Jasmine looked on dazedly as the two fellow gym leaders disappeared, barely gathering her senses enough to come to her Magneton -- it had promptly collasped as its opponent left. She recalled it, and as distracted as she was, she still recognized how grand the Steel-type had been in trying to keep up 'till the very end. But that was not the most prominent thought of the very moment, she slowly realized -- the young woman's thoughts were rather muddled up, being a bit confused. Maorde Menskr? Wasn't he. . the murderer? Suddenly dashing out of the gym, she looked wildly around, only to see that the two had disappeared entirely -- into the air, perhaps?
A sigh escaped her lips; there was no way she could know which way they were going. She silently rebuked herself for not following them earlier and offering her help -- although she was not psychic, she knew there was danger ahead if it involved someone dangerous, like the Maorde. Danger, evil that she might have been able to help fight against. The gym leader shook her head slowly, leaning against the metal doors of the gym, looking at the sea-kissed horizon, and taking a deep breath. Well, all she could honestly do now was wait and hoped that the best came to Nina and Whitney -- and she'd keep her ears peeled for the news too, just in case something really big did happen. If it did, she could only hope that she could get her butt over there before anybody got hurt. Although in retrospect, getting anywhere far very quickly would be difficult, what with her transportation options.

((It's fine, Mike.)) Aska flapped her wings and gave a cry at Kakuna's defeat, looping around and coming to rest on Miharu's shoulder. The duo waited for Bugsy to send out his next Pokemon, neither flinching at all at the sight of the Scyther. In fact, the drawing Miharu had done a year ago that won her Tingle's egg had been of a Scyther. "Do your best," Miharu told Aska simply, and with another chirp, the small bird flew up again, looking down at the Mantis Pokemon. "Start of with Sand-Attack," Miharu said quietly, her gaze shifting from Aska to Scyther, then to Bugsy before coming to rest on Aska again.
The Pidgey eyed her surroundings carefully once before sending a cloud of dust and other debris from the ground towards her opponent. She could still feel the poison in her system, draining her stamina, and she knew she wouldn't last much longer.

Akane struggled out of some undergrowth and onto a path, the tops of some houses could be seen over the tree tops.
"Finally!" exclaimed a tired and disheveled looking Akame. She was very glad she and Merle had bought those good walking shoes. She was also looking forward to a nice hot shower at the Pokemon Center and a nice rest too. Twinkers, the tiny Cleffa, tumbled out onto the path a few seconds later. She wasn't looking very happy, twigs and leaves were sticking out of her bandanna and she was in dire need of a wash. "Sorry, Twinkers, were nearly at Pallet Town .... I think. Lets have a rest and maybe we can clean up a little, sound good?" Akane said to the the small pink Pokemon. "Fa Fa!" beamed Twinkers as she sat down right where she was and looked expectantly to Akane.

After digging around in her satchel for a little while, Akane found two bottles of water, a large container half filled with nuts and dried fruits, a comb, two hankercheifs, and a slightly squashed chocolate bar. She opened the container and put it in front of Twinkers (who happily started munching on small handfulls of the food) then wet a hankercheif with a little of the bottled water and used the now damp cloth to wash her tiny companion. Once done Akane used the second handkercheif in a similar fashion on herself, washing her own face and neck followed by her hands and arms.
"Hey! Leave me some!". Twinkers looked down at the container and seeing it far less full than when she started eating pushed the container towards Akane and managed to look somewhat bashful. Akane had a few mouthfuls then started combing her hair, took a few more bites and then pulled the hair back into a simple pony tail. "There, what do you think? Is my face clean?" she asked the diminutive Cleffa. "Fa Fa" replied Twinkers with a decisive nod of its head.
The two sat and rested, sharing the remaining bottle of water and the chocolate bar in the dappled light that peirced the trees. Akane washed their hands and faces again afterwards, the little pokemon getting chocolate all over its face.

