with the creature, it exploded, like the first one had, and the stench began to permeate the air again. Tenma found herself covered in it's remains. "What the ********?!" she exclaimed, backing away.

The lizard men all stopped and began their chattering again.

Tendou looked down at her sister. The creatures had stopped attacking her, and she was confused. But it only took a moment more for the stench to reach her nose, even in her location. She covered her mouth and nose again. It wasn't quite as bad the second time, but still.

Taking the opening in the attack, she proceeded to the ground. Her body was tiring and she was afraid she might fall if she wasn't careful. But with the break, she made it to the ground safely.

She listened closely to the chattering from the creatures. It almost seemed like talking.

"Tenma," she called out to her sister. "Are you alright."

"I'm fine!" Tenma replied, a bit annoyed. "Just covered in, whatever the hell this is!" She pulled a small stringy organ off her shirt.

"That's intestine," Tendou informed her. "At least it should be." She didn't really want to look closer to make sure, and knew Tenma wouldn't be able to contest it.

The girls looked around at the lizard men. "Why aren't they attacking anymore?" they asked in unison.

The old man sat up, as the creatures stopped attacking. He tried scrambling away, but his body wouldn't move properly. Whether it be for pain or fear, he couldn't tell.

Vena just watched, amused. The compass pointed to the center of the fray still, right where the group was standing.

(( I got a lot of catching up to do, so bare with me. ))

D stood and watched the battle, and was not worried about the girls. He knew that Grave and Fisk were going to protect them. He advanced toward the group, and immediately caught the attention of about four of the lizard men.

One of the lizard men that was huddled in the group noticed him, and seemed to inform three other comrades. They broke away form the pack and rushed towards D.

D turned his head towards them and saw that only two of them had weapons. They held there spears in front of them, and the other two were behind them . D anticipated there attack before it happened, and was ready. The two unarmed lizards who were behind the ones with spears jumped forward towards D.

They hoped to distracted him long enough so the two with spears would be able to close there distance, and deliver the killing blow. However as the two began to descend from mid air claws ready to slash D dashed forward, and positioned himself so when they land he would be directly behind them.

And so they landed, and seemed confused because a mere second ago there foe was in front of them. D wasted no time, and begun his attack. He delivered a swift, but powerful kick to the lizard on his left. And when his foot landed he grabbed the one on his right. With his inhuman strength he lifted him with ease, and turned to face the remaining two.

He watched as the remaining two closed the gap, and had there spears raised and ready. The one on the right was the faster of the two, and was closing in much sooner. So D decided it was to be him, and quickly threw the lizard he held with the intent to deliver it back to its comrades.

The way the lizard was positioned was the same as if it were standing, and it did not realize what was happening. Mere seconds ago it was wondering what had happened to there foe, and now it was flying threw the air and watched as its foe grew distant. What snapped it back to reality was the agonizing pain it felt in its abdomen, and looked down only to find a spear jetting out threw its stomach.

It let out a cry, and so did the lizard holding the spear. Each seemed to be screaming no, but in what ever language they speak. This act had stopped only one for the charging lizards, and the other was to focused on there foe to noticed what had happened. By now the lizard D had kicked earlier had risen, and it to charged at D.

As the lizard with the spear was now only four feet away, and continued to close the gap D stepped back and to his right, but only a little. The lizard rushed past D missing him, and with almost god like speed D grabbed hold of the spear. He lifted the lizard who still held the spear, and turned left allowing his field of view to acquire the lizard was so dead set on attacking him from behind.

D had completed his turn, and simply thrust ed his right arm forward while pulling his left arm back. Causing the lizard to forced to let go, and it flew through the air only to smash into its comrade. The two lizards hit the grounded, and were as confused as they were in pain. But they did not have time to ponder what had happened, because the last thing they saw was D standing over them. And watched helplessly as he impaled them both with the spear.

He yanked it out of their motionless corpses, and ignored the smell cause he knew that by now the other lizard would have recovered from shock and would be charging. Which indeed it was charging in a fit of blind rage as it leaped toward D with no weapon in hand.

