Soon he ordered cleaned and warpped for the ceremony, Crecens was ready for her maiden voyage. He went and got a pass and after the bell rang he was at hallways of the campus looking for her and ami who was curious to see

Its the day of her graduation and rather than preparing for the ceremony like many of her same year classmates, Charis is in her dorm room. The door is open, as per the school rule for when one has visitors over. For she does. Its her good friend of two years, Ami. The two of them are pouring over one of Ami's text books, the larger girl is frantic, worried about how she is going to get her tests done. Charis, a few inches smaller in stature as well as appearing smaller in spirit is sitting, much more calmly than her friend. Out side of her window the familiar bubbling of the fountain can be heard coming through the window. Its waters catching and reflecting light in such a way that her room has been painted with glistening rainbows. The only thing more tranquil than her world around her, is Charis. She is gently guiding her friend through some difficult problems, her demeanor infinitely patient and helpful. A lie that hides the way her heart beats faster at an loud sound, anxious and nervous during her last day here.
And yet for all of this activity the one place that is most active right now, is right inside the head of that littler girl. Her eye, that highly sophisticated computer is working fast. During its second year at the school, while Charis's mind and body slept it found a way onto the computers. From there it was able to act on its own, like a small invisible captain. Adelaide was learning who was arriving and who was leaving. When her 'partner' as she likes to refer to Charis, woke up to discover what had happened. Well Adelaide's freedom had been greatly reduced. Now, whenever possible or in times of utmost necessity, Adelaide finds her freedom restricted. Her partner discovered that if she keeps the eye covered with a piece of cloth, eye patch specifically, that the computer has no way of contacting anything else. But today it is free. Adelaide is free to learn on her own that Seisuke's arrival is no longer something to plan for but has happened and that a logical assumption would have him looking for Charis. The computer stops for a moment, its lights and actions coming to a complete halt. Out of some piece of pettiness she decides not to inform Charis of this fact.

He would walk hall after hall after hall. Not finding her in any of her studying rooms finding it rare that maybe he was on the last day of class. Logical will seem since the classrooms are rather empty. Then he dawned his logistic action to find her. He went into a corner and his eyes went white "Byakugan!" veins protude from his eyes and now everything was for him to see. After a good walk he found something odd and then he squeaked coughing and composing rapidly and his eyes returning to normal. He rushed faster than ever possible soon he was on her floor and slowly walked toward the room while they were distracted he went and with a bouquet of flower he knocked on the door as he entered "Hello?"

When he knocks and walks in after his, almost discovery (maybe) in the halls the scene has changed from what it was moments ago. Charis's head is bent over a book while she flips through the pages, a few more open within ease reach of her hand. A breeze travels in from the window and without looking up, she carefully eases the pages down. At first glance nothing about her had changed, she is a bit darker skinned, but not much. Her hair of course has been kept cut and now the longer strands are hiding her eyes. But before he can get a chance to interrupt them Ami looks up.
She had been sitting with her back to the door, Charis's traditional seat, while her friend had been perched on the end of her bed. Not realizing who he is, or who he is to Charis she blinks slowly. Her eyes are black and her skin has a healthy glow, obviously someone who is very active outside. Both of her eyes blink and she frowns only to have her tirade interrupted by Charis. Looking up from the book she points out where Ami has been getting things wrong. Her voice soft but sure when she explains how her friend should be doing things. Seconds later though they're not there.
Ami has snatched the book from Charis and dragged her out into the hall right past Seisuke. There she holds onto Charis's shoulder and is holding her directly before her. "Look.. I should probably be going, you're going to be busy getting ready to go and that big party is being thrown for ya. Just... don't forget me alright?" Inside the room there wouldn't be any sound of a spoken reply. But he could probably hear the book drop to the floor and the rustling of school uniforms. He might even be able to hear Charis whisper a few sentences. Moments later Ami is heard running down the hall.
In the hall Charis smiles softly, watching until she can no longer see her friend of only a few short years leave. With a deep breath a few seconds taken to wipe off her eyes she turns to re-enter her room. That is until a voice in her head halts her progress entirely. You know someone is there waiting for you right? "Is it another agent, Adelaide?" is the softly spoken question. To anyone in the hall they would only be able to hear Charis's side of the conversation.
The computer makes a rapid yet low toned chirping sound, her version of a scoff. No, its not someone here to recruit you. Its the one who put me in this empty socket of yours. Whereas she had been about to take a step, Charis now stops again, her eyes widening as disbelief and shock fill her facial features. Giving her small body the look of a dumbfounded child. Her voice is even softer than before, almost as if she doesn't know to trust the computer or not. "... Seisuke akri?"

