She grinned. He was paying. It was a good day!
"Then let's go! Those drinks aren't serving themselves!"

He had to agree with her, they wouldn't serve themselves.
A short while later, and without any incidences other than him leaning on her occasionally, they reached the bar. Of course, given the state he was in and the fact that she wasn't quite sober, obtaining the drinks was a bit of a delicate situation, but he managed to talk the bartender into providing them drinks.
Now, with a drink each, he smiled at her as he took a sip, his expression not changing as he did so.
"I'm Joe by the way, and you are.. ?"

"Covet."
She murmured, sipping the vodka and enjoying it's taste. She shuddered and hiccupped.

He complimented her, noticing her liking of the drink. He himself made sure that he didn't touch any more of it.

He asked. Small talk did one thing, it put the other person at ease and hte more at ease they felt around him, the easier things were on him.

Covet peered up at him.
"A past worth forgetting..."
She shrugged. "I dunno...maybe the drinks are just that good."

He considered her answer for a moment, then ordered her another drink.
"There's no way you can forget your past with just one drink"
He pointed out in a friendly manner, reaching over to take her hand into his before looking into her eyes.
"and a beatiful woman like you shouldn't have to remember her past if she doesn't want to"

Covet blinked as the other drink was brought to her and his hand touching hers. With her free hand, she took another drink of the liquid.

Joe wanted to feel her close to him, wanted to drink the energy they would produce. He knew he needed this, needed her, and tried his best not to push her, lest she turned him down.
Dizzyness overcame him once more, making him shut his eyes.

"What are you suggesting other then Drinking?"
She asked with a slightly mocking grin. That was drink talking rather then her. Honestly, she never allowed people to get close to her.

He ran his hand up her arm just after she asked the question, before taking it away and taking his shades off, letting her see his icy blue eyes. Yes, he bore the signs of a fight, but he knew he had cleaned up enough to make it look attractive rather than scary.
"If you want, I can show you a world you've only dreamt of"
He assured her, his voice dropping in volume as he spoke.
It took all of his will power to act smooth instead of coming across as a starved, broken Incubus, which was what he was.

She eyed him and those blue eyes....blue eyes that haunted her from another's.
"Two more drinks and we can leave..."
Was all she said as she downed the second. If she was going anywhere, she might as well be semi-drunk to where she wouldn't recall for awhile.

Joe advised her casually, he would humour her and get her the last two drinks if that was necessary, a sign of how desperate he was. For now though, he wanted to see if she'd give into him without the need to be completly off her face.
