hey, im new here, thought id say hi an, uhm, just for the record, goku is my fav, also, i might b a little behind some of you guys, cuz i only have three of the mangas, and ive only seen a few episodes of the manga that my friends have shown me, but i hope that wont keeo me from chatting in alot of the topics

Welcome new members! And don't worry about only having seen a few episodes or only having read the manga. This guild is for all of us to talk about Saiyuki, or other anime and manga that we like. Just beware, we might say some things that give stuff away for later episodes. But we're a really friendly bunch.

Alright, I've finished reading volume four of the manga, and I have to say, I found out something about Hakkai that I NEVER expected.
Spoiler:
Did anyone else besides me NOT know that the woman that Hakkai was in love with, the woman who I believe was his wife in the anime, was also his SISTER??? Yes! I swear to god, it was right there, in black and white, that the woman Hakkai was in love with was his sister.
All I have to say is eek

Huh, I coulda sworn I knew that already, and I've only seen Gensomaden Saiyuki and the first 2 volumes of the manga, so I think it came up in the anime... or maybe I just "saw it coming" so I wasn't surprised or something like that sweatdrop

Axel the Bard Huh, I coulda sworn I knew that already, and I've only seen Gensomaden Saiyuki and the first 2 volumes of the manga, so I think it came up in the anime... or maybe I just "saw it coming" so I wasn't surprised or something like that sweatdrop I honestly don't remember that from the anime. I'm pretty certain they said "wife" when refering to Kanan in the anime, but I'd have to go back and rewatch it to make sure. But here are some exact quotes from the manga: "This is the son of the Centipede monster who raped and impregnated your precious sister"
"I've heard of you. From what I understand, you are her brother. To think your first woman was your older sister. Is it really healthy for siblings to be doing such things?
Hakkai never denied it, either. I think it had something to do with the fact that they were both orphans, but I'm just guessing on that. But, yeah, there it is...
