((And it probably still wouldn't help Arthur. Isn't he, like, from Olde England? Even if he can read modern Eng in print-style, I doubt he knows enough of the City to find the place by address alone. There would have to be "You are HERE" directions, with arrows. whee ))
Ach, another chance lost...While A.C. was ((sitting in class, writing a half-million things out so she'd have it ready the very next moment she could post, hoping that Crumpet Lord wouldn't post until she could, because she didn't have time at lunch to put it all in...)) calculating exactly what Arthur was and what to do about him, if anything, he'd gone and buried her only real chance at using him to get to Ashura, and maybe even inside the AoS base. ((Which is where my post would have tried to go... stare *very upset at the shortness of lunch hour*)) Crud... what now? They've got to all be supers, or at least only Wormhole Dude might be human... What are Ashura's powers, again? Can I follow them?

Freakin' A. Now I remember why I wanted to use Wormy. Freakin' psychics!!
Oh, well. A.C. sighed inside. I suppose I couldn't have gotten close anyway. Freakin' super's probably paranoid by now and scans everybody as he meets them... She thought about where to go next, only idly considering how to follow a group with someone like Ashura in it. This had happened once before, she remembered, and it was getting to be a problem.

Sahaqiel Ashura looked at Terra's hand and ignored it. "My name is Ashura Malakai, General of the Alliance." He started to walk by her, and then smiled a little. "Follow me and I'll take you to your new home."

All of a sudden there were two more supers, the man from before, and another man with an overpowering aura of death. Terra shivered a bit from it, but it ultimately didn't affect her. It even felt familiar somehow. Blind psychic? I wish I could ask him about that...
Terra turned to Arthur, "Hey! I found someone who knows how to get to the Alliance HQ." She grinned at him.

What now? What is this, Superfest? Freakin'... no, what's another adjective? I use that one too much. Crimeny. ...Super City. A.C.'s thoughts thereafter were dark and inappropriate for posting.
Oh, wait, she thought after a moment. That's Deth. Seth. Whatever--the dead guy. This is getting kind of creepy... I feel like I should do something, get them away from him. Such a dark presence... But I really can't, in my position, and this is stupid to waste time thinking about so WHY ARE YOU, ARYN??? Use your brain or lose it, girl, but this isn't how. Focus.

CREEEEPYYY.... She shuddered at the contact, knowing that only the dead man would feel that way in her mind. Yet... it was so much more horrible in person than she had ever imagined.

A.C. considered her options. They were limited. Following that group was a bad idea. At least one, albeit supposedly on her same side, knew of her presence. Unless that was a general broadcast? Anyone watching would get it... and so would the others down there. So it was for me. Or anyone in this direction, at least. Does he have the power to block broadcasts from some minds while projecting to all others? That could explain why it was so short a contact--must be hard to hold.
So... what to do? I have nowhere else to be, wandering accomplishes nothing, and, uh, I have no idea whether Deth--Seth!--will help or hurt me. Prove trust to Ashura by pointing me out and telling-all? If he even knows me. Or help me by hiding me from him? Or nothing at all, and I just have to deal with his creepy PRESENCE while following or not following them all... She sighed inside, and her face gave an unhappy twitch. This is simpler when we don't involve dead people. Or psychics in general.

((Aw, crumb, this means I have to go read the battle rules, doesn't it? crying I was so hoping not to have to deal with that for a while yet.))
A.C. instantly tensed in anger. I'm trying to SPY, here! Jeez! But she didn't move. Always, always, wait for the first move. They might just be trying to provoke you, some agents do that. That's what her mentor had taught her, when she used to go off on someone for coming up too close behind her in training. There was this one guy... but he hadn't made it.
((I need help with the numbers. Which are which?))

Mackie was grinning to himself, anticipating the kill, when he saw her shift slightly...not much, just a little less relaxed. She knows! His mind screamed. Kill her now! Still phased, he stabbed forward with his knife sticking it through her so that the blade emerged from her chest. (Since he's phased, the knife doesn't affect her physically - but the visual should be somewhat disturbing)

A.C. didn't have time to complete her own thought as training kicked and she shoved backwards out of her crouch with all her might, carrying her through Mackie and into a dunk and roll behind him. She was stopped by the wall before she could complete it, but was still able to land on her feet facing him.