"Shall we?" aked Akane holding out a hand.
She was surprised to see that her hand was in an elegant pale blue silk glove that reached to her elbow. She was even more surprised to see that she was reaching out to a handsome blonde haired man in a splendid tuxedo. She looked around and to her wonder saw she was in an elegent ballroom, fancy chandeleirs hung from the high ceiling and they reflected in the highly pollished hardwood floors. Then the music started, a rich and beautiful waltz. Akane was dancing magnificently, her handsome partner twirling around and around with her. She certainly felt very magical dancing in that pretty pale blue silk dress. Her gorgeous dancing partner lent in as the song ended and held her gently. He parted his very kissable lips and said "Fa! Fa!" ....

Time to change Whitney's font color...
"NINA!" Whitney said overly-loudly, "If you had a vision of Maorde, then why are we, like, going to the place that you saw him? Aren't you kinda like, concerned that he'll like... Oh, I don't know. Try to kill us again?!"
"...Nina?!" The girl didn't respond for a moment. "I... I know!" she replied, "but Kilik's in Ecruteak! What if Maorde finds him and goes after him?!" Whitney scoffed in disgust. "Are you like, freaking kidding me?! After the way that guy has like, treated you, I think you should just like, let him deal with the problem on his own!"
Nina looked over her shoulder at the other girl. "Whitney, I might be spiteful and depressed, but I'm not going to let him get killed! He used to be my friend for god's sakes!" The Gym Leader sighed exasperatedly. "All right, fine. You can like, do what you want."
A little while later, Krystal arrived in Ecruteak City, and allowed her passengers to dismount; she was called back into her Pokeball a few moments later. Whitney and Nina walked around the city, the latter of the two girls trying to remember where the cemetary was. After some five minutes of searching, she found it. However, the only people that were in the cemetery were buried in the ground.
Nina stared increduously. "But... I know what I saw!" she said.

"No way." Z said as his hair blew gently into his face from the gentle breeze. "I never loose. I don't lose. Ever." Z said as he fell to his knees a broken spirit. He completely excluded the time with Dante becasue Dante was just way out of his league. "I do not lose!" He yelled as he punched the ground, he would have regretted it but he couldn't feel pain right now. The world felt like it was shaking under him and he kept seeing flashes of purple. He was starting to feel dizzy when he heard a small whimper, completely snapping him out of his blind rage. He looked a few fett in front of him and saw an unconcious Shino lying on the ground with a few small cracks in his shell. "Shino . . . Shino!" Z said slowly remembering that Shino was injured. He stood up and ran over to his little bug friend. "I'm so sorry. I should've gotten you to a poke center minutes ago!!" Z said picking him up and holding him to his chest. He quickly ooked aorund for any signs of where the pokecenter was. Finally he saw a snippet of the huge pokeball on the top of the building from over a small restraunt.

Torchic hopped around the Pokemon Center excitedly, chirping with each step. Jaeshan leaned up against the counter, watching his young Pokemon enjoy herself while he awaited the return of Bagon, Weepinbell and Mightyena. When the trio were returned to him, he made his way over to the couch and flopped down, leaning back and giving a relieved sigh. "Finally," he said happily, holding up the shining Thunder Badge so he could admire it. Torchic scampered over to him, and demanded to be picked up. The boy did just that, setting the young Pokemon on his lap. "Very soon, I hope you'll be able to help me win another one of these," he told her, and she reached out to try and sniff at it. "But first you need a lot of training." The young chick bounced up and down again, very excited at the prospect. Having witnessed the battle, she'd gained an understanding of what was to be expected from them, and someday Torchic hoped she could make her trainer proud, just like Mightyena and the others.
After a few more moments of quiet chatting, Jaeshan stowed his badge and stood up, deciding that he would head out and spend some time training, since he was still fairly pumped up from that gym battle with Surge. Maybe someday soon I can have a rematch with Kasiya, he thought, reliving part of the battle in his memory. He stepped outside again, looking around the seaside town. He'd spent a lot of time here recently, and he was starting to like it here. A small pang of homesickness shot through him, and he longed for the familiar sights of Littleroot once again. He quickly rid himself of the feeling. After all, he'd left Hoenn for a good reason, and he was in no hurry to go back there anytime soon.

