Crim` stood, surprised by the attack. He began swinging his knife at the descending flaming paper, backing up slowly as he tried not to let any of it burn him.
She's trying to flush me out... Not bad. he thought as he looked to his left sleeve which had apparently caught on fire. He turned and ran backward, hitting the sleeve to put it out and breaking away from his cover as well as the area that was being littered with flaming paper rain, then came to a quick stop, his left hand at his side, his ring beginning to glow green again. He raised his hand quickly as if throwing a baseball up into the air, the earth in front of him splitting again and quickly sending another wave of breaking ground toward Kata quickly, this time a rougher approach, sending rocks flying upward at her body and face.

There he was! And there... Was his attack. Shielding her face with her right hand, she thrust her fist out towards Crim and set out a blast of fire his way, the ring shining brightly. She made no effort to move out of the way of the attack, assuming she'd hit Crim harder than he hit her.
The wave of earth hit her, knocking her back several steps and buffeting her with stones. At least her clothes were now a little bit less white, she thought, peeking out for Crim around her hand.

Flames came spinning at him quickly and he couldn't avoid it. His eyes widened as he felt the heat approach and he raised his arms in front of his face crossed, his hands in fists and his face shielded. He stumbled back a few steps, his sleeves burning off and then he couldn't help but be knocked over onto his back as the fire intensified for a split second against his arms.
"Damnit!" he screamed, scurrying to his feet. He missed a step, stumbling due to the pain his his leg. He pulled the remains of his jacket's sleeves off, revealing singed arms stained darkly, smoke drifting upward from them.
"Alright c'mon." he said, his left hand raising at his side, the sleeves of his jacket falling off completely and his shoulder still partially set aflame. The ring began to glow intensely, the green aura surrounding his entire left hand. He seemed to be getting angry.

Kat smiled as she noticed that Crim had been hit. However, the building aura and the challenge meant only one thing to her. Run.
She turned to bolt, racing to keep Crim's wall between them. She noticed as she ran that large bruises were starting to bloom on her arms. She assumed the rest of her body looked similar. It hadn't been an exceptionally strong attack, but she wasn't really built to take hits well.
She stopped directly behind Crim's wall to catch her breath. She was going to be really sore tomorrow. Running like she did with an injured leg was not fun. She almost regretted stopping, her body didn't want to start moving again. But she started jogging again around to the spot where the wall ended. Peering out, she looked for Crim, hoping to catch him from behind.
((I'm gonna assume he wouldn't just dissolve the walls, if he would I'll change this. sweatdrop ))

Crim` ran at Kata quickly. This was a simple charge and he was mad enough that his jacket was totaled... Again, that he put whatever pain he felt to the back of his head. He raised his left hand and pressed it against the wall he had earlier erected, the same Kata was now using for cover of her own, and as he touched it it exploded. The debris and chunks of earth exploded away from Crim` and toward his hiding adversary.

There was no time for the catgirl to get out of the way. The wall beside her erupted, sending debris... And her... flying backwards. She hit the ground on all four in a cat-like pose, still landing smoothly, though obviously just from reflex as she fell to her side a second later a second later.
Kat lay there trying to catch her breath. But she was going to need a minute and she didn't trust Crim to give her it. Groaning, she rolled over and laid her left hand flat against the ground. The ring flared to life as a wall of fire sprang up surrounding her.
The circle of fire was small, but she figured it would stop Crim from charging her at the least. Or hurt him if he did. On her hands and knees, she watched what he'd do, trying to catch her breath.

Crim` still stood there, his left arm extended after breaking down the wall of earth she had been hiding behind. He breathed a bit heavily, eyeing her. The fatigue he experienced from his wounds seemed to finally be taking a toll on him, despite his stubborness.
He stood upright then slightly slumped over a bit, laughing a tired laugh. His appearance was pretty disheveled and he was looking to put it simply, terrible. His hair was a mess, singed a bit at the tips. His arms hang at his sides and he had a bit of a crazed expression on his face, a wide grin as he stared at Kata. "Using my own structure against me isn't the best idea." he said, watching her flame shield rise. "In our little intermission I've got a question... What did you do with that disc we stole from Serano?" he asked.

Kat hmphed and slowly rose to her feet, grateful for the reprieve. It was obvious he was getting tired. He'd taken a bullet to the shoulder, a stab in the leg, and a blast of fire to the arms, she was impressed he was still moving. Comparitively, she'd just been thrown around a bit and gotten a flesh wound to the leg.
"It's not like you took advantage of it being your own structure earlier." She pointed out, referring to the fact that he had chosen to leave the structure intact and walk out the opening when she flushed him out, rather than create a new exit like she would have.
"You could have come out of there in any direction, instead you picked the obvious one." She also hadn't anticipated he'd blow it up to find her.
But she'd been hoping he was too enraged to think about abolishing her hiding spot, and simply chased her.
Still standing behind her flame wall, she considered his question.
"I thought you had the disc." She concluded with a shrug. Whether she was being sincere about that or not was not readily apparent.

