Im VERY satisfied with the 109 dub.

I think that Sakura sounded less believeable and more desperate. But she was supposed to sound desperate (according to databooks), so I'm really glad she sounded that way.
I have to say, I barely ever cry for 109, and they made me BAWL. XD First from the sadness of the scene, to the happiness of how well Kate and Yuri did.
This episode really shows how much the voices have improved since the beginning.
I'm impressed and proud. heart

Yes, Kate and Yuri were excellent indeed. <3 I was bawling from the point where Sakura was pleading with Sasuke... cry When Sasuke said, "Sakura...thank you for everything," I just melted... Thank you, Yuri!! :'D

I like both versions equally--Noriaki Sugiyama did as excellent as Yuri did, in my opinion.
Heartbreaking scene. Watching it last night made me more attached to SasuSaku than ever.

I only watched that one part of the episode, though. I didn't have time to watch all of it, but I will later, and then I'll probably watch the japanese version to compare them just for fun (Since it's been a long time since I heard that episode in japanese).
It didn't make me cry like the ZabuzaxHaku scene, but I did get teary eyed. cry Kate did a WONDERFULL job. I thought it was PERFECT.
Then again, I pretty much knew she would be awesome since the Zabuza ark when Sakura was crying over Sasuke, because I thought she did an EXCELLENT job at sounding realistic then. Crying is NOT easy to do in voice acting.
I've heard many people fail at it. Kate really suprised me.
And yes, she does deserve capslock.
It was kinda funny, while I was listening to the good-bye scene, I actually heard a bit of Arietta in there. ninja And for those who don't know, Arietta is from the videogame, Tales of the Abyss. And while she is done by the same voice actor, she pretty much sounds nothing like Sakura.
It's really amazing what these voice actors can do. It's only a shame most roles they play don't allow them to show off their real talent, like doing accents. *LOVES Yuri's accents* xDD;
Oh, and of course Yuri was great in his part, too~ <3
Although Sasuke wasn't the one dishing out his heart --Well... he wasn't holding it in his hands like Sakura, atleast-- so I don't have much to say about it.
Well, I could go on about how Yuri was excellent at making Sasuke as emotionless and uncaring as possible... but that's not really the same, you-know?

That ruined the moment.
XD;
Damnit, i'm so used to their japanese versions, it sounded so weird to me.
The first time I saw it, I cried. But I get a little bored the second time XFD;

The Jap and Eng versions are good in their own individual way. And either way, they both made my heart squeeze. Yuri and Kate did the scene very well. And so did Noriaki and Chie. The English version was more melancholy, while the Japanese version sounded more desperate.

Okay, so apparently this was said MONTHS ago. But I didn't go to Anime Vegas, so sue me.
ANYWAY. I was watching a recording of the Naruto panel at Anime Vegas on YouTube, and beside the fact that those guys never fail to make me laugh, I heard they were going to try getting through the fillers as fast as possible to start on Shippuuden sometime possibly mid/late 2008 (If I heard correctly). >:O
I was so excited~ 'cause I really don't want to sit through 2 years of fillers! T___T

They did get into a mild discussion about why Sasuke's leaving, but no one said he was emo I don't think..