"Let's just say that it's a hunch that I've got," he nodded again, then pointed at the Umbreon across from him, "Enough talk! It's time to battle!" Kilik watched her nod. "Lombre! Go attack with an Astonish!" Lombre clapped his hands together once. The Pokemon bid 'hello' to his opponent before rushing forward and slamming Umbreon in the chest.
No major injuries had been incurred and Umbreon really felt like nothing had happened. Instead, the Pokemon let out a haughty yawn and stepped forward. "Kilik, just because you have a move I'm weak to," Umbra smiled, placing her knuckles close to her lips, "Doesn't mean it'll always do how much you wish. Umbreon! Pursuit!" The Pokemon began to circle around Lombre, watching its every move intently. She narrowed her eyes as she watched.
What's she up to? he thought. "Lombre! Attack with Giga Drain!" he ordered. The moment Lombre made a single movement, so much as moving his head to the side, he felt himself pinned the ground and a sharp claw mark gone across his chest.
Umbreon hopped off the Pokemon and barked. "Umbreon!" She was very agressive when it came to battling, it seemed. She watched Lombre stand back up and unleash his attack. Swiftly, she manuevered past each of the large six orbs, even while managing to stay away from the hole in the stage. Umbra smiled. "Now, Umbreon. Quick Attack!" The Pokemon dashed forward, slamming her foe in the side.
The pain was overwhelming in his state. Lombre fell to the floor, on his side and let out a light whisper of "Lom..." Before he closed his eyes, he saw Umbreon looming over him. They got me, pardner... was the last thought going through his mind before he was recalled by Kilik. The boy smiled. "Wow," although it was drowned out by the cheers given off from the other four sisters, "Umbra, you're good. But you sisters aren't the only ones training Eevee evolutions." He pulled a Pokeball from his belt, "You see, I've been training with my Eevee since the day I got him. C'mon out, Flareon!" He tossed the ball up into the air, his firey fox being revealed to the entire theatre. A collective gasp came from the other sisters, as if they had never seen somebody else with an Eevee evolution in their party. "Now this is Round Six. Final Round. For sure this time." The boy nodded.

"He's here, he has to be!" Nina said, looking around frantically. "In my vision, the sun was in the exact position it's in now, and the wind was blowing just a little bit, like it is right now, and--"
"Nina! Just like, calm down for a second!" Whitney said, grabbing the other girl by her shoulders. "It's possible that you could've, like, had a false vision, right? I mean, that's like, not something that can be ruled out." Nina shook her head a little. "But the chances of me having a false vision are so slim... I may have had three or four false visions in my entire lifetime, Whitney. And those ones were about minor things; there's no way I'd have a false vision about a maniacal Pokemon trainer returning!" She wriggled free from Whitney's grasp. "Just... I need to look around! He must be inside of one of the buildings, and if he is and we find him before he finds us, we can get the drop on him!" Whitney opened her mouth to protest, but Nina was already heading off to a nearby building.
"Nina, let's just like, sit down and stop to think about this for a minute!" Whitney called running after her sister. "I know you said that like, a false vision is rare, but what if I'm right and you're--" "Or what if I'm right, Whitney?" Nina asked, approaching a small structure, walking up to the window, her head turned to look at Whitney as she continued to talk. "What if I'm right and Maorde really is inside of one of these buildings, and he's--"
"Or what if, like, Kilik's right inside this building, having a battle?" Nina grew quiet. She felt her heart metaphorically crashing onto the ground and shattering into a million pieces. "Wh... what?" she whispered. Whitney nodded in the window's direction. "He's right in there, Nina. Take a look."
Ever so slowly, Nina turned her head and looked at the window, stepping closer to it. Peering into the building, she spotted Kilik tossing a Pokeball in the air, and Flareon coming out of it. The girl let out a small gasp, and she smiled a little bit, a tear running down her cheek.
"Look at him," she whispered. "He's fighting the Kimono Sisters, and he's gotten through all of them except for Umbra..." Nina held up her hand to the window, her fingertips lightly touching the glass.