He look at the whole ordeal surprised that he wasn't seen at all. He is a tall young man with a bouquet of precious flowers how unlikely to not be seen by two teenagers in college. Ironic in its execution he would have expected a shy hug or a punch to his shoulder playfully not that.
While he was composing for that manifesto, ignoring him that is he close and heard her talking to her friend which he assumed was the fabled Ami. Hidden from view he stayed until she gasped like it was informed to her that he has arrived to her dorm not only that but said in a rather sarcastic way as well.
He himself now thought it was the time to make himself the one that was searching and just arrived. His skill would provide it that he would seem oblivious that she was there and slowly his steps moved towards the desk which was ruffled with some documents here and there as well as pictures of her ventures which made him smile upon taking a closer look to it all.
Now that he was there and was six years after he leaving her it would be like very hard for him not to notice her development and attitude. he would sigh and speak to him "The flower has bloomed..." Not even noticing that he was on her range of view.
Too bad she is not an expert warrior or she would have seen this coming from a mile away. While he finished his sentence he would have appeared that he was behind her and with a single movement of his body, landed his hand on her shoulder. "Quite nostalgic isn't it Charis?"

There before her door way Charis stands on trembling feet. Her akri, the one she was so scared of leaving, so terrified that he might have found someone else to replace her, is here. Here in the one room that had been like her sanctuary, her little home for the past four years. On the desk he would be able to see an odd assortment of photographs. Some from her second year and others from only a few days ago. Most of the papers that are strewn about however, are not hers but Ami's. Things that the girl left behind in her haste. Next to the desk is a small suit case filled with what few mementos she has collected. Gifts from classmates, Ami and the sensei that had opened her home to the shy mermaid. But right on top, not yet wrapped is a first place trophy. Ami had insisted that she put it on display and she had, it was to be the last thing she secured. Now its surface gleams in the midday sun.
For a few moments Charis cannot move. Her feelings of shock, elation and fear still have not abated to the point where she can command the feet beneath her. Many times over the past years as she dreamed of this moment. The day, hour, nah the minuet that she would be reunited with her akri. And now that that time is now, she cannot move. Her bluegreen eyes close as she tries to find the courage within her. Memories of their time before she left helps, but none so much as the promise that he made to her.
Her first steps being taken she walks into the room, still in her uniform but without shoes. Those eyes which are already so wide, widen still more. Her desk! Its a mess. And he is looking at it! Fearful, she bites her bottom lip. A nervous gesture that has still remained. Her head is filled with so many worries. Her room is messy, he will think her a slovenly person. Both of her arms move, hands clasping before her as she prepares herself for whatever mood he may be in. Immediately slipping into old, old habits from her life before Seisuke.
Though not a solider, she can still control forces like the ones he does. Forces that exist outside of the physical body. Which is why, with her head bowed she can feel something strange. But it is Adelaide who gives voice to the discovery first. Two of them? How can you be thinking that? Logically, it should be impossible. But where the computer lives in a world of facts and truths, Charis knows better. Which is why she doesn't startle at the sudden pressure of his hand on her shoulder.
Instead Charis reacts as though, an immense amount of peace has come over her. Her eyes close as she relaxes, the tension and worry draining from her small frame. Her mouth which has closed, now parts again as she sighs relief. Although she has tried to make her dorm room feel at home, it was always missing something and now she knows what. With one of her mysteries solved, her lips curl into a small, shy smile. "Yes akri, it is." She won't turn around, even though everything inside of her is almost screaming at her to hold him, nor does she give voice to this new truth. He is her home.

Thinking this was a moment to remember, he takes a picture in his mind one that will last a lifetime and more. Trying not to scare but be happy that she accomplished so much in so little time, well as little as he could possibly think of. This was the truth that was passing through his mind. Yet a fleeting possibility that his heart which was filled with sadness over his loss with the elven dragoness gal Ziven being in the arms of other was being qualm ed by the sheer happiness of this moment right here. The moment that his friend and house companion achieved her dream. Also his heart has grown fond of the shy mermaid which had been helping in mending his scars lately with her quirks and innocent behavior despite of her burdens as a past slave.
He would not pry from anything and he loved the fact that he was seeing her achievements on the desk, shows pride on her hard work and he loved that new expression on her. Seeing the room being a bit messy he thought college kids are like that in the midst of their fleeting months of pure study. His hand would softly caress the wood of the desk and more thoughts came to his mind about it what future holds for them both and her moments together. He bets she is wanting to hug him and with a flick of his finger the copy that was behind her dissipates in a cloud of smoke as he then with a sigh full of content fill the otherwise silent room.
His steps were directed to her once more and again as a father to his child, he would embrace her in the most warmest of ways possible. Not letting go seizing this moment for posterity. Then he went bold with the shy mermaid and kissed her softly on her forehead. "It's been a while Charis and i see that you have accomplished what you dreamed and with the highest of regards and achievements. Please get ready i know your graduation is nearing and i don't wish for you the Top honor class student to be late to the ceremony."

