Darius walked back in whistling holding the first aid kit and popped a thermometer into her mouth."just keep relaxing don't mind me." he took out some some alchohol wipes and started cleaning the wound.

"Ack!" Kiro shot up and pulled her legs close to her chest. The alcohol swaps had hurt her and she had been quit to react. She looked down at her shins and realized that the whole reason it was swollen was because of some scraps and it looked like stuff was in them. She knew darius was trying to help, but it still hurt. "Ummm... let me put it on... it doesnt hurt as much when i do it...." She sighed. She remembered the many times her brother had tried to help and how one time he had said that if she put it on it wouldnt hurt her as much. It was a complete lie but it convinced her that it wouldnt hurt that much and in her mind she believed it. So it would work, like any other mind game.

Kiro did it carefully and very slowly. It hurt, stung more then usual and she started to wonder whether or not what her brother had said was true. When she was little it worked, but now.... it didnt. Surprisingly her cuts opened up due to the fact she had taken so long and it started to bleed. Kiro just put the swab to the side and sighed.

Darius grabbed a towel and wiped up the blood from the cut."think of something else while i do it alright trust me it wont hurt as much." he said taking out another swap

Kiro just flopped over onto the bed and closed her eyes. She couldnt think of anything else but at the least she could deal with the pain. She bit her lip and waited. Waited for that ever-so-stinging pain that would annoy her and feel like it was burning down to her bone.
"Hurry..." She whispered.

"done" Darius said with a smile and grabbed a wool bandage and taped it over the wound with medical tape and patted her on the head."told you it works."

Kiro looked at it. She was surprise it hadnt hurt that much and started to move it from side to side to see if she was mobile. It hurt but it would work.
"Thank you..." She whispered as she sat up again.

"Im use to no one hearing or caring about what i say.." She said with not even a hint of hesitation in her voice. She was so use to it. No one had ever truly listened to anything she had ever said. Darius seemed different though and she instantly felt the regret of giving him such a disrespectful tone. "Im sorry."

"its alright don't be yourself up about it." Darius said with a smile and handed her the bottle of water. Sitting down next to her he turned on the t.v and went to the news.

Kiro took the bottle and after some time found herself just looking at it. She was thirsty but for some reason she didnt open the bottle.... She sighed and leaned back, watching the television. A warning came up on the screen and her picture soon took its place beside it.
"s**t! They would really go that far?"

"what do you mean?" Darius said his muscels tensing knowing this wasn't good. He continued to watch scared for himself and his new friend.

"My family sold me to a Buyer... I guess the buyer really wanted a pure girl...." Kiro threw off any blankets and stood up. She started to gather her things quickly as fear entered her. How far would they go? What if they found her with Darius?

"what are you doing calm down..."Darius said grabbing her shoulder."look you need your rest im not letting you outta my site....so far i think of us as really good friends...and when i have really good friends i don't let them go on the street." He said looking her dead in the eyes.