Suddenly, Kilik felt a light pang against his heart. As if someone were watching him. However, he shook his head and shrugged the feeling off, slipping his hand into his pocket and pointing with his other hand at Umbreon. "Flareon! Fire Spin!" The Pokemon looked at him as if he were crazy, with an expression reading 'Here!? On a wooden stage?!' Instead, he reared his head back and let out an Ember. Sometimes I never get a break... he thought with a sigh.
The five orbs of fire that were expelled from Flareon's body all came into contact with the opposing Umbreon. Umbra gasped, "Your Flareon must be at a very high level!" she commented. "Umbreon! Quick Attack!" Umbreon crouched down and dashed forward, hopping over the hole in the stage and bringing her front paws to slam into Flareon, hard.
"Retaliate!" Kilik demanded, "Use your own Quick Attack to jump up into Umbreon!" At that command, the fox pressed the stage with his paws and hopped up with a trail of white light following behind. The two Eevee evolutions connected and began to fight on the floor with snarls and attacks involving their paws. Flareon hopped off and took a deep breath. "Now then! Ember again!" Flareon released more fire, connecting with Umbra's Pokemon. The same smirk that adorned Kilik's lips now wore upon his.
It didn't matter how naturally impervious Umbreon was to Special moves like Ember. The difference in their power levels was too great. The Pokemon wavered for a moment before falling onto her stomach. Umbra blinked and then closed her eyes with a silent smile. "I figured as much. Return, Umbreon," lifting up her Pokeball and recalling her Pokemon, she walked back over to her sisters. Together, the five disappeared behind a sliding door on the stage.
Kilik said nothing, but returned his Flareon. His eyes looked at the sliding door for a moment or two before he heard applause coming from the people on the blue cushions, seated on the floor. Granted, only one person was clapping and that was the man in the business suit.

The old man placed his hands together and began to clap happily. "I say, me lad!" His Scottish accent was quite strong, "Must've been, oh dear...I'd say almost a week since me last bout!" He laughed deeply, "Ah yes, 'gainst a girl named Mit...Mit...Mittens. Yeah, tha' sound aboot right." The man slipped his hands into his pockets and smiled through his white beard.
"Well, then, Keegan, me lad. Let's get th'show on th'road!" The Gym Leader grabbed a PokeBall from his belt and tossed it up, "Magnemite, show 'em what you can do!"

Deciding that the last attack was basically impossible for the two Eevee to counter on their own Mag decided that this would be a good time to halt training. "Okay guys that is enough for now." Mag called to them sending them all back into their pokeballs for the time being.
My pokemon could use some new moves. Maybe I should go check out some TM's at the Pokemart. I do have quite a bit of cash. Mag thought to himself continueing his journey north to Cerulean again. He was at the ledge he could jump over to get back in town in no time.
"Now where is that mart.." he mumbled scanning the horizon for a blue roof.

At the very least, it was a pleasant view. Mike didn't have much affection for the ocean, and in fact was a little threatened by it, but he felt safer with Kasiya there. "It's not bad." He admitted. "Nothing compared to a good lava flow, or the seasonal eruption of Mt. Chimney, but I'll give this one to ya." The air was clean, almost too clean. "Not enough soot." He mocked the girl's chipper attitude harmlessly, adding a kiss to the air.
Thankfully for him, the walkway was wider than he had expected. Mike had envisioned a narrow foot width plank he'd have to traverse, filled with Gyarados ready for a meal. "So, how have things been since I was at Lavaridge? Anything new?"

The mention of Mt. Chimney erupting made Kasiya giggle a bit. When she and Mitsu had started scaling the mountainside, she began to obsess about what they'd do if lava did start spewing towards them. That caused her to freak out, and she'd fallen a bit, only then coming face to face with the silver Absol. "It's only been a few days, but it seems like a lot has happened," she smiled, standing up and swinging her arms about her harmlessly. It really had been only a few days, but it felt like a week's worth of events had occurred. Saving Allegra from that mean trainer, fighting with Keegan, capturing Casimir, this Maorde Menskey guy, Mai stealing the relic and attacking her father. The girl clenched a fist, a dark look flashing in her normally bright blue eyes for a few seconds before she blinked, and it was gone. "I guess a little storytelling will help us get there quicker," she smiled, beckoning for Mike to walk along beside her. "And besides, I wanna hear what happened with Flannery." A sickly feeling crept over her as she said that last sentence, but she decided that the more she said it, the more it would sink in. I hope Flannery knows just how lucky she is to have someone like him to care for her, she thought, a wistful smile edging its way onto her face.