Again he causes her to gasp. Not because the copy disappeared but because she had chosen wrong. The warmth that his copy had generated felt so warm and comforting that she thought for certain, this is her akri. And yet with so casual and simple a gesture he disappears to leave the true Seisuke in its place. Even now after attending such a prestigious school to learn highly sought after skills and knowledge, he is still so far above her. Her thoughts at that moment are simple, she will never be able to be as great as he is, but she can try.
Slowly she opens her eyes, just in time to watch him as he approaches her. Her nervousness and fear once again returning. It was one thing to stand with her back to him, but now there is no running. He would be able to see every feeling she feels, observe her emotions though her eyes. And though he may be filled with pride of her for her accomplishments, it is no more than she is feeling for herself. He does not look disappointed or saddened by what he sees. No, he seems to look glad and perhaps something else as well.
His arms wrap around her and for once she doesn't think. Doesn't ponder over what to do, she simply reacts. Her arms wrapping around his neck. The forehead that he has just kissed now resting on his shoulder as she holds him close. Giving silent thankful prayers to which ever deity has hidden her face for this moment, she begins to cry. Not cold, tormented tears of sadness but ones that would make her eyes shine and warm her cheeks. She is happy. Her voice trembling when she answers him. "Please akri, I am not top honor. They will not start without me, they have asked that I lead the ceremony in song."

All the more reason to get ready quickly, i want to see you singing is been a long time since i last heard you and frankly i been dying to hear more of your melodious voice. So ill be right outside you just get ready.
He would slowly stop embracing her to let her get ready and be ready for the ceremony. He doesnt wanna be the reason they started late so he slowly direct his steps to the hall were he waits for her to finish dressing and prepping up for the special event that she was appointed.

He sets her down and she stares at him while he leaves the room. She has waited four years to see him again, to be able to be in the same room with him and now he is leaving? For a few moments she stands there in dumbfounded silence. Only to have a high pitched ringing start in her head. Its Adelaide, just being herself. Are you going to sit there feeling sorry for yourself or are you going to get ready? The sooner this day is over then the sooner that you can go home... home with him.
There in the solitary confines of her room, she actually glares. Not at the computer in her head but at the floor. It isn't the first time that she wishes Adelaide didn't live in her own head. "Oh, quiet yourself, I know that I just..."
You just what? Thought that he had missed you as much as you had missed him? Don't be ridiculous, you heard his letters, he probably just misses having someone to talk to.
While they had been talking Charis was moving around the room. She needed some form of activity, something to keep her from either breaking down in frustration or just hitting her own head. And since she hasn't finished cleaning or packing it looks like thats the selected occupation of choice. Yet her movements around the room are jerky and she keeps dropping books or sturdy items with perhaps a little bit more force than is necessary. "Just be quiet, you're in my head remember not...", but she can't finish her sentence. As always when it comes to the subject of her akri she can't help but deviate from the topic a little bit.
Everything packed she would walk to the front door. Blushing a deep rose when she sees him standing there, he had probably heard every word! Well, her words at least. Avoiding his direct gaze she would slowly shut the door, needing a few moments of privacy while she changes for graduation. A transition which doesn't take her more than a few moments. For although she is a mermaid, creatures known for their vanity. This is not a sin that dwells within the heart of Charis. No. She only needs time to exchange her school robes for a graduation gown and cap. Feeling very self conscious she steps out of her room for the last time.
There half in the hall half out she stops, her hand still holding onto the door. Charis can't help but feel as if she is leaving a part of her behind. She grew up in the four years that she stayed in this room. She met a new friend and it was the location of a very long awaited reunion. Still there are bad memories. With a wistful look in her eyes she survey's the room once last time. Unable to shut the door without a final soft sigh. Out of her bags she pulls a small present and Ami's books and papers, which she left behind, leaving them in a stack by the door.

