User name: Mors the Meticulous Player name: Madilyn "Maddy" Ophelia Ross Player Desc: Maddy is small, slender and standing at the rather lacking height of 4'10". She has large grey-green-and-blue eyes and layered pale blonde hair that falls around her shoulders. She's pale and awkward, quiet. Game Character Name: Laurus Age: Madilyn: 18. Laurus: 27 Class: Dual Edge Weapon: She (or s/he in game, since she prefers to use androgynous characters) uses long, curved knives which are almost scythe-like. Description: Laurus stands at about 5'10", slim and long in appearance. S/he usually wears dark grey, swathed in cloth from head to toe, a hood pulled low over his/her face. Any armor s/he wears is usually light and under his/her clothing, and all the cloth from his pants is tucked into soft cream-coloured boots. There is something oddly feminine in the way s/he moves. Personality: Madilyn: Maddy herself is very quiet, soft-spoken. She's awkward and hesitant in her movements. She doesn't much care for people... partially because she's so very afraid of doing something wrong, making a mistake. She prefers books and games. Laurus: Laurus is almost bi-polar. At times s/he is very calm, quiet, mysterious. Other times, s/he's verbose, talking and flirting (with males and females equally), boasting and humble by turns. It's as though his/her player moves back and forth between wanting to play someone out-going and being too afraid to do so. Bio: Madilyn: Her mother says that she is an escapist, afraid of facing the real-world, afraid of becoming a real person outside of her games and inner-universe. She devotes herself to anything that will help her get away from the worries of society. In-game, she can be tough, tall, and however she likes. If she makes a mistake with a character-- though she works very hard to keep herself from doing so-- she can always start over again (a pain to do, but it's a luxury she doesn't have in life). Laurus: S/he (technically, the character does have one gender, but Maddy doesn't concern herself with this. She prefers to think of Laurus as asexual. For anyone who wonders, the name at least is feminine) doesn't really have much of a history... which is odd, seeing as Maddy loves making histories. All that's certain is that s/he started life very ordinary and decided that it was a time for a change. S/he found someone to train him/her after seeing someone fight in the style s/he now uses and diligently became devoted to the art. S/he only goes on missions or quests that pique his/her interest. (On a side note, anyone may decide whether Laurus is male or female. Maddy shall always refer to him/her as a male/female, but I don't ask that others go through this.) Server: Dante -Mirai

Username: 蒼夕のフィーニクス (Souyū no Phoenix) Character Name: 羅頼神楽 (Usurai Kagura) In-Game Name: REMEI (Remei) Age: 19 (Real World); 19 (In-Game Appearance) Class: Edge Punisher Weapon: The Hewn; an ancient blade that once was part of one of the many stone records within Saint's Helm; it is thought to have been carved down over countless centuries by the poisoned Eitr of the Sylgr. ([Alignment] Earth; [Effect] All Bad Status) Description (In-Game): While trying to keep her appearance toned down, Remei does have a tendency to leave an impression on others--her black, formal winter dress, contrasting with her pale skin, long white hair, and red eyes, she's become a very popular player among those of the male persuasion, and she's been around long enough that most players with any history in the Game recognize her distinctive outfit on sight. What few people realize is that her face is modeled on her creator's, and, side by side, they'd seem twins--save for Remei's albinism. Description (Real World): Despite her traditional Japanese upbringing--or perhaps because of it--Kagura has, since coming to America to study, begun to develop a style rather unbecoming of the daughter of a Shinto priest. While her long, black hair has remained relatively unchanged, her preference in dress has altered radically. She tends to don sleeveless tops; tight jeans or short skirts; and occasionally striped stockings, or else particularly long socks, coupled with calf or knee boots. She can often be found wearing a worn, extremely long scarf, and she's rarely found without her guitar. She is, it might be noted, rather tall for a Japanese girl Personality: Despite her appearance, Kagura is a remarkably quiet girl, rarely speaking unless spoken to, and even then not very much. Others tend to find her a bit standoff-ish because of her reticence, though, as those who know her well will tell you, she's actually quite kind and loyal, though it can be difficult for her to express it. She's a hard worker and fairly intelligent, though she gets lost in music so easily that her schoolwork occasionally suffers for it. Nevertheless, she was able to pull herself together and make it into an American college. She still spends quite a lot of time immersed in music, particularly rock, but has found new outlets for it which help relieve her distraction. While still fairly quiet in the Game, under the guise of Remei, Kagura tends to act more assertively and confidently, though her kindness and loyalty don't change. Bio: Remei has been around in the Game for something over two years now, and has gained a reputation she doesn't feel she's earned as a PKK--more than that, she tends to simply defend others if the opportunity arises. She's occasionally sought out as a challenging opponent--with a reputation as a skilled fighter, and as she is at the highest level in the Game. She's known for helping others--not necessarily in the field, although she will help players out there on occasion, but with peculiar things--ranging from facilitating trades to offering valuable connections, and even to helping out with real world problems at times--much as she may dislike bringing the real world into the fake one. She even, on occasion, organizes contests through the BBS--usually providing the prize herself in the form of one of the many rare items she gets that she doesn't really need.