Crim` flexed his left hand, opening and closing it as he rotated his left arm a bit, stetching it out and extending his fingers then closing his fist.
"Maybe you're right." he said, looking to his left arm. His eyes shifted back to her and he stared at her dead-on for a moment after she mentioned the disc. "I think you're lying." he said, rubbing his gunshot wound with his right hand. He looked down to his right index and middle fingers, blood on his black glove, then back up to her again.
"I'm getting tired of this library, and this little dance, you know." he said, letting his left arm drop to his side. He bent his knees, leaning mostly on the leg that wasn't wounded. He put away whatever weapons he might've held and extended his right arm at his side. The papers around the area began to fly up, his clothes blowing against him as if being caught in a rough breeze comign from the direction of his right arm. The skin on his right arm seperated in sections; along his bicep and forearm were notable patterns and the muscle-like tissue that the seperations in his 'skin' revealed eminated a reddish glow. His right glove which quickly flew away as energy pulsed throughout his palm and knuckles, ripping it from his hand.
"I was hoping not to test the new level of my arm on someone so cute but..." he muttered, a sly grin on his face as he crouched a bit lower. "Due to the fact that I'm wounded I'm sure I can square it with myself..."

Kat barely flinched at sight. She'd mostly recovered her breath and was just waiting for the adrenaline to kick in again. Shouldn't be much longer.
"Lot's of talk for no action." She said with a smirk. "Does this mean I can use my guns again? I was holding back cuz someone here wanted an elemental battle."
"Maybe it wasn't a good idea to taunt the guy with the super arm." Kat thought, quickly discarding the idea. It just made the game more interesting. Maybe she'd unlock a hidden ability to go supernova on Crim's a**. Or maybe life didn't work like DBZ, and she'd get out of this the same way she always did. Lots of firepower.

Crim` closed his eyes for a moment, then opened them. Now it was complete, the prostetic was in full battle mode.
"If it is to be your guns against my arm then so be it..." he muttered, narrowing his eyes.
In that instant he broke toward Kata, pushing himself off of the floor into a fast almost superhuman dash toward her. After a few hard steps he was there right upon her, so to speak. He brought his arm up from the side of his abdomen, his right arm glowing brighter than before, his hand forming a fist as he launched himself as well as a deadly fierce right hook through the wall of fire that stood around her, his fist roaring through the air as he swung it.
This attack would be like a train connecting with a car were it to fully connect with any part of her, and the aestetically fearsome appearance and glow of the prostetic arm would make this apparent to her if she were observant.

As Crim raced towards her, Kat was already jumping backwards, so that by the time Crim got there she was already on the other side of her wall of fire. The flames parted for her as she jumped through the wall, but flared back for a second brighter as she landed in a crouched position. Crim's punch would hit nothing but air.
She quickly turned her head up to look at Crim, who was surrounded by her firewall. The adrenaline had kicked back in, all she needed to do now was wear him down enough to get a clear shot in. Hopefully he wore down before she did.

Crim` landed hard on his feet within the wall, angry eyes locked on her still. He brought his right arm from the position it was in after the missed punch and lunged forward again, rotating his body right and swinging his right arm outward as he darted out of the flame wall toward her again, barely pausing the whole time.
He stepped toward her and spun quickly, leading into the execution of a powerful heel-first roundhouse kick from his right side toward Kata's head that'd make even Chuck Norris proud.

Balancing on one hand, Kat whipped her leg out from behind her, aiming at Crim's leg in hopes of knocking him over as his other leg was midair. As she did so her head tucked low and to the side, Crim's kick passing just inches above her and brushing one cat ear.

Crim's left leg was quickly swept out from under him, a surprising move that well... Surprised him!
He wasted no time and quickly recovered, rolling to his side and standing to face her. His eyes focused on her and his left hand rose in front of him, his hand kept in a fist; His right hand was held close to him but somewhat highly, rising slowly. Crim` grinned, a smug expression draped across his visage. "Been working on your close range moves I see." he said calmly.
His eyes flashed, a crazed glint appearing in an instant. In that same instant his arm seemed to flare with energy as he then suddenly broke toward her again, lunging at her with a right punch aimed down at her. If the move would miss, it would cause an explosion on the floor as Crim's fist connected with it.
