Ritanya

PostPosted: Wed Mar 21, 2007 10:54 am

Ritanya smiled at Skrayper and Krystic, before turning back to Apakoh. She relaxed and let her wings unfurl, seeing Apakoh's nephew sleeping. She turned and looked to the dragoness. "I wonder if more people will come later... my experience is that people aren't active around here until pretty late..." She smiled, just happy to have Apakoh nearby, especially seeing Skrayper and Krystic together.

"Perhaps...but now's just as good as a time to sit back and enjoy the music and atmosphere...especially for those who are snoozing through their naps"
~she chuckles quietly as she gazes towards Kyla, Ni 'ari, and Mulberry~

Enchanting Apakoh

Ritanya smiled, gently placing her hand upon Apakoh's as they sat there. It was a wonderful day... all her days just seemed brighter now. The problems of the past, the enemies that had come to be a part of her life these days... all seemed distant at the moment.

~Feeling Ritanya's hand upon hers caused her to smile. Ritanya looked more happy and relaxed than she ever saw her....and it made her feel so good inside. She gazed up at the sky as she listened to the music, songs of old that ears of this centuary rarely hear...it made her feel at home~

Skrayper simply smiled at Apakoh, and went back to playing his lute. It brought back memories of the Sleeping Dragon Inn... and when he first courted Krystic. He could not help but feel incredibly nostalgic, partially wishing his old friends could join them... but happy to be meeting new ones.

Wyrrd looked around at the two couples, all happy together, and then at the stragglers napping and playing music...she chuckled to herself...again singing a simple and sentimental song...sentimental not to herself, but to those in love...
If It's a Rose (Then It Will Bloom) ((Another song that's hard to find))

One eve as I was walking,
I chanced by a strange old man.
He was planting in his garden,
there was soil upon his hands.
Slowly he did approach me,
his eyes revealed the moon,
and he said with a voice of earth and root,
"If it's a rose, then it will bloom"

Somehow he'd sensed my troubles,
which lived like vipers inside my chest.
I feared my new love might leave me,
this ache would not let me rest.
He said "Your heart is so filled with you,
that for love, there isn't much room.
Just take care and tend the seedlings,
if it's a rose, then it will bloom."

"If it's a rose, then it will bloom.
You need not push a river,
it flows fine on it's own.
You need not seek out a lost love,
if it's real, it will find it's way home.
You need not fear the wind and rain,
the sun will always come pierce the gloom,"
and as I turned to leave, he said once more,
"If it's a rose, then it will bloom."
if it's a rose, then it will bloom.

((I HEART FLOGGING MOLLY! Just don't have too many of their songs))

(( Aye, me too! I'll post it up again once your song's done, no worrys.))

As Wyrrd's song came to a close, Grok stood, swaying more than a bit. He had remembered an old song, told to him by his orcish mother before she had left him. Guzzling down some more brew, he burst into the song with vigor. (( http://youtube.com/watch?v=JePJNCrxpcY ))

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Five hundred years like Gelignite
Have blown us all to hell
What savior rests while on his cross we die
Forgotten freedom burns
Has the Shepard led his lambs astray
to the bigot and the gun

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

I watch and stare as Rosin`s eyes
Turn a darker shade of red
And the bullet with this sniper lie
In their bloody gutless cell
Must we starve on crumbs from long ago
Through these bars of men made steel
Is it a great or little thing we fought
Knelt the conscience blessed to kill

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

Ah, but maybe it`s the way you were taught
Or maybe it`s the way we fought
But a smile never grins without tears to begin
For each kiss is a cry we all lost
Though there is nothing left to gain
But for the banshee that stole the grave
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies

I sit in and dwell on faces past
Like memories seem to fade
No colour left but black and white
And soon will all turn grey
But may these shadows rise to walk again
With lessons truly learnt
When the blossom flowers in each our hearts
Shall beat a new found flame

Must it take a life for hateful eyes
To glisten once again
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies
Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess
Singin' drunken lullabies
Singin' drunken lullabies

Wyrrd let out a howl of laughter as she clapped to Grok's song.

Cera was happy to play along to this tune...she was glad to see Grok's spirit liven up a bit.

Krystic clapped along, but she was not entirely up for dancing at the moment. The auras about the area entrigued her, and she was happy to watch them dance about with the music.

Grok grinned, waving as he collapsed yet again on the soft ground. Perhaps, he had just had a bit too much to drink. As the sun was slowly spinning around, Grok agreed. Maybe just a bit.

Wyrrd started to point and laugh at the drunken giant. Besides Orcish Ale, she had brewed up one of the strongest drinks in the area, and it too was starting to take it's effect on the gryphon born woman...clearly seen when she watched Grok fall.