Kagura was born on the outskirts of Sapporo to a very traditional family--and what else might one expect of the family of a Shinto priest? She was raised to be respectful and proper, and, while she was always tall for her age, she always projected the image of a proper young Japanese girl. She took a position as her father's shrine's miko at an early age, and was instructed in a number of traditional disciplines, most of which she hasn't kept up with since leaving for America. It was in her first year of high school that she started to get influenced by western style music--especially rock--though she continued to maintain her decorum throughout. She began to make closer friends during the time period, and eventually started letting her interests branch out. It was in her third year of high school that she tried her first computer game--the Game, itself, which she found herself enjoying more than she had thought she might. When she moved to America for school, and started living in a society significantly more free about their tastes than the one she had been familiar with, she began more openly exploring the interests she had picked up in high school, and, with far less hindering her, she's allowed her own style to blossom. User name: Axis_Lyonheart516 Character name: Nathaniel Moorow Character Game-User Name: Regulus Age: Real life: 18 Game: 23 Class: Knight Weapon: An old sword given to him by his adoptive father and mentor, Cornelius. The "Dual Soul" is said to bring out the 'light' or 'dark' in one's soul, though no one has ever seen it happen. It's black, jagged handle hold the steel blade in place, unscathed. Description (Real World): Nathan has shaggy, dark brown hair that seemingly can’t be tamed. He is usually always seen wearing a black T-shirt that is a size larger than what he should be wearing, and normal, though somewhat baggy denim jeans to go with it. Although very thin in appearance – he doesn’t eat much – he has shown others that he possesses some muscle, being able to lift more than 100 lbs over his head with ease.
Description (In Game): Regulus’ short black hair complements his real world appearance, a scar traveling down his left temple down to his neck. Having chosen the path of the sword, he very much in shape: both in strength and agility, capable of wielding his blade with ease. A little less than six feet tall, Regulus is usually seen with a dark chest-plate on. His forearms are covered with metal, as well as black gauntlets over both his hands. From the waist down, his dark-colored armor completes itself, as it covers his legs and feet. A sheathe hangs from his waist where he holsters his sword.
Personality (Real World): Nathan is quiet boy, earning decent grades, as well as developing “teacher’s pet” traits, unknown to him. Because of his quiet nature, he doesn’t have many friends, and doesn’t have much of a social life. He’s always thought of himself as an outcast, hating anything that involves sports and drama. He has very strong morals, however, and never betrays what he was taught to do. Whenever finished with whatever it is he’s doing, he’ll always jump into The Game, being the total addict he is, although he’ll never reveal it to anyone.
Personality (In Game): Loyal to a fault, Regulus is almost as quiet as his real-world counterpart, and is very high-strung. His personality has lead to him to usually only think of the mission at hand. He has a tendency to never explain his feelings to anyone, and is usually considered to be somewhat of a ‘lone wolf.” However, for those he calls his allies, he’ll never betray their trust, and will follow them to the ends of the earth.
Bio: Nathan is a total geek when it comes to technology and videogames – as told to him by his friends – and spends most of his time and money on these objects. He has been very interested in The Game as of late, and considering he loves the fantasy genre, has been sucked into its world. Growing up in a middle-class family, Nathan lost his father at a young age, and was forced to grow up rather quickly, helping his sister when in need. He found videogames as a portal to get his mind of real life, and has been playing since the young age of 6.
Regulus’ past has been one of great deal and hardship. After killing his father at the young age of 8 years old, trying to defend his mother and older sister, Regulus ran from his hometown and never returned, instead, began living off stolen goods and items. At the age of 16, he was found by a man named Cornelius, who took him into his home, and became the father he wish he’d always had. Cornelius, a very gifted warrior, taught Regulus the way of the sword, and entered the Academy; a school devoted to making warriors out of young men.
Thanks to all that Cornelius had taught him, Regulus passed with ease. One day as he returned from school, a group of enemy soldiers under the leadership of a demon named Altrax. After losing a battle he couldn’t win, Regulus vowed that one day, he would take revenge on this demon. He has been searching for him ever since.

