Mene's gone back to the old server for me rolleyes
It's rolled itself back by about 4 days, and is telling me there's only 6 people online rofl
So i'm stuck now!
I've sent Mike an email about it but i don't know when he'll read it, so no gold earning for me now, and maybe no mods online right now either.. ninja

Oh noes, Jelly, that sucks! I hope they can figure out waht the deals is with that. I mean, it's weirdness.

I'm getting the old server stuff at the top of the site.

Well...

Mike first off started a whole heap of trouble with Gaming Gutter. which is a hackers site. A lof of the people on there were offsite trading Mene's lovely V-Day items a crown and so on. Mike went in there and started causing trouble by issuing threats and being a genral arsehole..

which understandably get GG's admin pretty mad, because he behaved in such an unprofessional manner. He caused so much trouble that they went to Josh and said either he goes or we take Mene down.

That was a fraught time i can tell you, i end ed up staying up until 3 in the morning talking to Ryan who is one of GG's admin, because he couldn't get to talk to Josh half the time, Ryan though Josh was ignoring him, so had to explain that he, Ryan is in Australia, Josh is a school boy in England so it's going to be up at horrible o'clock on a week night sweatdrop

Ryan's saying things to me like, do you want me to take Mene down right now so you know i can do it confused NO!!

I started asking questions in the staffroom because it was evident that nothing was going to be said about the matter unless i brought it up.
Mike was being a jerk saying that he'd done nothing wrong and these kids should grow up blah blah.
He did ask us all what we thought of the situation though, so he got long responses full of words like arrogant, cocky, unprofessional etc..
that actually humbled him for a whole 2 days..then his ego started to reassert itself, even after he'd been demoted back down to Mod.

THEN!! Vanity started making a fuss about Aeris 'raping' banned accounts for items and auctioning them off.
now the auction that Aeris is running is the result of another user scamming a notorious offsiter out of their hoard of crowns and V-Day items, but Aeris had nothing to do with retrieving them, so she was puzzled and upset by this Vanity's attitude. so she questioned him further and he said he had proof that Mike has stolen another users items..

Mike had banned this user, then gone into her account and removed everything, THEN...taken screen shots and shown her what he'd done...and i've seen these screenshots so i know this is true, empty inventories and the last trades on both this girl's main account and her mule were with Mike..

He didn't even deny it either, he said he'd asked Josh about taking event items from banned accounts and selling them back to the users, but Josh hadn't got back to him on it, so he'd gone ahead and done it anyway. Seemed to think he was intitled to do what he liked..plus the fact that he was supposedly giving these items away made it ok in his eyes.

The fact that Mike had 3 accounts, with 80K in gold spread between them makes me doubt that he was giving these items away..

Anyway once all this was uncovered there was a massive bust up between Mike and Aeris, he came back online to find she'd banned one of his mules you see, so he started throwing accusations at her, one of them, and this is priceless!! saying she was abusing her position!!! talk about hypocrite.

SO..Aeris quit the team in fury and disgust and Mike quite calmly said he'd be willing to take his old position back on, pretty much as if nothing had happened..

Little Josh didn't seem to know what the hell to do, poor kid. He was half believing what Mike was saying about Aeris, just because he didn't want to lose Mike because he relied on him a lot and he'd trusted him so much.
i had with a chat with him via PM and he just didn't know what to do. in the ned he asked each staff member individually i think about whether they thought Mike should stay.

I told him in no uncertain terms that Mike should go. i said i had no wish to work with someone who was so egotistical and who i couldn't trust. And if he didn't go then i would, as would Aeris, Dare and probably Chibi too. So it was a simple case of arithmatic, either you lose 1 staff member or 4..

So Mike was demoted back to a normal member, and spent the rest of the night causing trouble, harrassing Aeris in the forums, and encouraging the spam troll that miraculously appeared as soon as there was no-one with banning capabilities anymore..funny that huh?

Then he tried to sell the passwords for the V-day and Easter NPC accounts on Gaming Gutter, after that we finally convinced josh to ban him.
and now we've seen that he's tried to sell his own account off on Furcadia, for $200...

So there you have it..

pretty much the whole sorry tale neutral

It seems to me that Mike must have thought the users stupid. Many questioned how it was possible that there was gold in that large amount and how he came to acquire it in his own account. Granted the VDay items are incredibly inflated and selling one could net 40K easily but unless you post day in and day out at 20G per post and have other people donate to you, you aren't going to make that much to even be able to afford it (unless you hoard king's crowns and sell them off, which I'm sure people do).

I happened to see the drama unfold with the spammer late that night and I also saw Mike's last thread. The joy's of being a lurker, rofl

It makes sense now why Vanity is pushing so hard to get the "banned" member back claiming she did nothing wrong or better yet, she is so sorry about everything.

Sadly it is a kid's site run by kids. I don't mean that in a bad way either. I think that overall the staff is doing a phenomenal job building it and so forth but I think that this is just the start of the high school drama.

Oh, and off topic a bit...did kiarakiara get rebanned when Aeris took the job back? I know she had originally banned her and supposedly when Aeris stepped down kiarakiara had talked to Josh who unbanned her and now I haven't seen her. I hope she is banned.

wow - it seems like I missed a lot - it's a shame one of the top staff members had to go and do something like that.

It really is childish - I can't imagine having to deal with all that.

yeah all good fun!!

but luckily we kept it all pretty much under wraps.

and it is all pretty much because the staff are younger and so more open to temptation and ego trips. and on the flip side, with josh in particular, a bit panic stricken when i comes to dealing with the fall out..

hopefully that's the last of the drama for now though!
