He watched Ian and Jamie as he finished up all the plates to pass out, when he saw the familiar beautiful face of Kyrin. "Oh! Ky, you're just in time, I have breakfast ready." He was right in her finishing up then. But Tristan and Jaydn weren't with her... didn't they want breakfast? Well hopefully she didn't put too much heat on the new guy. Nori felt nervous himself when he first came in social contact with Kyrin, so he knew how intimidating she could be.

Ian perked up a bit. "Really? He's cute? Hee..." Ian put away the dish that he had been cleaning. "Ah...You're cutting off your hair and dying it black?" He looked away from Jamie and concentrated on something else less interesting. He quietly muttered, "But...um...I like you hair longer...It looks good on..you." Ian was busy concentrating on the random floor tile, until Kyrin walked in. He nodded at her, "Um...H-hi...Kyrin. Are you here for breakfast?" Try to be nice. You have to work for her. We got off on the wrong foot so be kind.. She's a bit scary but I think...we...can get along?

That Nori had chosen to leave Bella alone in the ballroom was perhaps the smartest decision Bella had seen the crossdresser make. Didn't want to really talk to him anyway. Bella stood up, thinking the ballroom empty until she realized that Osiris had continued to sit dutifully still by the throne while everything had happened. Bella, having no great liking for the cat, retreated back into the shadows of her mind. There was no reason for her to be out at the moment and if there was no reason for it, she had no intention of staying on the surface longer than she had to. Izzy can deal with the people. I have some thinking to do.
Izzy felt like she had just woken up from a very short nap. Rubbing her eyes to clear away the bleariness, she looked about the room, realizing with a little surprise that only Osiris remained. Where did everyone go? Far from being upset about her memory lapse, Izzy only felt disappointed. Not again... For a long time, Izzy would have moments where she couldnt remember what she had been doing earlier. At first, it scared her to not know but now she just saw it only as an adventure that was regretfully missed. Excluding the one time a few months ago where she had regained herself and found herself in great pain without knowing the cause, Izzy usually found that all she missed was a bit of talk that probably wouldn't have interested her anyway.
Going over to Osiris and scratching him behind the ears briefly, Izzy stated, "I'm gonna go look for Ky." Bending a little, she planted a small kiss on the great panther's nose, her now fairly dry hair falling forward a little. Straightening back up, Izzy tucked her hair behind her ears, thinking to herself, I should put my hair up later.
Turning and making her way across the ballroom, Izzy stepped out into the foyer. Starting towards the stairs with the thought that perhaps Kyrin would be in her room, Izzy instead saw the girl in the doorway to the kitchen, Kyrin's back to Izzy.
Izzy began to walk to Kyrin, ready to envelope her in a hug when she became distracted by a subtle glimmer out of the corner of her eyes. Switching her line of vision to look down a hallway, Izzy at once recognized Lily and a silver haired girl she hadn't seen in what seemed like ages. Fiore! Instantly changing directions, Izzy walked over to the pair of girls, exclaiming excitedly when she was close, "Hello!" It had been forever since the last time Izzy had talked to either of them and she didn't want to lose this opportunity if one of them decided to disappear again.

Kyrin smiled at Nori but didn’t reply to the comment about breakfast. Although the food looked and smelled really good, Ky still had things she needed to get done before she could sit down and eat. That and she couldn’t leave Jaydn in the room alone with Tristan for long, she was afraid that they might try and injure one another, or Jaydn might say something totally out of line. Kyrin didn’t move from her position on the door frame as her attention turned to Ian. When Ian had said “Really? He’s cute?”, Kyrin’s was completely confused. It still threw her off a little with half the men in the house talking about other men, but she was curious as to who Ian was calling cute. Who the hell is he thinking about? She thought as he moved on to the subject of James’ hair. “Not breakfast.” She said slowly, “Do any of you happen to speak another language?”

Once Nori heard her request, he jumped on the opportunity to be helpful. He wasn't sure why of course she was requesting such a thing at this time, but it didn't matter much if he could put himself to use." Oh, yes! Other than English, I know German. " he nodded. Actually, he felt more comfortable with German than he did with English. He used to know Japanese when he lived with his mom, but that was when he was five years old, so his memories of her, along with the language, had long since faded.

"I speak a bit of French," Jamie offered, smiling. He hadn't had an excuse to use that in a while, his ability to speak French with near fluency. And besides, he hadn't felt useful in a while. Everyone here was so into the idea of being a mafia, of having something to belong to. Jamie felt like an intruder, a mooch, living under their roof with nothing to show for it. "If thats of any use to you."

