A Pidgey zooms towards David's head. He barely manages to dodge it as he dives towards the ground.
Alright, you asked for it...
David grabs the pokeball off of his belt and tosses it in te air with a smirk. Bulbasaur pops out and lands gracefully next to him. It looks up at its trainer.
Alright Momir, tackle it to the ground!
The Bulbasaur, now named Momir, beings to run at the Pidgey. The bird circles around and comes at Momir , expecting to dive bomb him. Momir moves out of the way and quickly turns around and pounces on top of the Pidgey, slamming it into the ground in the process.
Good job. Now tackle it one more time, this time into that tree.
Momir smacks the bird with its head as it charges into a nearby tree. Pidgey, unable to move out of the way, takes the full brunt of the attack and is knocked out by the force of the move.
Coolness. Alright, come back Momir. We'll catch another one later.
David doesn't bother to return Momir to his ball, instead would rather have him alert and ready outside of it. Momir's training had begun.

Char cried out in surprise and stopped, rubbing his eyes. He wasn't going to trip and fall and look like an idiot. The Bulbasar and its trainer were rooting for him, so he couldn't loose--his pride wouldn't let him.
"CHAAAAR!" Char roared, running at the blurry red figure with his watery eyes.

Realizing she had a chance to get out of the way, Flare ran and jumped over Char. She used quick attack at Char's undefended back. She was filled with blind fury and would do anything to win.

Char fell to the ground from the blow, and rolled out of the way just in case Flare went for another attack. Char blinked a few times, getting as much sand as he cuold out of his eyes, then got up. With the encouragement from one of the trainers, he smiled. Charmander opened up his mouth and...a small flame came out, but it quickly dissapeared.
"Tackle!" Terra cried, and Char ran for a tackle to Flare.

Flares temper took over and she did the same, she was ready...(bum bum bum...))

Char ran in to tackle Flare.
This is too predictable, Char thought, and leapt into the air at the last moment and swept it's tail under Flare's feet.

Flare had seen him begin to jump but had to go on. She rolled onto the ground and sat up. Yes she had tripped but she wouldn't give up that easy. She waited for shars next move. She was tired.

Just coming back from the Pokecenter, Char wasn't as tired as Flare was. Char landed after Flare dodged, and ran in for a tackle immediately. He knew that if he kept attacking like this, he'd get really worn out, but at the rate it was going now, he didn't have anything to worry about.

Flare was also realizing she was more tired than Char and would lose alot of energy at this rate. Suddently she hiccuped and a burst of fire flew out. Char was too far away and was gaining for it to hit. She used focus energy as she ran and began to peck on impact. She felt pain and loosing energy. She jumped back panting. Though she was tired, she used focus energy to enhance her next move. 1 or 2 more attacks would do her in, but she'll lose with dignity if she has to.

Char wrinkled his nose after he leaped back from the tackle. That peck stung! He wanted to do more long range attacks, but if he tried what Terra wanted him to, it'd just be a waste of energy because flare, too, was a fire type.
Screw that, I'm going in for a bite, Char thought, and started sprinting towards Flare, head lowered, trying to fake a head butt.

Flare needed to dodge and peck...so....
She shuffled around as came closer, then jumped out of the sand cloud, scuffling another area. She didnt know what Char was thinking, but when he stopped running, it'd be another peck and scratch. She pin pointed where he is and charged into the cloud.