He would have a moment to go in aw at her dress and go there and kiss her this time on the lips. Now he knows she feels a deep attraction but is so shy to just say it. He has to admit that he too had grown very fond of her and it was time he would let go to the past and try a new future. So he thought a nice kiss would start it all.
"You know, you should tell whats on your mind. It seems that this event is not as important as it seems to be. Cheer up! we can talk more on the way there so please speak your mind."
He said with a smile like it was talking to his friend that was down but he has to admit a feeling in his stomach has been building up more that he carew to admit and maybe when they get home he would be able to show it more but for now he would endanger the moment that she so rightfully earned

Just as she is standing up and turning around, preparing to head for the auditorium as he had suggested, she is surprised by a kiss. One from him, willingly given in a new place than he had put the others. Always in the past he had held her, kissed her cheek or her forehead but never has he initiated a kiss on the lips. The one kiss like that they had shared had been from her to him and it was bestowed in a moment of fleeting courage before they parted. Now there is no fear of parting only one of welcomed rejoining.
"I have always spoken my mind to you akri, what is there that you wanted to talk about?" Although her words are spoken with a bit more courage and less shyness than they might have years ago. Her voice is still soft and at times faltering. But each word is pronounced clear and carefully. "No akri, you said so yourself. It is important but you cannot rush time. What will be will come when its meant to be."
As they walk down the hall she carries her bag before her. Both hands with their fingers curled around the straps. And for once the computer is silent, but this is for a reason which she may or may not reveal later. Normally such a prolonged quiet from her uppity self means that she is planning something. But for now Charis is too content to give it a second thought.

In the whirl wind of chaos that seems to be surrounding the festivities Charis is easily swept up among the preparers. Although badgered on all sides by people who are suggesting that she do something this way or that she declines all suggestions. For her, the song should stand alone, it doesn't need bright lights or any kind of fancy displays. And neither does she. Under her robe is a rather simple one, made of white cotton it has the look of some kind of ancient civilization. Its off the shoulder and covers her to the ground, even hiding her feet.
Above the gathered guests the lights flicker a few times to announce that the ceremony has begun and then nothing. All the lights have gone out, there is only one spot light left and its pointed to an empty spot on the stage. Slowly a melody of flutes is heard around the room. Their voices light and easy, joining in with them would be violins. But their melodies are soft for a figure has stepped into the light. Her body draped, hooded cloak cover her robes. Its true they are here at a school for progress. Where the latest technologies are studied and learned. Where yesterday's genius is gathered to nurture the seeds of tomorrows greatness. But they cannot forget the past.
That is why Charis has requested that this opening display of the schools importance and message be kept simple. In the ring of light she takes a deep breath, praying to her fallen deities for guidance and strength, courage and wisdom to carry her throughout her life. And then she is singing, using the full force of her voice in the large room. Seisuke has heard her sing but not like this. Now she is using every bit of strength that her body contains to project her thoughts into the gathered assembly. While she fills there head with feelings and thoughts of well being, peace and prosperity. The love of family and friends. Joy of good times and success, light has been filling the stage around her. Students from first year who have shown an affinity for song have been asked to stand behind her in a semi circle. Each one of them dressed in a simple white gown, very much like the one that Charis has on and each one of them holds a single candle.
Although singing to the entire room, Charis's eyes seek out Seisuke and when she sees him, she smiles wider in the middle of her song, hoping that he can feel the undercurrents that her magic gives to her voice. Perhaps now he will understand a little more about his long time friend. The song reaches its rise and is now falling. One by one the new students blow out their candles. Diminishing the light around Charis until the only light and the only voice left is her own. Her hands still clasped in front of her, head falling the light about her dims. Its brightness only disappearing when the fine note has finished sounding.
The lights return and there is nothing on the stage. Charis and her chorus have disappeared but in their place is the group of graduating students. A flock of scholars all wearing the same colored gowns, waiting for their diplomas and the right to say that they have succeeded. The dean steps forward to give her grand speech. Something that results in another wave of thunderous applause. Only once the noise has dimmed does she begin the rest of the ceremony. Calling students by name to come and receive their awards.
In the middle of the speech Charis manages to slip back into her seat towards the back. One that she chose herself. That way she won't be drawing too much attention to her reappearance and hopefully no one was looking for her to hard. When her name is announced, sixth in her year with a first place trophy to her name. She stands, walking slowly with more than a bit of nervousness shadowing her steps. Although she desperately wants to run and hide because she can feel everyone staring at her, she can't. Her smile to the dean is soft, but still she takes her diploma, bows as the rest and returns to her seat. There she will sit until the closing ceremonies.