D sensed it before he saw it, and in one swift motion killed his single remaining foe. He held the spear in his right hand, and as he turned towards the leaping lizard made a single arching motion with his right arm. The lizard still in mid air had its head sliced off, and its body hit the ground before its head, but by this time D was more then three feet away walking towards the group.

He now had a spear.

Grave began to take a head count of his surrounding comrades during the break in the action and noticed the beaten old man. The sweeper had assumed that the old man ran or took refuge once the fighting started and forgot about it, but that didn't seem to be the case... He must have been the victim of the earlier frenzy. Grave hadn't given much thought to the dog pile he saw earlier assuming it was another example of cannibalism or ceremony.

While Grave was studying the situation one of the lizard men was creeping into close range to attempt a cheap shot, but the giant noticed the savage, closed the distance with a quick dash, and finished it off with a crushing blow from his right hand. He then made a dash for the wounded old man. If he could get the body back into the center of the group he could protect it from further harm and hopefully save the geezer's life.

Fisk look around as all the lizards started to close in on them. He could to better fighting them with the branch if he didn't have to worry about hit the two girls near him. "So you both are ninjas are you" The large man dropped the branch and lifted both girls up by the back of their shirts. "Then you both should beable to land safely." With that, Fisk chunked him over the lizards men that were rushing. Afterwards he picked up the branch and leered at the hoards of monsters rushing to him. "I don't know what you want, but your not going to get it."

Grave slowed as he approached the dying body of the old man... He was to late. He had no skills in the medical field or the finesse to carry and protect the man in this situation... and even if he did manage to move the geezer where would he take him? A small pang of guilt hit Grave as he turned away and began to take aim on another one of the grotesque creatures.

With the twitch of a finger another monster ceased to be... "Find what they are looking for..." Grave moved to the aid of the young shinobi while shooting lizard men out of the air and trees surrounding Fisk. He only had a few rounds left.

Tenma grinned at the mention of their powers and immediately started making hand symbols. One was about to attack her before she finished, but her twin managed to fend him off nicely.

"Katon! Hidama no Jutsu!" She moved her hands forward and to the side in a sweeping motion and from the center of where her hands had been, seven fireballs--about two feet in diameter--flew out toward the enemy. She hit two lizards squarely, and singed another three badly enough that they had to stop. The other two fireballs missed their targets.

But the lizards seemed endless.

"What the hell are they after?" Tenma snapped.

Tendou made her way toward the corpse to find out exactly what that something was. Her mistake was in not requesting cover. The moment one of the lizards realized she was after the same thing they were, he let out a shrill cry.

A split second of no movement from the lizards, a pause that seemed to last much longer than it did, long enough for everyone to realize something had changed. Then without mercy, the lizards changed their focus from the object, to the group of fighters.

Two lunged for Tendou immediately. She dodged, but one caught her arm with a spear. Without Tenma to react for her, her ability to maneuver was slipping. She yelped in pain as the spear tore through her, leaving an inch deep gash which--in her slender arms--cut down almost to the bone.

Tenma saw this and lunged at the lizard who had injured her sister and singed him in half with a well placed fire attack. She moved closer to her sister so she could fend off all those attacking them both of them.

Tendou put a shaking hand over her arm in an attempt to mend it with her chakra. She had never completed her medical nin training, so she could not do a perfect job, but it was a start.

Tenma was having a tough time with her own lizard men, let alone protecting Tendou as well. Her fire attacks were beginning to weaken visibly.

Three lizard men even broke off from the group and attacked Vena, who had no means for fending them off. She managed to grab hold of one of their spears and wrench it away, but actually killing with such a weapon was new to her, so it took some getting used to.

Seven lunged toward Grave, knowing he was a bigger threat to their obtaining the object. Two of these came from behind.

Five attacked Fisk from behind. They had seen those that attacked from the front be batted away by the huge tree trunk, and seemed to be learning finally.

Four more attacked D.

No lizard went for the old man. He was already dead.
