he doesn't mean any offense with his actions, he truly didn't, but he was a horrid recluse and he even flinched if Akiya tapped his shoulder sometimes. The only one he tried not to flinch so much around was Reika because she needed him to be able to touch her and hold her should she be sad or upset. It was still rather hard, but he was making that effort. But, he did offer his arm to her before they headed back the way they came. He wasn't a complete a*****e.. just sometimes his manners were a bit misplaced.

"Chu? Tis the name of yer maid? I had wandered what it was... yet I didnae think it wise to ask her..." He guided her back to where Arkli was still waiting for them, giving unhappy warks because he had to keep trying to get the massive droplets of whatever off his feathers and it wasn't working out as he was hoping. Feeling bad for the bird, Koni promised to feed him tons of greens later before he whispered his request to him. Arkli looked more attentive as he took them to where he had seen Chu disappear off to. "Here? Tis where she is?"

"Wark!"

Koni looked over at Hayaharu and pointed down this different alleyway. "He says she went down here."

Arkli seemed to like the affection given muchly, for he leaned into her touch with a happy wark. The lights on at that home did make it a lot easier to find where they needed to go to and Koni only shoved his hands back into his cloak again, his nose wrinkling faintly. If he smelled later, he was going to be so damn unhappy. Plus, he needed to let Reika out of the pack lest she get cold or feel like she couldn't breathe in there. "Ah... I see..." He wasn't oging to ask why anyone would name a person Chu. But it wasn't his place to inquire about such things.

Seeing that look that was given to him, he nodded and headed inside, looking at Arkli and telling him to try to find a place that was reasonably dry until he called for him again. Watching him disappear, he then followed her into the house. He knew the bird would be fine on his own.

The banter between the two was a bit amusing to him, but his facial expression didn't change in the least. There was some other meaning behind this ornament and now he was a bit worried about asking about it. Most likely, he would be fearing this answer. What was with the strange looks? He knew that he didn't lookd ecent like a drenched deer but honestly....

His ears twitched as Hayaharu went off to change into something else and he tilted his head in bafflement over Chu's statement. "Thank ye... I think..." Hesitating for a moment, he carefully took off his pack before he took off his cloak, his white shirt rather damp underneath. "..... I suppose it couldn't hurt to take one. Tis better than trying to find akiya so I can go home to take it... ye have locks on yer doors, aye?"

He would have to ask Chu to look over Reika while he did so.. which made him open the pack and take her out. She had fallen asleep somehow, bt he was relieved to see she was all right.

"Good." least she had that kind of sense. Some women didn't.. so he had heard... Following her up the flight of stairs, he looked around a bit. The place looked nice... "Uh.. sure.. could ye look after Reika for me while I bathe? I don't want her running about and getting lost or hurting herself..."

The woman was entirely too happy and he wasn't sure if it was a good thing as he set Reika back onto her little bed and then worked on heading over to the screen so he could undress himself. Finding a towel to wrap about his hips, he hesitated at the sounds of humming but hoped it wasn't int he same room. This.. was most uncomfortable. And his ears were twitching in a way that meant he had a bad feeling about this. But he took a deep breath and went into the room anyway.

He just wanted a bath. It wasn't a bad thing to want.

The unfamiliar voice caused her to stir and sleepily open her eyes. Huh? Where are they now? Where's Koni-papa? Looking up, she made out the features of Hayaharu's maid and looked baffled. "Why is he funny?"

The humming was getting... please don't tell him it was what he was fearing it was. It wasn't like Koni had a flabby body. Actually, he would have comitted some sense of suicide if he had gotten fat ever, but he wasn't used to other people seeing him without his clothing. Standing there rather dumbly, he froze when he saw Hayaharu come out from behind a curtain, dressed in a very.. way too light robe. s**t! The two saw each other at the exact same second and he was glad he didn't drop his towel or anything but he sighed heavily as she walked away. ".......... gonna hurt someone for this......"

Feeling rather embarassed and more tired than he wanted to let on, he made sure that she had really wandered away before he took the bath. It was still rde to refuse such hospitality... though now he wanted to drown himself underwater...

When hayaharu came in, she struggled to focus her blurry eyes on her, baffled over what was going on. nothing was truly making any sense to her but she tried to sit up and rubbed at her eyes. "M-Maybe... but.. where are we?" She wanted to know that first and foremost before she looked around. "Where's Koni-papa?"

Meanwhile, Koni was enjoying the water, now that no one was there to disturb him from bathing and he didn't have to share. No offense, but it would have been rather awkward if Hayaharu had stayed. He couldn't help wondering if she had been.. wait.. no stop the thought! It didn't matter what she or anyone else thought of his body but he didn't want to disgust anyone either.

Sighing heavily, he sunk more under the water so that his nose was just over the top and he sighed, bubbles appearing from his mouth. Akiya was right. He fretted over unimportant things too much.

"Oooooh.. good. I'm sure Koni-papa is most grateful for a chance to bathe. He's picky about being wet and cold." The Geisha was speaking kindly to her, which made her feel more at ease and so she too looked around this place as Hayaharu carried her. Yue carefully climbed onto her back to attempt a better look too. "Tis a really pretty place... and tea sounds wonderful, thank ye very much!"

When the box was set down again, she carefully climbed out, sliding down a little slide along one of the sides so she could get down and then went over to a cup of tea, Yue rolling after her. Sitting down, she waited for the tea to cool itself. "I was curious about yer city... it sounds rather pretty... but I didn't mean to upset ye about before. In my dream.. I just saw a really big shadow that looked like the place on yer fan... I dinnae know what it means.. but.. yer city sounds really fascinating. A-And.. if tis okay.. I would like to hear about it... if y-ye'd wanna tell me..."

"Ah, all right then." Seeing how she was dressed, she understood the reasoning behind what Hayaharu told Chu and blinked as the maid hurried off to do as ordered. "Koni-papa must be really tired if he's taking this long... normally, he takes less time than this..." Her brows furrowed with worry. had he not been getting enough sleep again?

Koni's ear swivelled at the message and his head slowly turned to look at Chu. He was most displeased with her little game, because he could only assume Chu was behind him being in the bathroom the same time as Hayaharu, but he only nodded before he stood up completely. It had been a nice bath.. one he had almost fallen asleep in, which was a rather bad sign. Once he was certain Chu was gone, he removed the sopping towel from his waist and spent a bit twisting all the water he could out of it and back into the bath. Who was there to look now? He could be bare if he wished.. right?

Well nevermind if it wasn't. Too late for that, in his book. Locating another towel, he set about briskly drying himself off before he moved back behind the screen and took note of the robes. His clothing must not be ready yet. Of little matter. Putting one on, he was glad to see that it did cover everything as it should so he deemed it safe enough to head back down the stairs again. Where were they? Looking around, he heard Yue saying kupo so he followed the sound until he found them. "Do forgive the robe.. but I have nothing else to wear til yer maid is finished with my clothing..."

Ooooh she had never seen Koni wearing a robe before. It was amusing to say the least.
