"Probably," Ewan snorted. He lead Kate in the direction that Desmond had pointed to. His heart started beating really fast as he glanced round the jungle. He looked to Claire. "What do you think that was?" he whispered.

((Hmm... well, Kate and Jack were at the edge of the jungle, searching for Ewan. I'm playing Jack but uh... let's just say I'm not the best at his character. Hehe. Do you want me to PM you a summary of what you missed?))

Ewan glanced worriedly in the direction that Desmond had gone. "What? You think there's something wrong with him?" he said gently. He held the gun awkwardly against his chest, his fingers fumbling to find the trigger just incase.

"A Scot can always take care of himself," Ewan laughed. It was ironic because Ewan was afraid that if whatever had made the noise came near him, he would run screaming.

Suddenly he turned to Claire when he saw a few leaves rattle and heard a soft crunch. "Did you... am I over reacting?" he said without finishing his sentence.

Crunch. Crunch. The thing was getting closer... whatever it was. Ewan turned to Claire with a worried expression. He looked down at the glock in his hand. "I guess now would be the right time to use this..." he muttered. He took the weapon and raised it to his eye level, aiming carefully. Crunch Crunch.

((I think I'm going to use these 'for' quotes that are like thoughts. Some peolple do that right?))

'You've done this SO many times in films... why can't you do it now? Huh, Ewan? You wimp!' Ewan's eyebrows lowered as he peered at the bushes. His right hand was shaking nervously as it hovered round the trigger.

There was a loud growl and a huge ball of white fur emerged from the bushes. It was... a polar bear? Ewan shot the growling thing a confused look. He winced as he nervously fired the first shot at the bear.

The polar bear continued running on. He raced towards Ewan and Claire, clawing at the ground. Accidently, Ewan dropped the gun. It had just slipped from his sweaty hands. He turned to Claire nervously. "Run!" he screamed.

Desmond raced as fast as he could. He jumped infront of Ewan and Claire just in time. He aimed the rifle right at the polar bear's heart and shot four times. The white, furry bear collapsed to the ground and Desmond turned to the pair, slinging the strap of the gun over his shoulder. "Now that was close, eh, brotha?"

Ewan just stared in shock. He watched the polar bear fall to the ground and looked up at Desmond gratefully. "Yeah... thanks," he said softly. He turned to Claire to see if she was alright.