Ian blinked. Another language? Ian nodded, "Um...I'm fluent in Spanish..." During his high school years, Ian had taken inside and outside Spanish language courses. Back then, he had believed that he would need it for his accounting and banking majors in college. Ian's eye twitched at Jamie's comment. Jamie had taken French in high school and in college as well. But...in college...that's where Jamie had met that French exchange student and...they...Ian shook his head. No. Now was not the time. Especially when things were going so well...

“Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, Swahili, Chinese, Arabic, and I'm working on Japanese.” Tristan’s languages went through Kyrin’s head, as the people in the kitchen had a small list between them. Kyrin was astonished at the fact that they all seemed to be fluent in at least one language. Kyrin herself hadn’t had anyone in the mafia that could speak anything but Japanese before her additions. Isabella could speak only English, Craig, though he could understand some Japanese, could speak none at all, and Kyrin couldn’t even remember how much Japanese Felix had retained through the years. Kyrin spoke Japanese on a regular basis with her father, who seemed more traditional then she thought she could ever be. Her aunt didn‘t much like the fact that Kyrin didn‘t go around with extreme pride in her Japanese heritage, but Kyrin was half white and didn‘t see much need in playing up either side; that was only the case unless it would get her something though. Setting her attention back to the men, curiosity made Ky ask, “When was the last time you spoke these languages?”

Ian thought for a while. "Um...Well, I still study it in my free time....Using it...I usually have to use it when being the middle-man in weapons trading. Oh! And Mexican restaurants I use it then too. Buuut....That's not...important right now...Anyways, about a month ago...was the most recent weapons trading...So...Yeah..." Ian shrugged. Did she need it for some mediation or translations? Ian hoped that he could be of some service somehow...After all, he had to prove his worth to his new boss.

Jamie smiled. "This morning. I usually write in French, to keep my things secret." He eyed Ian, knowing that the other man had tried to get into Jamie's thoughts before. Being at least bilingual had been important under his father's syndicate, all people he had working under him in that life had spoken at least one other language. Jamie himself understood some degree of Spanish and Italian, but he didn't consider himself fluent, as he could not easily converse in either form. French, however, he was very skilled at, to the point where he used his hardly legible handwriting and the language to keep his thoughts from others.

Nori blinked. " I've been speaking it since I was 6 and moved to Germany. I still speak it frequently." He said it casually, with curiousity in his voice. Kyrin was getting to something, ...something for all three of them? Well, at least it was interesting to find out that the others knew a bit of cultural speech. French? Spanish? It would be cool to hear it spoken sometime, if he had the chance to hear it. He knew that in America, German was considered weird, or ugly, so it wouldn't be as pretty as the other's, but Nori would speak it if he had to, although it was a bit embarassing to him.

Kyrin nodded as she heard that the lot was keeping up with their languages, “I need to test this new comer. He claims fluent in a great number of languages.” Kyrin didn’t have to add that she didn’t trust the new man, she figured it to be implied. Smoothing out her shirt, she looked at the men again, her attention went to Nori, “I know you just made breakfast, but I find this to be a little more important.” Kyrin, though hungry, didn’t really enjoy eating, she didn’t know why but it had never been something she had put much importance on, and as it was she was feeling a little queasy. Kyrin needed to test Tristan, and she figured that by testing him in three of the languages she could get a pretty good feel of his competence. Kyrin didn’t really feel like asking her mafia to do something work related, so instead she said, “Now is a better time then never.” With that she left her place in the door frame and began her way down the hall again, simply expecting the others to follow.

Jamie smirked. So this was what she was to have him do with this knowledge. Test the newcomer? This could really only be fun. He stood from his chair and walked after her, quiet, wondering about the new one. He had seen him briefly, and thought he was mildly good looking. The more he considered it, the more amusement this was shaping to be.

Ian just listened to Kyrin intently. He had already eaten so it didn't bother him much that he had to leave the kitchen. Mafia orders came first no matter what. He had been taught this as soon as he was entered into Jamie's dad's mafia. Despite the importance of the mission, Ian couldn't help feel excited to meet this new boy. Especially because he was supposed to be cute in Jamie's terms. Jamie and Ian had veeery similar tastes in men so Ian could guess that this boy was pretty good looking. Ian swore to beat Jamie to the boy and skipped off to follow Kyrin.

"I see!" Nori nodded. So she really was still testing that poor guy... Nori looked at the others first, before abandoning the food and wordlessly following after her, quickening his pace to catch up beside her down the hall. He was actually wishing the new guy good luck, hoping that his own German wouldn't be to complicated for him too understand. After all, Nori, like Kyrin, didn't know if this guy was genuine or not.
