Yeah, Jun did that when I joined - she started me out with several K.
I think they disabled gift giving to make it harder for hackers to start new mules specifically for transferring stolen goods. Now they need a trading pass to get stuff from people, which can be traced (as opposed to gift giving, which couldn't, if I recall correctly).
Then again, if you have expensive things, and you're dumb enough to get hacked... you kinda almost deserve it.
...
I think someone on my friends list got hacked, though. :/

I don't think I have anything worth that much, outside of my Angelic Camisole, Bracelets, and Staff of the Angels. Even so, those are all only 150k items.
My net worth was calculated at about 2.2 mil, though. mrgreen b

Ohhhhhhhhh......... Are we talking about dream avi's?!??!?! Mine is to look like an angel, hence I am trying to save up so that I may buy angel items. Now if you want expensive quest, there you have it. You try saving up millions so that you can get your dream avi.

Oh, god - the Angelic Bracelets alone are about 150k right now (GOT 'EM FOR LIEK 35 YEY). Just be glad you're not female, Billy - you'd be expected to have the Camisole, which is another 150k. :/
And the Pendant and Anklets I want are up to 400-someodd now. gonk gonk gonk
Although it's easier to make an Angelic avatar with other items - for instance, the Bani Clips instead of the Angelic Minis, of which there is only one or two more pairs in the marketplace, and as such are going for like 20mil, which is more than any one person should ever keep on hand at any one time. T^T
