Skizzors Streamjumper If you can spare the feat, snag Exotic Weapons and get yourself a b*****d sword. Its a one-hander so you can keep your shieldy goodness and does 1d10 damage with a crit range of 19-20. If you grab Increased Crit for it at level 9, then you'll be doing double damage roughly every fifth hit. Shield.. right.. ninja Where would I get one? (I've got 2 points for crafting in both weapons and armor, but I don't know how often I'll do it..) When does Cleave show up as a feat? Well, the hardwired crafting skills aren't used on DN since they have their own crafting system. And Cleave shows up after you have Power Blow, which only has the requirement of a 13 strength, so you've probably got that one down pat.

Craft [weapon/armor] skills are used to modify their respective sprites in game. It's fun, but ultimately for aesthetic value only.

Streamjumper But in your case the ones you should have on you are Cat's Grace, Fox's Cunning, and Endurance... Your pet should have Endurance, Mage Armor, and Bull's Strength, in that order. The rest of your slots should be all about nuking. On DN, most buff spells through 4th level are automatically shared with your familiar / animal companion, so all you need to do is buff yourself, and your pet is buffed as well.

I think he means my zombie.. my familiar (bat) is a bit too useless to bother casting things on it. I think FFG has Ventrilo, but I'm not sure about the rest of us. I know I don't, at least.

By pet I mean any summon meant for long time use as opposed to temp throwaways. Stuff like my high end summon creature spells or Summon Nethereal. Unless I'm using them for a throwaway tank to let me get away from a bad situation, I use a bunch of my extra 1-3 level slots to crank em up a bit.

If you want a familiar that can do something in combat, at least at low levels, I recommend a panther. Also useful is a pixie (although not in combat) which can open locks for you.