User name: Tempus_Glacia Player name: Aurora (Rori) Lestra Player Desc: RoriGame Character Name: Thestral Age: Both- 21 Class: Grappler Weapon: A pair of Spiked Gloves Description: ThesPersonality: Rori is open minded, imaginative, and usually found nose first in a book. She's considerate, typically high spirited, and loves to put her overly-active imagination to good use. However, she is very firm in her beliefs and ideals and has no problems with defending either if the need arises. She can get pushy, hateful, spiteful and down right cold hearted if such emotions are needed and doesn't tend to care what people think about her. Thestral isn't as lucky. She's sarcastic, witty, and determined to a fault point. Her sarcasm can reach cruel high points and she only seems to find these sort of events amusing. She isn't generally fond of forming parties or getting stuck in groups for Quests- as she more proned to "Going it alone." More people makes her feel as if she's being slowed down and there for she tends to ignore begging Questers. Bio: Aurora was one of those kids who graduated high school and dove straight into college. She couldn't wait to get away from her house hold and chose a school as far away from home as possible- completely across the US. Having grown up near Orlando, Florida, she set out for Oregon without a second thought over the matter. She's since spent her time attending classes and working a part-time job on campus. Upon The Game's release, she stood in the ever-lasting long line on the day it came out to receive her copy and has been playing it as avidly as she can since then. Thestral's creation came early on in The Game, and she's spent her time making herself as well known as possible the only way a person generally can- by PK'ing. Its more or less a sport for the woman, and she's been doing it since the activity first became popular. Server: Náströnd -Mirai

User name: Smouse Character name: Locke Verlaine Character’s username: Detlen Age: 18 (real world and game) Class: Monk Weapon: Detlen’s body is his weapon. Description (Real World): Locke looks average for a six-foot eighteen-year-old with an average build and an unexceptional presence. He isn’t quite as physically normal as he first appears to be, however, for a few reasons. One is his attire, which usually consists of hooded shirts that hide his short, jet black hair, dark blue gloves, and pants of whatever kind he happens to find. His pants hide another of his abnormalities: his left leg, scarred from mid-thigh to ankle and completely unable to support any weight. This is the result of an accident a short time ago, and Locke has a crutch he has modified that takes its place. His crutch, or rather it’s abnormal shape, hides his other physical defect: his left arm, malformed during infancy and now unable to straighten. Because of how he has modified his crutch, it seems necessary to hold his arm at the angle it is naturally. The final difference is a nervous habit he developed in childhood of keeping one smoky-colored eye closed at all times.
Description (In-Game): Lean yet muscled, Detlen is 5’7” and, much like his creator, rather unremarkable. Attired in a dark blue turtleneck with dark green sleeves and collar coupled with loose black pants and only wraps on his hands and feet, he looks almost defenseless. He has untidy onyx hair that falls to his hazel eyes and mostly hides a dark green headband, and the almost perpetual look of genuine interest and curiosity on his face adds to his harmless impression. The only part that betrays this innocuous pretense is the scar across the bridge of his nose.
Personality: Contrary to his appearance, Detlen is actually rather apathetic and doesn’t really ask questions. He’d rather make his own assumptions and doesn’t care if he’s right or not if he doesn’t deem it important. He also tends to react more than act and often finds himself wondering what to do next as a result. However, once he has decided to do something, he almost always follows through with it. His nature is rather shy, and he rarely approaches people on his own. If others approach him, however, he’s quite sociable.
Locke modeled Detlen’s personality off of his own but with key differences. Where Detlen doesn’t ask questions, Locke usually will, at least in his mind. He also has a passion for martial arts that he tries to keep separate from Detlen's persona with moderate success. Other than that, Detlen’s personality is Locke’s, as Locke is also apathetic, at least on the surface, rather shy, and generally amiable.
Bio: Locke’s childhood had little to note, at least as from his point of view. He was adopted at a young age by a friend of his father’s, though he’s never cared to know why, and he grew up in an apartment in the midst of a mediocre city. He discovered that it was near several martial arts dojos when he was young, and he spent much of his free time watching the practitioners and trying his best to learn them himself. He soon found his arm prevented him from effectively practicing the ones he enjoyed most, however, and he contented himself just to watch after a short time. When the accident that injured his leg and killed his caretaker occurred, he came into possession of an account his caretaker had created to take care of him if something were to ever happen. Thus, Locke no longer had to concern himself with how to make money in the future, and he promptly dropped out of school. At first, he spent as much time as possible visiting the dojos. He soon realized it was very taxing to travel with his useless leg, however, and he began limiting his ventures from the apartment. He grew bored quickly and began to search for something to do from the comfort of home. While searching on the internet, he heard about The Game, and he considered it for some time as a possible way to spend his time. When, a year after his accident, he realized he could use it to explore his passion for martial arts, he decided The Game had to be what he was searching for. Thus, Detlen was created.
In the half a year Detlen has existed, he has left no real impression on those around him. Detlen doesn’t have much of a story, and what story he does have, he isn’t interested enough in to remember or tell. He often explores wherever seems interesting, though if he goes alone he uses it strictly as a chance to improve his skills. Because of this, he is on a lower-mid level but has at least a general idea of how he likes to believe The Game works. Server: Náströnd -Mirai

Aries, as with her player, is eccentric, though she doesn’t necessarily mean to be. She’s usually seen wandering around from town-to-town, searching for something she can’t remember.
